It has been four years since I was born, my birthday was last week. In the four years I have learned quite many things, I was born 36 years after Konohagakure was founded or the year before Kakashi was born.
I had quite a lot of time before the canon started or 14 years till Naruto was born.
The language this world used was Japanese, there was no concept of English for that matter. It was good for me.
I needed plans and goals to survive and thrive in this world. I could be a normal citizen and live but there was no guarantee I would be safe, as an ex-military I knew the dangers of being a normal citizen.
Today was the day of admission for The Academy. From what I learned the fees were high but for clans there was special discount and for more talented kids there were full scholarships.
"Yato! Are you ready?"
l looked at the direction of the voice, even though I had already sensed her presence. She was the clan's caretaker an old woman whose hair was already white. She was rather short probably due to her back being crooked.
My name..Yato Inuzuka. My mom who passed away after birthing me gave me the name. Yato can be translated to 'Night Person' but also as 'At last', the latter being the meaning my mother asked for.
I looked at the mirror, what reflected back was my face...still unfamiliar. A small boy with a cute face, medium length black hair and eyes the same color as the hair. The most distinct feature was two marks below his eyes. One could tell he was from Inuzuka clan from the mark.
'Yato Inuzuka'
"Yes, Ma!"
Everyone in the clan called her Ma. If I passed the academy exam then I would get my very own ninken.
The exam was rather easy, 60 was physical while the other 40 was of theory, bringing the all total to 100.
We both made our way to the Academy. There was a huge line and the test started from here. Ma went to take a token and we stayed in the line.
First, these ninja would check our chakra level.
Slowly time passed and the line gradually declined.
"Token no 102"
It was my turn.
"Go Yato" Ma said to me and pushed me a little bit, I nodded my head and went towards the room where they were checking our chakra level.
As soon as I entered the room all eyes fell on me.
There were three people there all wearing the standard chunin outfit.
One of them was carrying a clipboard l, the other sitting in a chair where another chair was right infront of him and the other man was just standing there menacingly.
"Come sit down" The chunin sitting in the chair,motioned me and I sat down.
He urged me to bring my hand forward and I did, he placed his palms above my hand and I could instinctively sense a foreign energy sweeping in my body.
It was a uncomfortable feeling but I did not resist it. The man also seemed to notice it as after exactly three seconds the chakra moved out from my body.
"You could feel that?" The man asked and I nodded.
"Yes"
The man smirked and looked at his companion amd nodded his head.
"You passed" The man holding the clipboard said.
"What's your name?"
"Yato Inuzuka"
The man quickly jolted that down.
"Go to room no 8"
I nodded and went out of the room.
I saw many children my age roaming the place, I read the name of rooms until I spotted the room I was supposed to go in.
I made my way towards that room.
Inside the room there were another trio of chunin sitting in a wooden chair with a wooden desk infront of them.
The room was rather blank except for a chair right infront of the chunin's desk.
"Inuzuka Yato, I presume?"
"Yes sir" I said to the chunin in the middle.
"Go sit down"
The chunin motioned and I followed.
I nodded and sat down after that a series of question followed. The questions ranged from basic literary to arithmetic to history.
I noticed that the chunin were all jolting it down as if grading me.
Then it clicked, it was the Theory exams but from what I heard it was in a classroom like a standard test. Hm..My info is wrong eh!
Soon the test ended and after I answered all the answers, I could see a little hint of surprise in their eyes.
"Now you can stay in the waiting room A."
I nodded and went their.
The waiting room A had many clan kids and I could sense a little of every one's chakra. It was a trait I had since I was just a baby.
I could instinctively feel the foreign energy.
Soon physical tests were held and I passed...I had topped the entrance examination!
