The next day at Tomo High, Keomi and Taga traveled around the school together, and Taga took Keomi around to visit spots of interest in their investigation. Eventually, the two arrived at the school's back gate, which had been sealed permanently. Keomi looked at it curiously while Taga flipped through her book and landed on a page.
"So this is a spiritual landmark?" Keomi asked. Taga nodded.
"This place was the scene of some really bad stuff a long time ago, one story goes that a student by the name of Kyoya Shigeri, had come here after being asked by a crush she had to do so. She came here hoping she'd be accepted only for her arrival to be the laughingstock of her entire school life." Taga said dramatically, Keomi looked at Taga with worry from the story she was told before then looking back to the gate.
"So what happened to her?" Keomi asked worriedly. "Oh she moved." said Taga.
Keomi breathed a sigh of relief. "Then why are we looking at this gate?" Keomi asked.
"Because I want you to get the feeling, that feeling of dread that someone gets when they see something bad. Like a car crash. Thats the feeling I get when I come to places like this." Taga said. Keomi nodded as she looked at the gate. She then would look around and find a flower near the schoolyard where the track field was. She'd make her way over to it and then pick up the flower. It was a lavender flower, she raced back over and set it down next to the gate. Taga looked at the action with curiosity.
"What are you doing?" she asked.
"Giving this place some peace, lavenders are known to be peaceful flowers, so I figured I'd place one down to give this place a more peaceful aura." Keomi said. Taga smiled at that as Keomi then backed up next to her. A little later the two would be walking about the school until they stopped at some bathrooms in building A which were off-limits and slightly boarded up. Keomi stared at it with Taga who then wrote down some stuff before giving the book to Keomi who then looked at it. The page read-
"Bathroom Poltergeist, a bathroom poltergeist is a spirit that is tied to a urinal space. The one here at Tomo High, is particularly active during the wintertime due to the accident that occurred there. There once was a boy who got in trouble with the authorities and decided to lock himself in the school bathrooms. However, he'd be too afraid to leave them due to getting caught. So he stayed there for three days and eventually and tragically passed.
Now his spirit haunts the boy's bathroom here in building A. It's said that many people reported strange sounds, and the lights flickering off and on." the page said, Keomi finished reading it and then closed the book. She stared at the bathroom. She also got a bad feeling from being near it, just like at the gate. It was a hard thing to explain, the only way to really describe was in fact like a car crash.
"Theres a lot of places around school that feel just like this. Places where you can feel people have suffered greatly or had. Yet everyone around the school just ignores it. They don't want to see that the school's aura is diminishing every day they are left to sit.
But that's why we're here. To know why the boys of the school are disappearing and if possible, save them." Taga said, Keomi enjoyed Taga's optimism and enthusiasm, like her energy it was intoxicating. So the two then would arrive on the top of the school, its roof. It was a bit windy up here, but still bearably. Now while the school had never seen a single student jump to their end from the roof, they never wanted to have a record of it ever. So, on the roof, they had fences on the railings that curved at the top. It may not look nice, but the school took efficiency over style. Keomi and Taga stared out from the school rooftop and saw the entire town nearby. Keomi was taken aback by its beauty and the sky, which also complimented the scene.
"Wow...Its so beautiful. Sometimes I feel like I never get to see just the scale of the world. It's huge." Keomi said.
"Yea." Taga said, she then would grab Keomi by her shoulders and spin her around while Keomi just let it happen. "WOOOooOoOooah, I'm spinning now!" Keomi smiled and laughed dizzily.
"This is what spirits see in the physical world." Taga said while still spinning Keomi. "Physical world?" Keomi asked.
"Yes, the physical world." Taga said as she then stopped spinning Keomi. Keomi was dizzy, but then shook it off.
"You see, the physical world is everything that we see and know. Things that are just not up for debate or question, but the Spiritual macrocosm only exists in abstracts. Nothing about it is solid nor is it able to be. I've of COURSE collected this information on my own, no internet required." Taga said proudly with Keomi giggling.
"So, if spirits live in the spirit uhhh, macrocosm, then how do they get here?" Keomi asked. "Well, the only explanation is that they link themselves with people and their emotions. Think of it like a bridge, they can use it to cross over here." Taga said, Keomi then thought to herself before asking another question.
"If we danced around and were happy while doing it, could we summon a spirit here?" asked Keomi with a smile. Taga tapped on her chin before answering.
"Maybe." Taga laughed, that's when the two would begin to fail their arms around, shaking their bodies wildly in some form or attempt at dancing with their laughter and giggles being their music. The day now being filled with not just Keomi's grasp on the spiritual, but no more on Taga as a friend.
