Chapter 92 - Chapter 92

[Nine Unique Blades]

Type: Skill Book.

Quality: Golden Legendary.

Level: 15.

Description: Grants the wielder mastery over a unique blade technique.

Requirement: Practitioner Class.

"A Level 15 Golden Legendary skill book! Amazing!"

Lucian's eyes lit up, though he quickly noticed the restriction. Unfortunately, his territory didn't currently have the Practitioner class.

But now that he had broken through to Level 11, acquiring a class transfer certificate would be straightforward.

The Practitioner class was fairly common across the myriad worlds, and obtaining a transfer certificate wouldn't be difficult.

"When I have time, I'll make sure to get one."

He paused, thinking for a moment.

"Lin Daiyu's role as a Practitioner would look pretty good."

"Should I also pick a rare class for myself? Hmm, I'm not too familiar with the rarer professions."

Lucian furrowed his brow slightly.

His prior understanding of professions was limited to basic knowledge, general trivia, and stories he'd come across. His memory wasn't sharp enough to recall if the Practitioner class was classified as rare or not.

"I can always check tomorrow."

Meanwhile, seeing Lucian lost in thought, Jia Yingchun quickly dressed herself. Her long hair cascaded over her shoulders, and a faint smile graced her face as she stood nearby.

When Lucian snapped out of his daze, he noticed her tidying up her hair. Her gentle beauty seemed to have regained its former charm.

Lucian glanced at her and asked, "Yingchun, have you ever considered switching jobs?"

"Switching jobs?"

Jia Yingchun was taken aback but soon received related information.

After a brief moment of thought, she replied, "Yingchun doesn't have any particular preferences. As long as it's something the master likes, I'm happy to do it."

"You're not much of a fighter. Why not consider taking up a logistical profession?"

Lucian rubbed his chin as an idea took shape in his mind.

"Whether it's farming or cooking, as long as it pleases the master, Yingchun is more than willing," she replied softly, her obedient demeanor tugging at his heartstrings.

Her gentle tone and submissive nature almost made Lucian want to tease her further.

"Alright, next time we'll choose one together."

Reluctantly waving her away, Lucian then turned his attention to the two new buildings he had received as part of his settlement rewards: [Tavern] and [Barracks].

At Level 10, Lucian was now able to construct a third barracks.

However, relying solely on his golden finger to alter its nature was entirely random, making it impossible to predict whether he'd get something excellent or terrible.

It could end up being something as useless as armored wild boars—or as incredible as a Golden Legendary unit.

After some hesitation, Lucian decided to wait, holding out for the chance to obtain a Unit Quality Enhancement Token instead.

Unlike other lords, Lucian's golden finger allowed him to gain specialized barracks without relying on the usual "Barracks Templates" found in the Void.

During his Rookie Trial, Lucian had accumulated a variety of Unit Tokens, including "Rouge Archers," "Elite Spearmen," "Mounted Archers," and "Taihu Pirates."

The Taihu Pirates were blue-grade units, while the others were green-grade. Naturally, none of them appealed to Lucian.

Lucian's attention turned to the [Tavern], a building designed for recruiting heroes.

Unlike the [Altar], the Tavern was far rarer, and the heroes it attracted often had names and identities.

Additionally, Taverns didn't summon heroes directly. Instead, heroes might occasionally visit, giving the lord the option to evaluate and recruit them.

This was quite different from the [Red Pavillion], which, thanks to Lucian's golden finger, currently boasted a 100% success rate for summoning Golden Legendary heroes.

"If I can upgrade the Altar to a Red Pavillion, what about the Tavern?"

Full of anticipation, Lucian placed the [Tavern] into his territory.

The building took the form of a quaint, antique-style establishment.

Decorated with three tables, a few antique items, and a simple wooden sign, it looked unassuming.

Lucian didn't spend much time inspecting it before immediately selecting the upgrade option.

In an instant, multicolored light engulfed the Tavern, transforming it into a grander structure—a beautiful, ancient-style restaurant.

[Mysterious Restaurant]

Type: Building.

Level: 1 (0/500).

Recruitable Heroes: None.

Current Heroes: None.

Unlocked Recipe: "Aged Rice Wine."

Unlockable Recipe: "Icy Fire Spirit Wine" (Unlocks at Level 10).

Stock: 10/10.

Description: The fragrance of fine wine attracts heroes from both heaven and earth, offering a vast selection for any discerning lord.

Lucian's eyes sparkled as he reviewed the building's attributes.

Taverns like this had the potential to attract heroes, and the core of their appeal was their wine.

At Level 1, the Mysterious Restaurant unlocked "Aged Rice Wine," with "Icy Fire Spirit Wine" becoming available at Level 10.

It seemed likely that another recipe would unlock at Level 20, though the specifics weren't yet visible.

Different wines attracted heroes of varying qualities:

Aged Rice Wine primarily attracted white-grade heroes, with a smaller chance of green or blue-grade ones.

Icy Fire Spirit Wine increased the likelihood of blue-grade heroes while slightly lowering the chances of white and green grades. Purple and gold grades were rare but possible.

"Not as good as the Red Pavillion, but still decent!"

Lucian sighed. The Tavern's attributes fell short of the Red House's extraordinary capabilities.

Most ordinary Altars and Taverns required considerable luck to produce anything noteworthy, and even green-grade heroes were considered a win for some lords.

Lucian quickly upgraded the Mysterious Restaurant to Level 10, unlocking Icy Fire Spirit Wine. For now, he decided to leave it at that, only returning when a hero appeared to decide whether they were worth recruiting.

He then glanced at his inventory, using all available items before turning his attention to upgrading his territory.

"Upgrade!"

Void Origin Stones Spent: 1500.

Territory Level: 10 → 11.

Territory Area: 6 km² → 7 km².

As the ground rumbled and the sky seemed to expand, new land was added to the territory's edges, significantly enlarging its area.

A series of notifications followed.

"Congratulations on reaching Level 11!"

"You can now upgrade building and unit levels."

"As you've reached Level 11, you've unlocked the Lord System privilege: [Heroic Power]!"

"Please name your territory. The name must follow the format 'Name + Suffix,' such as Sky City or Hundred Flowers Valley."

"Note: [Hero Skills] slots are currently empty. Please select a hero: Lin Daiyu / Qin Keqing / Jia Yingchun."
