Chereads / Sun thief / Chapter 4 - Spectacular

Chapter 4 - Spectacular

Murmurs.

_What's that noise_

Louder murmurs.

_Is there a thief in my house. Let him be_

Even louder.

_Seriously. Can't he just rob me a little quieter_

Savin was pulled out of his nap by a heavy slap.

He peeled his eyes open slowly to view the adversery in front of him.

"And you seriously still have the nerve to be asleep at a time like this."

In front of him was an olive skin woman in beach travel clothing which fully displayed her slender figure but valaptuous body.

The sunlight further higlighted her features.

"Aunt Hellen?"

She had been complaining.

"Seriously, what's that smell? Did something die in here?"

She had pressed her fingers against her nose to block the disturbing smell of Savin's body odour.

"If that's aunt Hellen then that means that, I'm alive. I survived."

"Ha, kid what are you talking about. You smell dead to me."

He jumped onto aunt Hellen giving her a sincere warm embrace. Afterwards, he went up in tears.

She was confused but embraced him back, after all, they were family.

He thereafter took a shower and went to help her out in the kitchen.

They had sandwiches for breakfast on that day.

"So kid, why'd you break down the goddamned door?"

He almost chocked on his sandwich.

"It was.... It was because I was in a hurry and couldn't find my keys."

"Oh is that so."

She took a deep breath.

"Can you get a little more responsible around here. You're 20 for God's sake."

"I know I'm really sorry."

He bowed in apology.

She took a deep breath and sighed.

"How'd you even knock down that door. Last time I checked it was up to Litma standards."

Litma is the organisation in charge of security in the country.

He made a sly grin and spoke.

"You know I've gotten a lot stronger since you last saw me."

He was flexing his right arm to her and gloating.

She looked away, clearly annoyed.

"And I also wanted to ask you aunt Hellen, what are you doing back here instead of being abroad at work?"

She tipped the glass jug and poured in some water into her cup.

"I heard that you had gotten into an accident so I came as soon as I could. I was worried since... you know. I was worried about the other incident."

Savin remembered the incident of his parents' death.

The bitter memories made him fidget in agony and frustration.

"You know I should gave been here around two weeks earlier but those bastards are still all about war. I wish their beds would be soiled by cat feaces."

She was trying to lighten the mood.

It worked spectacularly well.

It evolved a grin from him.

He then chuckled for a little while.

"Aunt Hellen, you still have a fear of cats. You scaredy cat scared of cats."

She also evolved a smile.

"Hey are you laughing, you know the sounds they make. Those are actually calls for war and deception."

He laughed even more.

"Hey they're evil beings I'm telling you."

They proceeded to laugh and joke for the rest of the morning.

He didn't have to go to school after all it was on a public holiday.

The 6th of August. John Saint's Spectacular day.
