Chapter 2 - Liu Yuyan

As Tian Lei waited in line, he couldn't help but notice the glances and whispers around him. Many female disciples turned to look at him, some blushing deeply, while others whispered to their companions, stealing shy glances.

In stark contrast, the male disciples were far less welcoming. Some gritted their teeth in irritation, while others muttered under their breath, barely concealing their jealousy.

"What's so special about his handsome face? He's just a weakling," one male disciple scoffed, his tone dripping with envy.

Tian Lei sighed inwardly. Thanks to the blessing—or curse—of his mother's divine genes, he had been reborn with an absurdly attractive face, even by cultivation standards. In his previous life, his looks might have led people to mistake him for a woman. Now, with cultivation enhancing his appearance, his features radiated an ethereal charm that drew unwanted attention from all directions.

"This... I just hope no overbearing 'Senior Sisters' come harassing me," he thought wryly. As an avid reader of fantasy novels in his past life, he knew all too well how such scenarios usually unfolded. Unfortunately for him, his prayers were about to go unanswered.

"Junior Brother~"

A soft, melodious voice called out from behind him. The playful yet commanding tone sent a chill down Tian Lei's spine. He turned slowly, already dreading what he would see.

Approaching him with a radiant smile was Liu Yuyan, known as the "Goddess of the Outer Sect." She was renowned for her beauty and talent, her presence commanding admiration and envy alike. Her smile seemed to make the air around her sparkle, and her every movement was like a graceful dance.

Tian Lei's heart sank.

"I'm doomed," he thought, keeping his face neutral as he steeled himself for the inevitable.

Liu Yuyan stopped in front of him, tilting her head slightly as her captivating eyes locked onto his.

"Junior Brother, how about you let me cut in line? Someone as handsome as you wouldn't mind doing a small favor for me, right?"

Her voice was sweet, but there was an undeniable authority behind it, making refusal seem impossible. Tian Lei swallowed a sigh, inwardly cursing the so-called "charm" he never asked for.

"Of course, Senior Sister," he replied, stepping out of the line.

However, before he could retreat to the back of the queue, Liu Yuyan grabbed his sleeve. Startled, Tian Lei turned to face her.

"Senior Sister, do you need anything else?" he asked cautiously.

Liu Yuyan smiled brightly, her tone leaving no room for argument.

"Where are you going? Stay here in line." Without waiting for his response, she pulled him beside her.

Though Tian Lei wanted to protest, he knew he was no match for her strength. With her cultivation far exceeding his, resistance was futile. Helpless, he resigned himself to standing obediently just behind her in line.

"Just stay here, okay?" she said with a mix of sweetness and authority, her smile dazzling.

Before Tian Lei could even process her command, Liu Yuyan took charge. With a wave of her hand and a commanding shout—"Scram!"—she cleared the disciples ahead of her. None dared oppose her as she marched to the front of the line.

Once she received her resources, she turned back to Tian Lei, handing him a spatial ring containing his monthly cultivation supplies. But before he could thank her, she snatched it back.

"Wait," she said. "Let me organize this for you."

Effortlessly, she arranged the contents of the ring with meticulous care, then handed it back.

"There, all set," she said with a satisfied smile.

Tian Lei accepted the ring, nodding politely. However, before he could escape to his room for some peace, Liu Yuyan spoke again.

"Let's go to my house. I'll help you with your cultivation."

His eyes widened in alarm.

"Senior Sister, that's not necessary. I can—"

She interrupted with a grin.

"This is a rare opportunity, Junior Brother. Don't waste it. Seniors guidance can help you avoid lot of set backs"

With that, she grabbed his arm and began leading him toward her residence, ignoring his weak protests.

"This Senior Sister... how am I supposed to refuse her?" Tian Lei muttered under his breath.

Unfortunately, his quiet complaint didn't escape her sharp hearing.

"Refuse me? Don't joke, Junior Brother, of course you can, I am not a tyrant who wouldn't listen to you" she said with a laugh, tightening her grip.

Her tightening grip and sweet voice create a contrasted scene telling Tian Lei, he can't avoid her.

As the two entered her residence, the door shut behind them.

From a distance, a male disciple watched the scene unfold. His expression darkened as he saw Liu Yuyan dragging Tian Lei into her home. Grinding his teeth in frustration, he pulled out a communication talisman and activated it.

Moments later, a cold voice resonated from the talisman.

"What is it?"

"Lord, that Goddess Yuyan just went into her room with some guy," the disciple reported.

Silence hung in the air for a moment before the voice returned, dripping with venom.

"That whoring bitch. How dare she!! " The other side yelled as he then added venomously.

"Kill them both."

The talisman flared briefly before the connection was severed. The disciple smirked, muttering under his breath.

"Blame yourself for catching the attention of the woman the Senior Brother desires."

Without hesitation, he hurried off to make the necessary arrangements. Trouble was brewing, and Tian Lei had unknowingly become the center of a deadly storm.

As the disciple walked away, Liu Yuyan's face flashed vividly in his mind. A sinister grin spread across his lips.

"Hehe, Senior Brother Li wants them dead, but he won't mind if we have a little fun with her first, right?" he muttered to himself, his laugh low and chilling.

Without wasting any time, he made his way to gather his associates—fellow lackeys of Senior Brother Li—who would assist him in carrying out this dark task. This wasn't the first time they had been assigned such work, and the disciple felt no qualms about what was to come.

"Senior Brother Li gave the order. That means everything is fair game," he thought, his smirk widening.
