Noticed something in my original draft a big plot hole so I fixed and and am now adding this to explain How Eren Gets Technology
The Tower's Connection to the Outside World:
• The Tower doesn't completely isolate Eren. After completing each floor, he is granted temporary access to the outside world through "Phantom Gates," which are time-limited portals connected to his workshop or the world outside.
• These gates allow Eren to return home briefly, where he can restock, build new gadgets, and research strategies for the next floor.
How He Affords It:
• Tower Rewards: After clearing each floor, Eren receives Tower Tokens, magical currency that he can exchange for resources back on Earth. These tokens are highly sought after, as they can also be traded for money or rare items.
• Sponsorships: As the only climber, Eren becomes a global phenomenon. Governments, corporations, and even private investors offer him sponsorship deals in exchange for advertising their brands or testing their products in the Tower.
• Resource Scavenging: Eren salvages unique materials from the Tower—like rare crystals or metals—that he sells on Earth to fund his operations.
The Tower's Influence on Tech:
• The Tower has strange effects on technology. Some machines function normally, while others malfunction due to the magical environment. Over time, Eren starts developing hybrid tech infused with Tower materials (e.g., drones powered by mana crystals or energy shields reinforced by enchanted alloys).
Limitation to Prevent Abuse:
• Strict Time Limits: The Phantom Gate only stays open for a short period after each floor. Eren must prioritize what he can bring back to the Tower. This creates tension and forces him to strategize.
• One-Way Entry: Only Eren can pass through the Phantom Gate, and any tech brought into the Tower cannot be taken back to the outside world. This ensures the Tower's influence doesn't spread uncontrollably.
• Tech Decay: Technology in the Tower degrades over time due to its magical atmosphere. This forces Eren to continually innovate and adapt, preventing him from relying solely on outside tools.
