"Aalleeeennnn!"
With that man's scream, I ran as fast as I could towards the woman being pulled by the Ogre. The woman named Allen was wearing a brown robe typical of a 'wizard' just like in the fantasy stories I've seen all this time.
Her body looked very small in the Ogre's hand, which was about three meters tall. Allen's face looked pale with fear.
After almost reaching their place, I immediately aimed and released my arrow right at the Ogre's head. Before I released it, I had gathered enough wind attributes at the tip of my arrow. My arrow flew and... pierced the head of the ferocious Ogre.
The body of the woman named Allen was thrown into the air along with the falling Ogre. I ran, jumped, and then caught her with both my hands. Then my body fell to the ground carrying Allen's body in my arms.
Then I asked about her condition, "Are you alright, Miss?"
"Yes..." she answered me with a red face.
Maybe she was embarrassed of me.
Shortly after I put down the woman named Allen, I suddenly heard a ferocious growl from behind me. An Ogre was running towards us. And I wouldn't have time to use my bow and arrow.
Quickly, I took the knife that was behind me. This knife was a gift from Mr. Efran to replace my stone knife. He gave it to me, saying 'You're really pathetic, Nagi boy'. Followed by Mr. Efran's cheerful laughter.
I ran to meet the Ogre's attack. Then I slid between its legs. Then I slashed the back of its left ankle, just above the heel. My slash should be deep enough to cut the nerves there.
The Ogre's body began to stagger and kneel on one leg. While his left hand was clutching the wound I gave on his left ankle. His body became lower.
Of course, I wouldn't waste this opportunity just like that. Immediately after seeing that position, I quickly ran and charged at the kneeling Ogre. And I stabbed my knife into its neck.
The Ogre screamed in pain.
I stabbed again, and again... and again. I kept stabbing it repeatedly. The Ogre's green blood spurted everywhere, along with the swing of my knife.
The Ogre's body collapsed forward.
But, before I could take a breath, I suddenly saw an Ogre running towards the woman I had just saved. The woman's face looked startled to find one of the Ogres attacking her again. The Ogre swung its fist at the woman.
Damn, I won't be in time.
But my worry disappeared after one of their companions jumped and blocked the Ogre's fist with his axe. He was an old man, probably about forty years old with a height of about 1.2 meters.
Could he be a Dwarf race?
The woman named Allen began to chant her spell and the ground where the Ogre stood turned into mud. The mud sucked up half of the Ogre's body. Then the old dwarf swung his axe and decapitated the Ogre.
I then began to observe my surroundings. The man in full silver armor was fighting two Ogres at the same time. He slashed at the Ogre with the sword in his right hand. And he blocked the attacks of the Ogre's giant sticks with a golden shield in his left hand.
Not far from where I was standing, about ten meters away. There were two other Ogres playing chase with a black-haired archer girl. She ran while avoiding the Ogre's attacks. It looked like she kept aiming her arrows at the Orge's legs, even though her arrows weren't deep enough to injure the Ogre's legs. But she moved quite calmly and agilely.
One Ogre seemed to want to attack the old Dwarf and the woman named Allen again. But before the Ogre got close, I fired my arrow at it. I shot its left leg, then its right leg. And for the last one I shot right in the middle of its forehead. It didn't take long for the Ogre's body to collapse backwards.
Allen and the old Dwarf stared in amazement.
I turned my face towards the archer girl who was struggling with the two Ogres. I began to take a deep breath, then drew my arrow. And I started aiming my arrow at the neck of one of the Ogres there. Wind attributes began to gather at the tips of my arrows. The Ogre I was targeting began to charge towards the archer girl from the side, when the girl was busy avoiding the Ogre in front of her.
I released my arrow. And my arrow flew piercing the neck of the Ogre who was trying to charge from the side. Then, the Ogre's body collapsed lifelessly. Then the other Ogre, which attacked the archer girl, looked at me. The Ogre roared angrily at me.
The Ogre started running towards me, forgetting the archer girl in front of it. I shot the Ogre's right ankle. The Ogre knelt in pain. Then I ran, and jumped using the Ogre's knee to its neck. And sliced its neck with my knife.
Blood gushed out of the Ogre's neck. Finally, the Ogre's body fell forward. And beside me... yes... beside me now was the archer girl I had saved, staring at me with sparkling eyes.
Please stop! This is really embarrassing.
At the same time, the sword of the man in full silver armor had managed to pierce the heart of the last Ogre there. Yes, at this moment we had conquered eight Ogres that day. I got five, the old Dwarf got one, and the man in full silver armor fought two Ogres alone.
The man in full silver armor and I looked at each other for quite a long time. And the archer girl beside me... yes, she was still looking at me with sparkling eyes.
Oh my God!
Can you stop looking at me like that?!

Tonight I spent my time with the people I had saved. They told me they were a Guild Party from Riverium City, located south of the Initium Forest where I was.
Paul was the name of the old Dwarf who saved Allen. And the archer girl beside me now is named Ada. While the man in full silver armor who was sitting next to Allen was named Patt. Tonight, we spent our time joking around.
In the middle of our jokes, Patt suddenly said to me while bowing his head, "We are very grateful for Mr. Nagi's help today. Without Mr. Nagi's help we would definitely not have survived that attack."
I replied with a smile, "Please stop that, Mr. Patt. Aren't you saying that too often today. This is just a coincidence. It just so happens that I was there when the attack happened."
"But you're really amazing, Mr. Nagi! At such a young age, you already have amazing archery skills." Old Man Paul added.
Miss Allen nodded in agreement, saying, "That's right! You're amazing, Mr. Nagi."
Miss Allen smiled at me with her beautiful face. She was a woman, a Human race, about twenty-five years old. And Mr. Patt looked about the same age as her. And for Ada, she was probably about thirteen years old. It's amazing, considering she's already been a member of the Guild Party at such a young age.
"Mr. Nagi, is your arrow an 'Incanty' arrow?" Ada asked curiously.
"Yes, that's right. My bow and arrow is a wind-attributed 'Incanty'."
"That's amazing!" Ada replied as she made an archery pose with both hands. Then she continued, "Mr. Nagi ran, jumped, shot arrows, and then stabbed the Ogres with a knife."
After demonstrating all that, Ada then laughed cheerfully.
Without realizing it, my right hand began to caress her head. Ada reminded me of my younger sister in Japan. It seems I'm starting to miss her.
I went back to biting the bread in my hand. It's so delicious. Considering that I've always been eating monster meat here. Getting a human-style dish in general makes me feel happy. Honestly, I almost cried with happiness because of the bread in my hand.
"But do you know why the Ogres tried to attack me, Mr. Nagi?" Miss Allen asked while putting a spoonful of soup in her mouth.
"That's right! They attacked Miss Allen only using their bare hands, without using the big sticks in their hands." Ada added.
"That's because they didn't want to hurt Miss Allen's body." I replied.
"What do you mean?" Miss Allen asked with a confused face.
They all looked at me curiously. Then I continued,
"That's because right now it should be the mating season for monsters. And they want to make Miss Allen their..."
I stopped talking after seeing the expression on Miss Allen's face. Her eyes widened at me and... the soup bowl in her hand fell to the ground. Not only Miss Allen, but they all seemed startled to hear what I said.
What's wrong? Did I say something wrong?
Not long after, I heard Mr. Patt shout, "Damn Ogres! How dare they try to touch Miss Allen."
Mr. Patt then stood up and raised his sword, saying to me, "Mr. Nagi! Show me where the Ogres' lair is!"
Why?
"Please stop it, Mr. Patt!"
Miss Allen screamed while pulling Mr. Patt's arm.
"Let go of me, Miss Allen! I'll teach them a lesson."
"Please, don't do that."
"No, Miss Allen!"
Yes, I said the wrong thing.
"Please stop it, Mr. Patt!"
"No, Miss Allen! I haven't even touched Miss Allen's finger, how could the Ogres think of marrying you!"
"What did you say, Mr. Paaaatttt!" Miss Allen screamed hysterically.
Yes... it's my fault!
