After a day of rest in the Chambord Islands, Chris and his party returned to the Navy Headquarters. Although this graduation assessment, except for Satoru, had been quite a challenge for everyone, they passed, and Zefa had nothing to say about it.
The location where the battle took place was all captured in photos, and to be honest, even someone like Zefa, who had fought in many battles over the years, couldn't figure out how such destruction was caused.
Today was the last night for their elite class to get together. After tonight, they would be assigned to important naval forts around the world, and only a few would be able to stay at the Navy Headquarters.
Everyone was drunk, even Teacher Zefa. After all, these students had been with him for six years, and it was unrealistic to say he had no emotions toward them. Although Zefa was strict with them during training, it was because of the deep affection he held for them and his desire to see them live through the dangerous future of battle.
Among the group, however, there was one person who was sober—Satoru. Not only was he too young to drink, but even if he were allowed, he wouldn't partake. After all, he needed to keep his brain clear at all times.
"Really, you guys should sleep here," Satoru muttered as he looked at the people who had fallen asleep in the training ground. He didn't bother moving them back to the dormitory.
At this moment, Satoru suddenly felt someone spying on him. He couldn't find their presence through his six eyes, though. The feeling was odd—like the gaze was coming from all directions.
"Since you're all here, come out. It's not okay to be sneaky," Satoru said aloud.
With that, a strong wind suddenly blew, and a figure wearing a dark green cloak appeared before him. Satoru immediately recognized the person and felt a bit surprised. Despite being part of the family now, it was the first time Satoru had met this individual.
"I didn't expect you, the world's most wanted criminal, to dare to swagger into the Navy Headquarters. Dragon," Satoru remarked.
The figure in front of him was none other than Garp's son, Luffy's father, Satoru's nominal uncle, and the leader of the Revolutionary Army—Dragon. He was also known for being one of the greatest threats to the world government after Roger.
"Aren't you afraid I'll call you in to arrest you? Even you wouldn't be able to escape from the heavily surrounded Navy Headquarters," Satoru added.
At present, the Navy's combat power in the headquarters was formidable. Besides Sengoku, there were still two other Admirals. With the combined power of the three Admirals, even Dragon would find it difficult to break through such an encirclement.
Zefa didn't count for much in this situation since he was currently drunk, and it was good if he didn't end up as a hostage.
"I'm sure you're not going to do that. We're family, aren't we? Monkey D. Satoru," Dragon said, deliberately adding Satoru's surname.
Satoru wasn't surprised that Dragon knew him, considering that Garp and Dragon likely had frequent contact.
"So, what brings you here? Don't tell me you just wanted to see me," Satoru said, raising an eyebrow.
"I just came to the Navy Headquarters to pick up something, and, by the way, see what kind of person the new member of our family is," Dragon explained.
"Well, now that you've seen me, what do you think of me?" Satoru asked, studying Dragon's projection-like figure. Although Dragon's figure appeared in front of him, it was more like a projection, lacking substance. Satoru's six eyes couldn't detect any life force from Dragon's form.
"Impressive, especially for someone who can cause such a stir in the Chambord Islands," Dragon noted.
Many ordinary people wouldn't know the specifics of the destruction in the Chambord Islands, but Dragon, with his ties to the Revolutionary Army, had inside information from high-ranking Navy officers.
"I want to invite you to join our Revolutionary Army. I don't suppose you'd be interested?" Dragon asked, after a brief pause.
Satoru had heard rumors from his father about people in the Revolutionary Army and was intrigued. According to his father, Dragon's army could change the tide of the battle in the world.
"Did you invite me because of Mr. Garp?" Satoru asked curiously, now aware that Dragon's visit was likely tied to Garp.
"Indeed, the old man said that you're a key figure who could change the situation in the future. I trust his judgment," Dragon said, his voice unwavering.
"Hahaha, so the old man truly believes in me," Satoru laughed. "But the Revolutionary Army does sound more interesting than the Navy."
Satoru was always drawn to the challenges that seemed impossible. He knew that the only way to truly change the world was by joining the Revolutionary Army. Neither the Navy nor the Pirates could achieve that goal.
"But if you want me to join, at least show me some sincerity and come in person," Satoru said, a smirk forming on his face.
Upon hearing Satoru's words, Dragon was momentarily stunned.
"You really aren't a simple person. I was too hasty. I'll leave the headquarters now, but the next time I come to invite you, I'll make sure to do so properly," Dragon said.
With those final words, Dragon's form began to distort and eventually disappeared, leaving the Navy Headquarters once again.
"Then we'll see each other next time, Mr. Dragon," Satoru called out, watching as Dragon's projection faded.
