[Rotten Swamp Raven]
Race: Swamp Behemoth / Void
Level: 15
Talents: ???
Bloodline: ???
As always, the boss's attributes were only partially visible.
A Level 15 boss was no joke. Even in normal circumstances, dealing with such a powerful entity would be a daunting challenge.
Moreover, during the Novice Trial, Void's rules were crystal clear—each day's monsters were stronger than the last.
The monsters from Day 14 had already tested their limits, and today's wave was undoubtedly even tougher.
Yet, despite its menacing aura, the terrifying giant raven had nearly plummeted to the ground after inhaling the toxic green gas spewing from the Fart Towers.
After flailing awkwardly in the air for a moment, it regained its balance and soared skyward once more.
Pffft—! Pffft—!
The humanoid statues that served as the Gas Trap Towers bent forward, releasing their noxious fumes with ruthless efficiency.
However, their awkward posture faced the Moon Palace disciples, while their grotesque sculpted faces stared directly at Lucian.
The strange, jubilant expressions carved into their faces made Lucian's head throb with secondhand embarrassment.
The Great Qin warriors maintained their grim expressions, fully focused on the battle.
The Moon Palace disciples, on the other hand, had to stifle their laughter, their faces turning red as they covered their mouths.
Even Lin Daiyu and Qin Keqing couldn't help but smile faintly, though they quickly composed themselves.
Lucian sighed in exasperation. "I'm so tired… I don't even want to explain anymore."
As if convincing himself, he muttered, "Functionality is more important than aesthetics."
Raising his head, he focused on the enemy.
The corrupted raven, cloaked in black flames, shook off the stench and let out a shrill cry as it swooped menacingly toward the territory.
The wind howled, stirring up clouds of dust.
Lucian raised his hand and gave the order.
"Fire!"
Instantly, the defensive towers unleashed their full arsenal—Fireball Cannons, Lightning Turrets, Machine Guns, and Repeating Crossbows fired in unison, flooding the sky with relentless firepower.
The raven didn't even attempt to dodge, charging headlong into the barrage.
Its rotting body sustained numerous small wounds as chunks of decayed flesh were blown apart by the relentless onslaught.
However, the damage seemed negligible. The boss didn't even flinch, showing no signs of pain or retreat.
BOOM!
In retaliation, the raven released waves of black flames that surged toward the stone walls.
At that moment, a brilliant golden light erupted.
A massive firebird, summoned by the Flame Judgment Tower, soared into the sky, clashing violently with the corrupted raven.
Simultaneously, the Great Qin warriors fired volleys of bolts from their crossbows.
Swish! Swish! Swish!
Arrows rained down in a coordinated assault.
The Moon Palace disciples chanted in unison, their hands forming intricate seals. Dual-casting their Moonlight Wrath spells, they sent twin beams of silvery light streaking toward the airborne foe.
The combined attacks lit up the battlefield, turning the night as bright as day.
Boom! Boom! Boom! Zap! Hiss!
Explosions, lightning strikes, and shrill cries echoed endlessly.
When the smoke cleared, the enormous raven hovered unsteadily in the air, its decayed body riddled with scars.
Despite its battered appearance, it showed no signs of slowing down. Its grotesque form continued to radiate a horrifying aura of decay.
"It's the swamp bloodline," Lucian muttered, his mind racing.
He recalled what he had learned about swamp creatures—a category within the countless races that populated the infinite worlds.
Swamp-dwelling monsters were infamous for their resilience. Their unique biology made them highly resistant to conventional attacks, making them a nightmare to deal with.
Lucian turned to his two strongest heroes.
"Daiyu! Keqing! Let's take it down together!"
The two women nodded without hesitation, their expressions becoming even more serious.
Lin Daiyu unsheathed her blade and leaped into the air.
Qin Keqing, meanwhile, stepped forward and raised her Wind Moon Mirror, her voice ringing with authority:
"By the decree of the Six Ding Celestial Generals, descend!"
She brought her hands together, pointing toward the corrupted raven.
CRACK—BOOM!
A deafening explosion echoed through the heavens as a bolt of purple lightning materialized out of nowhere, striking the raven directly.
The crackling energy tore through its decaying flesh, forcing a screech of agony from the previously unflinching monster.
Purple lightning continued to descend in rapid succession:
CRACK! The second strike followed immediately.
CRACK! Then the third.
One after another, bolts of heavenly thunder rained down.
The sixth and final strike hit with devastating force, leaving the raven's rotting body riddled with gaping holes.
Though the lightning wasn't as powerful as divine tribulation lightning, it was far stronger than ordinary natural lightning.
By the end, the raven's anguished cries filled the air as it writhed in pain, its black flames flickering weakly.
Qin Keqing, despite her success, was visibly drained. Her face paled, but she remained steadfast, gripping her Wind Moon Mirror as she prepared for another round of combat.
Meanwhile, Lin Daiyu darted through the raven's fiery onslaught, her sword flashing as it sliced through waves of black flames.
With unmatched grace, she closed in on the faltering boss, ready to deliver the killing blow.
