Darius didn't understand the question, the man repeated it and he didn't react. After a few seconds of thinking, he came up with an appropriate response, which was different from before, since he now knew how to dance and people had seen him dancing.
"I apologize if I have offended you in any way," he said with a slight bow. "I'm only the fourth son, I won't inherit the title or the lands. It wouldn't be appropriate for your daughter to dance with someone like me, who at heart is not so different from a commoner."
"Title isn't everything, the Duke liked you, so it's only natural that people want to get close to you, even if you don't have a title or anything. Don't worry about it."
Kaly appeared.
"I need you, we've been summoned to a meeting with the Duke."
Darius said goodbye to the man and he followed Kaly.
"I've read your letter, I'm not sure how to answer this," he said, holding up the letter that was in the gift box.
