Ragon froze, his heart racing as he heard the voice. He looked around, his eyes darting left and right, but the library was silent. He recognized the voice but couldn't quite place where he'd heard it before.
"Oh! I see you're eager to learn more about me," the voice spoke again, sending chills down his spine. Ragon's hands trembled as he slammed the book shut, fear flashing across his face.
Then it hit him—Napoleon. The voice belonged to him.
"There's nothing to fear. It's just a fragment of his consciousness," Ragon muttered, trying to calm himself as he shook his head.
Taking a deep breath, he forced himself to focus and reopened the book. Strangely, the voice didn't return, leaving only the sound of rustling pages.
