The sunlight barely penetrated the thick mantle of clouds covering the sky, but that did not matter to me. I was the darkness, the shadow that fed on fear and despair. The world below moved, so carefree, so unaware of the storm that was approaching. And I was eager to bring that storm.
As I watched Ribestum from a safe distance, my lips curled into a smile. The city pulsed with life, its inhabitants despising the true nature of power. They believed they were safe, that their magical barriers and alliances protected them. But they did not know that I had broken those barriers even before they were built.
"Ah, Sayuri, Hiruto and Lian," I thought, remembering the faces of those young warriors who dared to oppose me. They were so naive, so full of bravery and determination. But bravery without wisdom is just an invitation to destruction. I let them live, not out of compassion, but because the pain I would cause by seeing their hopes shattered would be much more delicious.

The atmosphere around Emani pulsed with a dense and oppressive energy. She was seated on a throne made of shadows and fragments of light, at the center of her domain, the Shadow World. Each of her thoughts, each of her emotions reverberated through the space, shaping the reality around her. She was truly a queen, but her intentions were anything but benevolent.

"They are gathering, are they not? The warriors of Ribestum, ready to unite against me," I murmured to myself, a soft laugh escaping my lips. "As if unity could save what is already doomed to fail."
The Gods of Destiny were perplexed. Even after the defeat, they still believed they could stop me. They did not understand that I was not a mere usurper, but the very essence of change. And this change would not be contained by rules or gods. My strength was rooted in the hopes and fears of mortals, and I had each of them in my hands.
"But perhaps it's time for me to play the situation in a different way," I thought, a bold idea forming in my mind. "What if I infiltrate? What if I disguise myself as a wounded warrior from a distant kingdom, someone seeking shelter and aid?"
The vision of myself, wounded and vulnerable, awakened a new emotion within me. The idea of presenting myself as a refugee, someone who could gain the trust of the Ribestum warriors, was irresistible. They were so confident in their strength that they would never imagine that the true threat was right under their noses.

As the idea solidified in her mind, Emani began to visualize the disguise. A warrior from a distant kingdom, with scars of past battles and a look of desperation. This persona could easily infiltrate the world elite, gaining access to information and plans that she could use to her advantage.

"Yes, this will work. I can become the victim they cannot ignore. I will approach Sayuri, Hiruto and Lian. They will feel pity for me, and that will give me the opportunity to discover all their plans in an entertaining way. And when the right moment comes, I will reveal my true nature."
A malicious smile spread across my face as the idea took shape. I already knew how to manipulate emotions, how to make mortals dance to my will. And now, with this new strategy, I could do it in an even more refined way.
"I will initiate the next phase of my plan. I will let them welcome me, and then, when I am closer, the darkness that I am will reveal its true power."
