(i removed infinity since it's two broken for now)
(Jinx pov)
I stare blankly at the screen, my mind reeling at the bizarre menu before me. The options are intriguing, but after five minutes of silent contemplation, I sigh in frustration. The abilities I truly want—Chimera Technique or Wood Release—are way out of my reach. Besides, the menu is deceptive; the Wood Release being offered isn't the legendary Hashirama-level Wood Release that everyone covets. It's just the standard version, a pale shadow of the real deal. After binge-reading dozens of fanfictions, I know the truth: to achieve Hashirama-level Wood Release, three things are typically required—Hashirama cells, Sage Mode, and, in some cases, Eternal Mangekyō Sharingan (EMS) as a substitute for Sage Mode.
Luckily, I'm already on the path to EMS since I have my father's eyes. But as for Sage Mode and Hashirama cells? They're completely out of reach, at least for now. I suspect the Arctic Fox Clan, with its ties to my Yuki heritage, might have a Sage Mode, but until I unlock at least two tomoe in my Sharingan and gain decent mastery over Ice Release, that's a pipe dream—at least, I think it is.
As for Hashirama cells? That's where things get trickier. There's a painfully limited list of potential sources, and it's not exactly promising: Danzo, Orochimaru, Madara, Obito, Zetsu, and Yamato. Half of them already have the cells integrated into their bodies, which means they're off the table. Danzo is an immediate no—I'd rather not end up as another one of his experiments. Orochimaru, however, seems like the most viable option. If I remember correctly, the Uchiha Massacre is still about a year and a half away, which means I have no more than two months before Shisui's death, the event that serves as one of the major triggers for the massacre. That leaves Orochimaru as the best, albeit most dangerous, avenue for acquiring Hashirama cells.
But even with the cells, there's one final barrier: Yang Release mastery. Hashirama's Wood Release is so potent because it embodies the perfect harmony of Yang Release, making it impossible for a typical Uchiha to match without his cells. Just as the Senju and Uzumaki clans can never achieve the full potential of Yin Release compared to an Uchiha, my natural Yang Release will always pale in comparison to that of a Senju or Uzumaki. Still, that doesn't mean I can't surpass others in Yang Release with enough effort. However, when it comes to achieving Hashirama-level Wood Release, my only realistic option is to obtain his cells—anything less would be a waste of time.
At least for Wood Release, trying to master it without his cells feels futile. But in the long run, improving my Yang Release could still be profitable since it might enhance my Sharingan even further. At least, that's how it works in theory. I decided to let go of those thoughts for now; there was no point dwelling on them. Instead, I turned my focus back to the menu, particularly the Blood Demon Arts, as those are abilities I can't obtain in this world.
Among the techniques listed, the ones that intrigued me most were Crescent Moon, Combustion Blood, and Sleep and Dream Manipulation. Crescent Moon could allow me to complete my Moon Breathing technique, while Combustion Blood offered the potential to gain a form of Sun or Flame Breathing. The latter, however, would require more work, as I'm not particularly familiar with Sun or Flame Breathing. My focus in my past life had always been on recreating Moon Breathing and perfecting my own creation: Winter Breathing. With Ice Release, I could finally complete the latter.
A sudden memory surfaced—one from when this body was three years old. I recalled being in a doctor's office, my parents concerned about why my body felt cold to the touch, like a corpse. After a thorough examination, it was discovered that my Ice Release was far more powerful than it should have been for someone my age. The Ice Release had merged with my body, making me immune to the cold. However, my young body couldn't handle the strain at the time. The doctor suggested using my fire affinity to balance the effects.
Since I had unlocked my chakra at birth—a rare occurrence for most, but not for chakra-based clans like the Uchiha or Yuki—I was trained to warm my body using Fire Release chakra. Over time, as my body adapted, I developed the ability to regulate and manipulate my blood's temperature. This allowed me to create both cold, freezing blood and hot, combustible blood. With my Uzumaki bloodline's healing factor and Saiken's chakra aiding my regeneration, I could use this ability somewhat recklessly, though not excessively. For now, it was limited, but with time and further training, I could refine it and push it even further.
Upon further consideration, I decided to purchase Combustion Blood and Crescent Moon Blade. However, something unexpected happened upon acquiring them. Merely purchasing Combustion Blood seemed to grant me a blood-based Kekkei Genkai similar to that of the Chinoki Clan, albeit less potent.
That wasn't the only surprise. The Crescent Moon Blade fell under the Yin Release category, while Combustion Blood was categorized as a Kekkei Genkai. Reflecting on it, this classification made sense. Not all elemental Kekkei Genkai require the combination of two basic chakra natures. In some cases, they result from advanced applications of shape or nature transformation alone.
Take Blaze Release as an example. Its original form is derived from Amaterasu, which is essentially unaltered flames imbued with the Uchiha's ocular abilities. Only through advanced shape transformation does it evolve into what we recognize as Blaze Release. Similarly, Acid Release and other unique elemental abilities follow this principle, originating from the refinement of a single element rather than the fusion of two.
When considering Combustion Blood, a potential elemental combination could be Water and Yang or Water and Yin. There's even a possibility of it being a Kekkei Tōta, formed by blending Yang, Yin, and Water. However, the latter is unlikely.
In truth, much like Blaze Release or Acid Release, Combustion Blood could very well be a result of advanced shape and nature transformation applied to the Water element. This realization sheds light on the vast potential of elemental manipulation. Mastering these abilities could open doors to new, unexplored techniques and greater mastery over chakra itself.
Looking deeper into it i would have 3 kekkei genkai's that is just advance shape or nature transformation with them being black lightning, acid and now blood with combustion blood being cataorize as a kekkei genkai of blood and fire (yes a kekkei genkai can be created with another kekkei genkai i mean naruto and sasuke made scorch release with blaze release and wind release).
I couldn't help but smirk as the knowledge of the two Demon Arts I'd just acquired surged through my mind. Like a river of information, it came to me in waves—intuitive, almost instinctual. The first technique, Crescent Moon Blades, required a sword to channel the power, allowing me to imbue it with chakra to launch deadly crescent-shaped waves. I could picture it clearly: the subtle flex of the blade, the surge of energy, and then the lethal arcs of chakra slicing through the air. But... that was just the beginning.
I couldn't help but feel a little impatient. The real challenge would come when I could control my Tenketsu points well enough to launch those blades from my own body, turning my limbs into weapons, my very being a conduit for chakra-based attacks. That would take time, discipline, and practice—a lot of practice.
Then, I turned my attention to the second technique: Combustion Blood. The concept was intriguing. Essentially, it allowed me to imbue my own blood with chakra, causing it to combust in a violent explosion of power. The theory was simple enough. But in practice? It was far more complicated.
While my chakra control was already impressive, it wasn't enough. I didn't have the fine-tuned body manipulation abilities required, like Tsunade or Kimimaro. I couldn't yet flood my body with chakra in the way they did to make the most of techniques like Combustion Blood. It was a hurdle I knew I had to overcome, but how?
As I thought about it, a strange recollection hit me—a memory, or rather a realization, about the Marine Six Styles from One Piece. Their techniques were built on one thing: supreme control of the body. Techniques like Geppo (the ability to jump in the air), Soru (high-speed movement), and Tekkai (reinforcing the body's defenses) were all based on body manipulation.
But then there was the ultimate technique: Life Return.
It clicked. Life Return was the key to what I needed. It was a technique that granted full control over every aspect of your body, allowing you to push the limits of what was possible in terms of chakra manipulation and body enhancement. With that level of control, I could take my body to the next level, strengthening it to the point where I could manipulate my blood, my cells, my chakra flow—everything.
I stood there for a moment, considering my options. I could wait, perhaps hoping that the technique would show up in the shop later, but that was a gamble. Training seemed far more reasonable, though it would take time. The thought of learning to control every facet of my body was daunting, but I couldn't shake the feeling that it was the only way forward. I had to train, and soon.
As if on cue, the familiar pop of the system echoed in my mind.
New Quest: Learn Your Body
Requirement: Learn and master three Rokushiki techniques.
Bonus Requirement: Master all of them.
Reward: Life Return.
Bonus Reward: Rokuogan.
Time Limit: 1 year.
Failure: 50% strength reduction.
I raised an eyebrow as I stared at the quest that had appeared before me. It was strange—it had only been a fleeting thought, a passing memory as I considered my next steps. And yet, here it was, clear as day. The quest system had always been unpredictable. Sometimes it would only activate during god-tier battles, after monumental achievements, and then other times, it would hit me with something as trivial as deciding to take a walk. It was erratic, to say the least.
But what truly concerned me wasn't just the quest's sudden appearance. It was the failure condition—a 50% reduction in strength. If my guess was right, the penalty would cut my strength in half at the time of the quest's failure. That could be catastrophic, especially if it happened during a crucial battle. The thought of having my power diminished in the middle of a fight sent a shiver down my spine.
I let out a long, heavy sigh, shaking off the worry. There was no point in dwelling on it now. I had time, and I'd just have to do my best to complete it. For now, though, my focus needed to shift. Obsessing over the worst-case scenario wasn't going to get me anywhere.
Turning my attention back to the task at hand, I looked out at the river. Water Release. It had been on my mind for a while now, and I'd decided to focus on it. I wasn't going to let nagging doubts distract me. Slowly, I began to gather chakra, weaving it into the familiar shape of the Water Dragon Bullet.
I had attempted this move countless times before, but it still felt like something was missing. The water swirled around me, rippling as if it were teasing me, refusing to form the shape I needed. I gritted my teeth and forced more chakra into the technique, trying once again. This time, however, something clicked—not in the physical sense, but in a deeper, almost instinctual way. The water dragon formed, though it wasn't perfect. Still, it was progress.
Hours passed. I kept at it, refining and reshaping the technique over and over. But after four straight hours, a realization dawned on me. The Water Dragon wasn't just a shape I had to force out; it was a living, breathing entity made from the essence of water itself.
Sharks.
A new idea sparked in my mind—what if I could take this same principle but mold it into something else? Something... more suited to me.
I switched gears, shifting my chakra focus to the Water Shark Bullet. I had seen it used before in battle, and I figured it couldn't be that different from the Water Dragon Bullet, right?
But no matter how hard I tried, I couldn't quite make the transformation happen. The water swirled in front of me, but it wasn't quite a shark. It wasn't a dragon either. It was something in between—a blurred version of what I was trying to create. Still, there was something satisfying about it.
The insight came slowly but steadily. Each failed attempt brought with it a deeper understanding of how to control the water, how the shape of the shark was tied to the kind of shark I envisioned. And the more I thought about it, the more I realized something curious—everyone imagined the same shark when they tried it.
The Great White.
It made sense. The Great White was known for its power and dominance, and it was the first thing that came to most people's minds when they thought of a shark. But why did that matter?
I stopped for a moment and checked my skills. As my gaze lingered on the various abilities listed, I slapped my forehead. I had completely forgotten about my reincarnation ability. It was the one thing I could always rely on to accelerate my growth—why had I neglected it?
That realization put things into perspective. Since this ability worked on all the skills I knew, my Sharingan would automatically evolve to three tomoe and even the Mangekyō over time. Given how extensively I had studied the Sharingan in my previous life, the process should accelerate significantly. Simply using it—whether in battle or not—would further enhance its growth. The only obstacle would have been the Eternal Mangekyō Sharingan, which typically required another Sharingan to merge with. However, with my father's eyes, that wouldn't be an issue.
Another thought struck me: I only needed to perform a jutsu once to initiate the learning process. Activating my Sharingan, I carefully observed the movement of my chakra as I formed the signature hand sign for the Shadow Clone Jutsu. I visualized my chakra splitting, creating another version of myself. I waited a moment—nothing happened. But then, a sliver of knowledge surfaced in my mind, confirming my suspicion: as long as I knew the name of a jutsu and attempted it once—regardless of success—the process began.
With that in mind, I returned to mastering the Water Dragon Jutsu. By this point, I had already reduced the number of hand signs from forty to twenty. Not only that, but I had also managed to spawn an additional head on the water dragon, slightly increasing its power. However, doing so added five extra hand signs to the sequence.
(Timeskip - Three Days Later)
Jinx reached the end of the island, his eyes widening in shock. He had assumed he was still in the Land of Fire, but this—this was something else entirely. The vast ocean stretched before him, the salty air tingling against his skin. He had no idea how far he had traveled or how he had ended up here.
As he stood at the shoreline, lost in thought, the sound of splashing water caught his attention. A small fishing boat drifted along the coast, and a lone fisherman sat inside, lazily rowing along the waves. Seeing an opportunity, Jinx quickly flagged him down.
The fisherman narrowed his eyes, pulling his boat in closer. "What are you doin' all the way out here, kid?"
Jinx hesitated for a moment before asking, "Where exactly is 'here'?"
The fisherman gave him a strange look but eventually answered. "You're near the Land of Whirlpools. Not much left of it now, though. Just ruins and bad omens."
Jinx processed this information carefully. After a moment, he made up his mind. "Can you take me there?"
The fisherman's expression hardened, and he immediately shook his head. "No way. That place is cursed. I ain't gettin' involved in whatever you're after."
Jinx sighed, then reached into his pouch, pulling out a small sack of ryo. He tossed it lightly in his palm, letting the coins clink together. "How about now?"
The fisherman's resolve wavered. He eyed the money for a long moment before letting out a reluctant sigh. "Tch... fine. But don't blame me if somethin' bad happens."
Jinx nodded, stepping into the boat as it rocked against the waves. As the fisherman rowed toward the ruins of Uzushiogakure, Jinx remained silent, his mind already planning what lay ahead.
The salty ocean breeze carried the scent of brine and decay as the small fishing boat rocked gently on the waves. His eyes remained fixed on the distant shore, where the ruins of Uzushiogakure lay waiting—a graveyard of forgotten power.
Jinx walked through the overgrown ruins, the remnants of the once-proud Uzushiogakure whispering faint memories of a time long past. The ocean breeze stirred the air, thick with the scent of decay and salt. His eyes shifted from the decaying structures to the building ahead, an old archive that, despite the burn mark across half of its structure, seemed unusually well-preserved compared to the surrounding ruins. His two tomoe Sharingan flickered as he focused on the subtle distortion in the air. A barrier, faint but present, was shielding the building from plain view. Over time, however, the barrier had weakened, making it just vulnerable enough for someone with his perceptive eye to break through.
With a decisive glance, Jinx focused chakra into his eyes, and the Sharingan enhanced his sight further. He could see the faint cracks running through the barrier like spiderwebs. He extended his hand, channeling a surge of chakra into his palm, and with a sharp exhale, he formed a precise burst of energy that shattered the weakened barrier.
The doorway creaked as Jinx stepped inside. Dust filled the air, and his steps echoed in the cavernous space. Rows of shelves filled with old scrolls lined the walls, their spines worn with age. As Jinx carefully scanned the shelves, his eyes quickly found several scrolls that stood out: the signature seals on them were unlike anything he had seen before.
Wind Release:
Great Gale Tempest (B-rank): A powerful wind technique that creates a ferocious, tornado-like windstorm capable of obliterating anything in its path. The user manipulates the surrounding air, summoning an intense gust that sweeps across a wide area, slicing through enemies and structures alike. This jutsu is ideal for crowd control or dispersing large-scale attacks, making it versatile for both offense and defense.
Cyclone of the Twin Winds (A-rank): A high-level wind jutsu that forms two spiraling cyclones that converge on a single target. This jutsu has an increased range compared to other wind techniques and can trap enemies within its rotating vortex. The twin cyclones can shred through defenses and drag targets toward the center, crushing them under immense pressure. A devastating jutsu best used when precise control is required.
Fire Release:
Great Fire Annihilation (B-rank): A signature technique of Madara, this jutsu conjures an enormous wave of fire that engulfs the target area. It's an advanced fireball jutsu that can incinerate large areas, wiping out everything in its path with sheer heat. The fire is difficult to control once unleashed, but its overwhelming power makes it a fearsome weapon.
Great Fire Destroyer (B-rank): Similar to the Great Fire Annihilation, this jutsu involves creating an intensely hot stream of flames that spirals around the user's body, shooting in concentrated streams at enemies. The fire can be directed with precision, making it useful in more focused attacks. This technique is also known for its ability to burn through solid stone and metal.
Water Release:
Tidal Wave Eruption (A-rank): A devastating water-based attack that summons an enormous wave capable of flooding vast areas. The user manipulates the water to surge forward at terrifying speed, overwhelming opponents with sheer volume. It's perfect for sweeping away opponents or flooding a battlefield, creating instant chaos.
Frostfall Torrent (A-rank): This water-based technique combines freezing temperatures with a torrent of water. The user releases a stream of water that instantly freezes any surface it touches, effectively turning the environment into a frozen battlefield. It's especially deadly when used in conjunction with ice-based attacks.
Flying Thunder God (Prototype, A-rank):
An incomplete version of the legendary Flying Thunder God technique, this jutsu allows the user to teleport to any marked location, but only if they have pre-placed a seal at that location. However, unlike the perfected version, this prototype requires greater concentration and is less stable, occasionally causing the user to appear slightly off from their intended destination. The jutsu was still in its early stages, but its potential was limitless once fully realized.
Yuki Clan Sealing Technique (A-rank):
Frostbound Seal: A potent sealing technique developed by the Yuki Clan, it allows the user to seal away an opponent's chakra temporarily by freezing their chakra flow. Once the seal is applied, the target's chakra is sealed within an ice-like prison that hinders their ability to summon chakra or use jutsu. The technique is effective in long battles, especially against powerful foes who rely heavily on chakra.
Flame Release:
Kagutsuchi's Wrath (S-rank): Stolen from Madara's grandfather, Kagutsuchi, this forbidden technique condenses a vast amount of fire chakra into the user's weapon, typically a sword. Once activated, the user channels the fire chakra into the blade, creating a firestorm that can be unleashed in a controlled wave. The user can direct the flames with extreme precision, adjusting the size and intensity. The flames created are nearly impossible to extinguish and can consume entire fields in moments. However, the technique requires the Sharingan, and mastering it requires peak Three Tomoe Sharingan. The fire can burn through nearly anything, and the sword itself becomes a conduit for the flames, making it as much a weapon as a deadly elemental force.
Jinx's eyes flicked from scroll to scroll as he absorbed the intricate details of each technique. The weight of their potential was clear, and his mind raced with possibilities. With his Sharingan, his ability to adapt and learn would only speed up the process. He could already imagine the destructive power of the Kagutsuchi's Wrath, and his heart quickened. It wasn't just the techniques that fascinated him but the rich history of Uzushiogakure's hidden knowledge. There was much more to discover, but for now, Jinx carefully rolled up the scrolls, knowing they would be a vital asset in the future.
The ruins around him seemed quieter now, as if acknowledging his discovery. He couldn't help but wonder what other secrets the land of whirlpools still held—secrets that could tip the balance of power in the world. But for now, it was time to leave the archive behind and continue his journey.
Jinx's eyes narrowed as he spotted the hidden scrolls beneath the skeleton, the red strands of hair near its head identifying the remains as belonging to an Uzumaki. It was strange, almost as if the body had been placed there to protect these final secrets. Without hesitation, Jinx gently lifted the scrolls, unrolling the first one as the faint scent of aged paper filled the air.
Dead Demon Consuming Seal (Shiki Fūjin)
Jinx's heart skipped a beat. The Dead Demon Consuming Seal was a forbidden technique—one that could call forth the Shinigami itself to seal a soul. It was used in extreme situations, typically as a last resort, to seal away powerful beings by sacrificing the user's own life in the process. The fact that an Uzumaki had recorded this technique was astounding—such a powerful sealing jutsu was usually kept hidden away from the world. Jinx felt a rush of curiosity and awe; the potential of wielding this kind of power, while dangerous, was undeniable. Fūinjutsu Mastery Guide
The second scroll was a comprehensive guide to Fūinjutsu, an advanced and intricate art of sealing techniques. It spanned from the most basic seals to those used by the greatest masters, offering detailed instructions on how to create and modify seals, how to store objects, chakra, and even beings within them. Jinx's eyes gleamed as he skimmed through the guide. This kind of knowledge was rare and invaluable, and mastering it could grant him control over an entire dimension of power. He imagined the possibilities—he could trap enemies, store chakra for later use, or even seal away entire jutsus or abilities. Ryūchi Cave Location
The third scroll wasn't a jutsu or guide, but a set of coordinates and information. Ryūchi Cave, home to the Snake Sage, was a place Jinx remembered from his past life, though back then he had only read about it. Now, with the knowledge of sage modes and their paths, he could see the connection. Ryūchi Cave was likely situated in the Land of Earth, judging by the terrain of snakes and the strong association with earth-based chakra. The idea of Snake Sage Mode intrigued him—it was a powerful and dangerous path, one that focused on mastery of the earth and serpentine energy. Perhaps it was something he could explore in the future, though it would require deep understanding of the path and great patience.
His mind then drifted to the tailed beast Saiken. He had only trained briefly with its chakra, but it was enough to realize that Saiken's chakra was uniquely different from other chakra sources. After just a short time with it, he had managed to unlock the first tail beast cloak, a remarkable feat considering the difficulty of harnessing such power. He knew he had much more to learn, and if he could master more of Saiken's chakra, his power would grow exponentially. However, mastering the chakra would take time and dedication—something that was worth the effort.
With a satisfied nod, Jinx stored all three scrolls in his inventory. Their contents would be incredibly useful in the future, and he didn't want to risk losing them in the ruins of Uzushiogakure. The weight of the knowledge they contained was a powerful burden, but one he was ready to carry.
As he left the archive, he took a final look at the ruins surrounding him. This place had held so many secrets, but now it was time to move on. The path ahead was uncertain, but with these new tools at his disposal, Jinx felt more prepared than ever to face whatever challenges lay in wait. The ruins would remain as a monument to the past, but he had his sights set on the future.
Now, with his mind focused on the next steps, Jinx made his way out of the archive, leaving the ancient secrets behind as he continued his journey.
Jinx's senses sharpened as the distant crack of a twig shattered the silence. His instincts kicked in immediately—his Sharingan flared to life, the two tomoe spinning rapidly in his eyes. He didn't waste a moment. His chakra surged as he completed the hand signs for the Great Fireball Jutsu, his fingers moving with precision as he summoned the fiery technique. The air around him seemed to bend with heat as the enormous fireball erupted from his mouth, shooting straight toward the source of the noise in the forest clearing.
The fireball tore through the air, crashing into the clearing with a deafening explosion. Trees were vaporized, rocks shattered, and the very earth seemed to tremble under the force of the blast. The smoke and heat from the fireball swirled, enveloping the area in a fiery storm. For a moment, all was still.
But then, as the smoke cleared, Jinx's eyes narrowed. Six figures appeared from within the fog of the explosion—ninjas, dressed in the signature attire of the Hidden Mist Village. They were fast, materializing from within the remnants of the blast with lethal precision. Their presence was unmistakable, and Jinx could already sense the killing intent radiating off them.
"That's quite a show," one of the ninjas spoke, his voice cold and mocking. His hands rested casually on the hilt of his sword, his eyes hidden behind the misty veil of his surroundings. "But you've just signed your own death warrant."
Jinx assessed the situation quickly, his mind already calculating his next move. The Mist ninjas were known for their stealth and ruthlessness, and it was likely that they had been tracking him for some time. His Sharingan allowed him to see through their movements, but that didn't mean they would be easy opponents. He needed to be careful—not only of their strength but also of any traps or hidden weapons they might have prepared.
A second ninja, this one with a scythe slung over his back, smirked as he twirled the weapon in his hands. "Thought you could just wander around these parts without consequences, huh? The Hidden Mist doesn't take kindly to trespassers."
Jinx's eyes flashed. He had no interest in banter; he needed to end this quickly before they could organize. He didn't have time to waste—he had already revealed his firepower, and if these ninjas were worth their salt, they'd be coming at him hard.
With a deep breath, he focused his chakra, shifting into a more defensive stance while keeping his Sharingan active. These ninjas would test him, but Jinx had no intention of letting them get the upper hand.
"Bring it on," he muttered under his breath, preparing himself for whatever would come next.
The ninjas spread out, clearly preparing to overwhelm him with numbers and speed. The one with the sword stepped forward first, his blade gleaming in the dim light. The other ninjas followed suit, positioning themselves in a formation that would force Jinx into a corner if he wasn't careful.
Jinx's mind raced as he adjusted his stance, ready for the first strike. The battle had begun.
