Chereads / A Tale of Love Between Human and Fox Spirit / Chapter 5 - Making Illogical Pairings

Chapter 5 - Making Illogical Pairings

I'm completely paralyzed, yet the person on top of me is moving relentlessly, their clothing gradually slipping away, their actions becoming increasingly bold. Their skin isn't as tender and smooth as the two females before, but it retains the smooth, soft texture unique to young girls, tight and elastic.

How do I distinguish between the previous two, which were monsters, and this one, who is human? The previous two were merely teasing and tempting me, showing little reaction of their own, feeling artificial. This time, the person in my arms seems starved for affection, eager, passionate, and longing, with every movement stemming from instinct, every tremor and entanglement feeling genuine. The contrast is stark, and perhaps there's an intuitive sense as well?

Knowing this is a real person, fear doesn't factor in, and I can't envision them as a skeleton or pus. This encounter is perilous. I quickly succumb to a rage, uncontrollable. If I could move, I might lose my mind and act impulsively.

Another reason for my lack of control is the heightened sensitivity after the romantic encounters of the past two nights. I'm like a volcano on the brink of eruption, extremely susceptible.

At the moment of entanglement, I could tell that this person was very young. Not only was her skin smooth and slender, but she also had a pair of small hills on her chest that were not high above sea level, sturdy and swollen, with a small hard lump at the top. It was a kind of vitality that only people in their prime of life had before fully blooming.

The girl was already impatient and grabbed my iron pestle, leaning up, but like the monster from the previous night, she tried several times but couldn't get in. On the one hand, she has no experience and doesn't know what angle is most suitable. The stream path that has never been opened up is particularly narrow, and the door is tightly closed. But my brother is very awesome, very strong and burly, and it is not easy to do without the cooperation of two people at the same time.

At that time, I was impatient and gradually lost my rationality, but there was still a little worry and doubt in my heart that I couldn't do this. Why can't we do it? Why resist? The real reason why I felt scared the first two times was that there were no young women nearby, but this time it seems that there are young women around me. Is that person Chen Xing?

A thunderbolt sounded in my mind, and I suddenly became much clearer. This person must be Chen Xing, she is still a student. How could I do such a thing with her? At this moment, Chen Xing bent down again, his hot and soft lips covering my mouth, wildly sucking, and his nimble little tongue entering my mouth and stirring wildly.

If I can't stop Chen Xing, I will completely lose my sanity and harm innocent girls! In a state of panic, I gritted my teeth with all my might. The action of gritting my teeth may be easier than physical action and foot movement. With strong willpower, my mouth moved and I bit Chen Xing's tongue.

"Ahh!" Chen Xing let out a loud scream, swiftly lifting her head. Her previously half-closed, dazed eyes abruptly opened wide as she covered her mouth, uttering incoherent sounds: "What's wrong with me, I, you… ah." The intensity of her scream was so powerful it seemed to cut through the sky and shatter stones, its echo lingering for what felt like days. In that instant, I regained my ability to move, but Chen Xing's piercing scream left me stunned. What could I do? I wanted to comfort her but didn't know how to begin, and I wanted to explain but had no idea where to start. In my confusion, I noticed my shorts had been pulled down to my knees, and I quickly pulled them up.

Old Chen, hearing the first scream from the neighboring room, immediately woke up, got out of bed, and rushed out. By the time the second scream sounded, he was already at my door, kicking it open and turning on the light. He had expected to confront some monster, ready for a fight, but instead, he saw his naked daughter, screaming and frantically waving her arms as if to keep others at bay. I stood by the bed, only in my shorts, looking completely lost, with our clothes strewn about the floor.

Old Chen was taken aback. After collecting himself, he quickly closed his eyes and turned away. Aunt Hua, clutching a pillow and mustering her courage, ran over, her mouth agape and eyes nearly popping out in shock.

Mom!" Chen Xing, upon seeing her mother, finally snapped out of her panic, quickly grabbing a piece of clothing to cover herself, and rushing out of the room towards the third floor, with Aunt Hua swiftly following behind.

Old Chen shouted furiously and lunged at me, swinging his fist: "You bastard, I'll kill you!" I instinctively dodged his punch and raised my right hand to block the slap he aimed at me, yelling: "Don't hit me, she's possessed!" Old Chen paused for a moment, recalling the strange events I mentioned the day before and realizing something was off, but he still grabbed my throat and pushed me against the wall, punching me in the stomach. His eyes were red with anger as he shouted: "What did you do to her?"

The pain made me curl up, unable to speak with my throat being throttled. Just then, Chen Jiqiang appeared at the door, still sleepy-eyed: "Dad, what's going on? Are you guys fighting?" Old Chen shouted: "Shut up, go back to your room right now, or I'll kill you!" Chen Jiqiang, confused and frightened, quickly ran away. Feeling Old Chen's grip loosen slightly, I hurriedly said: "I didn't do anything, she came to my room."

Old Chen's raised fist stopped in mid-air, stiffening. This was my bedroom; his daughter had run into my room, not the other way around. Essentially, I was the victim, so what reason did he have to hit me?

A loud "thud" resonated as Old Chen punched the wall with all his might, his voice lowered to a menacing growl: "You, did you…?" I shook my head vehemently: "I didn't lay a hand on her. I was completely paralyzed. She was the one who, under some spell, dashed into my room and wouldn't stop touching me. It truly wasn't my doing." Old Chen's eyes fell to my shorts, and he seemed somewhat relieved. The sound of Chen's father's voice echoed from downstairs: "What's all the ruckus about?" "Nothing much, just dealing with some pests!" Old Chen called back, swiftly gathering the scattered clothes. His gaze, a mix of emotions, rested on me for a moment before he let out a heavy sigh and headed upstairs to the third floor.

My heart was pounding wildly. It's a good thing Old Chen isn't too impulsive, or else he might have killed or crippled me without listening to my explanation, and that would have been a great injustice. Why did that demon want to harm me and Chen Xing? I speculated that there are three possibilities: First, the demon didn't succeed last night, so tonight it controlled a real human girl to try again, hiding to observe and learn; Second, my will is strong, but if I have relations with someone I shouldn't, my last line of psychological defense will collapse, and I won't be able to resist the demon's temptations in the future; Third, Old Chen invited monks to exorcise the demon and posted a lot of "Invisible Divine Talismans," which may have angered the demon, so it took revenge on Chen Xing.

Certainly, it's also possible that the demon was possessing Chen Xing at the time, achieving its goal in another way. In summary, the thoughts of demons may not be the same as humans, and it's difficult to guess from a human perspective.

I was on pins and needles. It took nearly two hours before Old Chen and his wife came downstairs, entered the room, and shut the door behind them. Old Chen, with a stern face, said: "This incident wasn't your fault."

I nodded vigorously, almost moved to tears. Understanding is priceless! But Old Chen hadn't finished his sentence yet. His follow-up was: "But you have a responsibility. What are you going to do about it?"

Old Chen angrily said, "You and Chen Xing are like this, don't you think you should take responsibility?"

I stood there, stunned. Although Chen Xing and I had not yet crossed the final barrier, we had seen each other's true selves, and even our most intimate places had touched each other. How could a young girl like her not care about such a thing? Although there was no "substantial" physical harm, the mental and psychological damage was irreparable. If this matter were to spread, she wouldn't be able to show her face in public anymore.

I tentatively asked, "What do you mean?"

Old Chen said firmly, "When she graduates from high school next year, you two will get engaged, and you can discuss the wedding date yourselves."

"This…" I was at a loss for words. I had known Chen Xing for less than a day, and we had spoken less than ten sentences. Was I supposed to become a lifelong partner? Even in ancient arranged marriages, it wasn't done like this!

Mrs. Hua said irritably, "What do you mean, you disagree? If it weren't for this incident, I wouldn't agree either. Which part of our family's Xing Xing is not worthy of you? Don't think that being a teacher is something great, she will be a college student in the future!"

Old Chen glared at his wife and said, "Shut up, no one asked you to speak."

Mrs. Hua, who usually wouldn't dare to go against her husband, erupted like a volcano: "If you hadn't brought him home to spend the night, this wouldn't have happened. Are you blaming me?"

"What do you know, you woman? Go back to your room!" Old Chen shouted in anger. Seeing that he was truly enraged, Mrs. Hua dared not argue back and left with resentment.

Old Chen fixed his gaze on me: "There's no other option. If you don't marry Chen Xing, I won't let this go!"

Of course, I disagreed with this absurd marriage proposal, but I had no excuse to refuse. My family was poor, and we didn't have money to offer as compensation to the Chens. Moreover, the Chens didn't want monetary compensation. Apart from a marriage alliance, there really was no better solution.

"I need to discuss this with my family first, and I also need to talk to Chen Xing," I said helplessly, resorting to a delaying tactic first, and then quickly changed the subject, "Secretary Chen, the talismans you posted didn't work. Instead, they angered it."

Old Chen's face immediately turned ashen, pacing restlessly back and forth. Several minutes passed before he let out a "hmph" and retreated to his own room. Clearly, he was genuinely angry and determined to eliminate the demon at all costs, but he couldn't speak of his plans first, lest the demon become cautious.

It was the latter half of the night, very quiet, with the muffled sounds of Old Chen and his wife arguing in the next room. I walked over to the window, tilting my ear to listen. Sure enough, the couple was quarreling. Mrs. Hua said, "It's all your fault, I told you some things shouldn't be done."

Old Chen: "Nonsense! I'll do whatever I want. You stupid woman, don't give me any more lip!"

Mrs. Hua: "Waa, you can do as you please, but I can't say anything? I've known for a long time that you have a lover on the side. There are at least seven women in the village who are entangled with you. You've played with other women, and now the karma has come to our daughter."

A loud "slap" resounded, probably Old Chen slapping Mrs. Hua across the face. Then, they tussled together, ending with Mrs. Hua cursing a few words before running to the third floor to sleep with her daughter.

I cursed under my breath, not knowing about any karma affecting the Chens, but I was well aware of the trouble I was in now. Earlier, Old Chen and his wife had discussed for a long time upstairs, and it seemed that Chen Xing had agreed to the marriage. Persuading them to change their minds would definitely not be easy.

Just as dawn was breaking, Old Chen stormed off to the school in a rage to confront the monks. To his surprise, as soon as he entered the classroom, he was stunned to see one monk lying stiff on the ground, while the other five monks were trembling, their faces devoid of color.
