KIRHA VILLA
Aria sat on the bed, thinking about tonight's event. If Tristan hadn't given her his pendant, then she would have been dead. What was she even thinking going into a dark alley? But then again, she was sure that she had seen Hailey.
Tristan entered the room with a pack of ice and knelt down, placing the ice on her twisted ankle.
He looked up at Aria when she winced in pain and asked, "Does it still hurt?"
Aria nodded softly.
"How long does it take for your injuries to get healed?"
Aria shrugged and replied, "I heal at the same pace as a human."
"That isn't right." Tristan whispered.
"What?"
"Nothing."
Aria looked at Tristan, who was focused on holding the ice to her foot, and she remembered the sound of his soft sob. She was curious about what made him shed those tears, but it was obvious he didn't want to talk about it.
"Is Fred okay?" Aria asked, breaking the sudden silence.
