Chapter 10 - Which Witch are you?

Keomi was about to collapse before Taga caught her. "I got you, ghost buddy," Taga said as she helped Keomi stand up straight. The two of them walked toward the basement stairs and sat there together. Taga sat next to Keomi, still in shock at what had happened.

"...Wow Keomi, I-...I don't even know what to say." Taga said, Keomi shook her head as she wiped her face.

"I could just tell...she was angry and miserable. No one deserves to die feeling like that. Nobody." Keomi said. Taga nodded to her. "Something tells me though, that the spirit we just encountered wasn't the one we were after. Or at least not the one who has anything to do with the boys disappearing." Taga said. Keomi was breathing heavily as she tried to catch her breath. "Don't worry Keomi I'll get you back to your house." Taga said as she helped Keomi up and to the stairs.

"This may have been more than I...bargained for hehehe." Keomi chuckled. Taga smiled at her. "Thats ok, you did great!" Taga said as she and Keomi eventually arrived above the basement floor door. Taga would close it behind her as Keomi kept trying to catch her breath. That's when the sound of the school bell would ring off throughout the school, the two girls looked at one another in embarrassment at the fact they had missed the entire school day. However, all they could was just laugh at how crazy of a day it was for them and just what they were going to tell their parents once they got back. Keomi and Taga would exit campus little after everyone else, both of them extremely tired from the day they had.

"Aw man, I could really go for some mochie right now. All that running around and dodging flying papers, ya'know, all that sci-fi stuff. Really has me parched. You want to go pick up some boba on the way home." Taga asked, Keomi's head shot up, almost like as if everything that she went through didn't happen. "I LOVE BOBA!" she replied, Taga rubbed under her nose with confidence.

"Heh, I knew it. Only a real investigator of the supernatural world would be interested in boba." Taga said, "You've met others with the same taste before?" Keomi asked.

"No, just based on my good taste." Taga said with a wide and proud smile. Keomi gave a small chuckle as the two eventually made it to the Boba restaurant, both of them standing in line and watching as people ordered their own drinks and snacks. "Oh my gosh! I can't wait to get mine. I'm gonna order for a grape one with extra boba." Taga said as Keomi smiled at her before turning her head and looking outside the windows to the restaurant.

"Sometimes I forget just how short things in life can be, some of them being even shorter than others. In those moments, it can make moments like these feel like they last forever. Which I love, that's why I love people, it's why I love life. And want to continue to help Taga out, this has only opened the door for more to come, and-" Keomi then remembered the strange fluid that leaked from her face. She touched her cheek right under her eye. She would then look to her hand...

"...Maybe even more for me too." Keomi thought, "KEOMI! Its our turn to order." Taga shouted.

"Coming!" Keomi responded as she ran to the front counter next to Taga. And while the day came to close, and the night began to come upon the town. Deep in Keomi's school, in the hidden basement from before. The darkness suddenly was illuminated by a strange purple light.
