Helios smirked. "Go to the altar." He pointed toward a raised stone platform at the far end of the temple. "You'll find inscriptions there. Read them. Memorize them."
Ragon frowned but got to his feet. He walked toward the altar with wary steps, still feeling the lingering effects of the chant.
As he reached the ancient stone, he saw glowing golden texts carved into its surface. His eyes widened when he realized what they were.
"Scriptures?" he muttered.
Each inscription was a verse—holy passages meant for exorcisms and banishing dark entities. They weren't just random words; they carried power. He could feel it just by looking at them.
He turned to Helios, half-expecting another elaborate ritual or some difficult training. "You're telling me… that this is my lesson?"
Helios simply gave him a knowing look before turning away. "You wanted to learn divine magic. This is where it begins."
