Previously on Glassflower: Ursa and the Scarf Squad:

After leaving the City of Tsuno, Ursa was attacked by the forces of Tempestas Glacies. The battle stirred up the oceans, leading to the formation of a new gate and the deaths of many.

At the same time, one ship was able to escape, being intercepted by the Dreschers of Adlernest. They beat the information out of their prisoners and prepared to head to the Gate.

Back at said Gate, Ursa awakened and formed a begrudging alliance with Tempestas. It was short lived however, and the pair were separated By Taipan.

While Tempestas explored its Hollow Realm, Ursa attempted to escape. She faced off with and was overwhelmed by the newly Corrupted Core and its Corrupted Knights until….BOOM!

Now.

Dust filled the air. Black fell apart, the Core's fiery blast having gone right through the entire Gate. Ursa laid upon the ground, Pushing herself to her feet.

A light pierced the hole in the ceiling.

She saw it in the distance. It was the Great City of Rem, shining like a star in the sky. Like Rem before her, she reached for, but like the rest of the Knights of the Round Table, it was short lived.

The hole closed.

Ursa flipped her Scarf over her shoulder, a fire in her eyes. She looked up, towards the exit.

Chapter XV

Forces of Nature Part III

BOOM! The Core was hit by a blast of green, sending its attack off course.

A trio of airships bearing the symbol of the Dreschers. Each ship was highly industrial, with clean, jagged wires. Dr. E{chapter VII} stood at the helm, overlooking the battlefield and controlling the ship with her metal glove. On both sides were screens with yellow strings of energy.

["There's an active core in the Gate, repeat, active core," a voice called out through the yellow channels.

"We won't be able to capture Ursa dealing with a core, we should deal with it first!" a second voice called out.

"Negative," Dr. E called out without opening her mouth, but activating a device on the side of her head. "If we destroy the core now, it'll slow the formation of resources. We brought three ships for a reason,"

"My forces can distract the core for the time being," the first voice stated.

"Such a waste of resources!" the second voice exclaimed.

"No, she's right," Dr. E stated, her eyes narrowed. "Dr. F's soldiers will sacrifice themselves to the core. You, Dr. R, will have your troupes spread out and search for the Beast,"

"And your forces?" Dr. F questioned.

"We will remain on standby. Once the Beast is found, we will combine and pin her down," Dr. E explained.

"Heil Adlernest!" Dr. F announced.

"Heil the Mondgreif!" Dr. R added.

"TEAR THEM DOWN!" Dr. E finished.

Dr. E looked back at the inner part of the airship. The Drescher machines, Z38 and A54 included, were in sleep mode, awaiting to be dropped into battle.

Dr. E made a villainous smile, "Such nonsense. Positioned at the exit, Ursa will come and the Mondgreif shall make me,"

---

Ursa looked down from outside the centre. She saw the Drescher's plans taking effect, but more than that. She focused on the ship at the newly made exit to the Gate.

They were high up in the air, just outside and keeping the entrance there. It was perfect.

[If Ursa were to kill everyone onboard and take the ship…she could finally escape. Or she could crash, it's not like she knew how to work these ships. However, it's a better plan than swimming from the get go].

Ursa rushed up the black halls. She was safe as gold at the bottom of the ocean. All of the Corrupted Beasts she saw rushed past her, heading to protect the core.

It was too easy, so it couldn't last. A metal claw SMASHED into Ursa's head.

She was sent flying back. She felt the claws piercing skin and skull. Her right eye was destroyed and her neck was completely twisted.

Blood dripped down her face, onto her white scarf.

She stood her ground, her claw over her mending wound. A Drescher stood before her.

"Dr. R requires your surrender," the Drescher ordered, claws at the ready

Ursa's wound had healed, though her red eye was covered in red marks. She unsnapped her neck.

"No,"

Green. The Drescher rushed her. She grabbed its arms.

It tried to take hold of her, and she tried to wrip its arms off. They twisted around the other like two beasts wrestling in circles. Their feet scraped against the ground, making sparks fly.

The Drescher was heavy. Ursa smashed her head into its, but while her's cracked, its was unaffected.

The Drescher was green enhanced metal. As is to say, it was stronger.

Red. The Drescher immediately crushed her, but that wasn't the end. Not close.

She squeezed through its claws and climbed upon it. She JAMMED her nails into its glass eyes.

"Target lost. Calling for backup. Repeat, calling for backup. We can't let the others-,"

Green. Ursa repeatedly struck at the Drescher. It tried to strike her, but she easily ducked and dodged.

She rapidly clawed at its torso until it SHATTERED! A white fragment escaped from the inside.

Ursa's eyes widened. She created a Four Eyes on her face like before.

She heard metallic footsteps in the distance. They were coming.

She got on all fours, ready for her charge. She took a deep breath.

She used black jump ahead, giving herself a massive boost. The force sent her flying and shattered the ground where she once stood.

---

Light pulsed in the darkness. It could feel the battle above its head. It felt like its senses were greater than they had been in centuries.

---

A Drescher CLAWED THROUGH a Corrupted Knight's weak spot. A Yellow Knight stunned a Drescher, giving a moment for multiple Knights to strike at it.

The Dreschers were fast and strong. One clawed at multiple Green Knights at once, their swords being used as shields. Purple Knights suddenly appeared and carved out its joints, only taking a few casualties.

Each Drescher was worth a cluster I'm sure, and there were *many* coming their way.

---

This was the most opportune time. It peered its eye out of a hole in the Mould, lightning pulsating through its body.

---

The Core shot ANOTHER shot of black and red flames. It barely missed the airship thanks to its counter fire.

The Knights were keeping their distance, their blades ready to jab. The two sides were at a standoff.

They carefully clawed at each other like animals. The Dreschers were getting desperate, aggressively charging the Knights. They received more casualties and wounds, as the Knights defensively stabbed them. However, their efforts did show results in the Cluster.

Their ship crashed to the ground, filling the area with flames.

---

During the commotion, it clawed through the mould and escaped.

---

Ursa could feel the Dreschers behind her. Their claws getting closer and closer. She could hear their artificial voices, but didn't bother with their words.

A claw reached for her white scarf. It swayed back and forth, just evading the Drescher, but it could only last so long.

Orange. Ursa appeared behind all eleven of them.

Black. She STRUCK upwards at one of them, SCATTERING it into dust.

Its remnants were shot right at the group, damaging most of them, if not destroying a few.

They were unfazed, rushing down to attack her. Orange-.

Something was coming. It was heavy and loud. The Dreschers stopped as well.

There was a glowing light in the darkness. As it grew closer, they saw a great fog approaching them.

"URSAAAAAA!" a familiar voice howled!

"TEMPEST-?!" Ursa exclaimed, a relieved smile on her-.

A MASSIVE CLAW STRUCK AT HER! It was wild and vengeful.

The tunnel became engulfed in fog. Ursa teleported back up, looking on from a distance.

"COWARRRRRD!" It howled.

From that one, near strike, her cloth was already starting to freeze. The Dreschers engaged it in battle.

Their claws ripped into its body. Its body regrew, freezing around them.

It let out a storm of lightning, flailing around. The Dreschers kept clawing at it, only to be thrown and shocked.

One of them was FLUNG from the mist. It wasn't physically damaged, but yellow had overwhelmed its body.

Ursa looked on in horror. Tempestas howled and growled, a different beast than the one she met before.

Ursa escaped.

{inspired by Warwick Arcane season 2, but especially Fenrir of Norse Mythology}.

...…

Dr. E watched from the large window at the front of the ship. The Dreschers were awakened, waiting patiently behind her.

"Is this 'Ursa' really worth the trouble?" Z38 asked A54 in an impatient tone.

A54 placed a claw on its shoulder, "Not really, but the Mondgreif will love it,"

"I thought the Mondgreif only loved-,"

"Do. Not. Question the Mondgreif," it responded, raising a finger. "Sometimes we need to let the weak live to remind us that we're strong. That's all there is to it,"

"That's ridiculous-," it growned.

A54 moved its claw over the back of its neck, "what'd I say?"

"....understood," Z38 sighed.

"Good of you to finally grow some guts though," A54 complimented, patting it on the back.

In the background, Dr. R was calling for help. Her pleas were ignored.

"What is going on down-?" Dr. E questioned.

Ursa CRASHED through a glass window to the side, landing on all fours. The 13 of them all turned to her.

"One chance, help me escape, everyone here lives," she threatened, getting to her feet.

"Restrain the prisoner," Dr. E ordered, pointing at her.

Purple. A few of the Dreschers actually held back, Z38 included.

Green. Ursa SMASHED through the floor. She climbed across the bottom of the ship.

They felt the thumps of her claws as she rushed beneath them. The Dreschers only had seconds to pinpoint her location.

She clawed through the floor, pulling Z38 and one other through. Z38 grabbed onto her with its talons while the other fell to the darkness.

Ursa felt the sharp pain of the talons. They didn't pierce her cloth, but she still felt them poking into her flesh. Her eyes sharpened in turn.

She slammed Z38 through the floor, back into the ship. Multiple Drschers prepared to fire yellow from their claws, but one charged her.

Red. She grabbed it with cloth and threw it to the trash.

"GET HER!" Dr. E exclaimed, eyes widened.

6 Dreschers climbed out, rapidly climbing along the outer walls of the airship like her. But they lacked cloth.

Ursa swung around the entire ship like in Chapter III. She latched onto a Drescher's back and RIPPED IT OFF!

Dr. E grabbed onto the railing and began twisting the ship around. Eventually the side of the ship became its roof.

A54 struck Ursa, sending her flying. She reappeared, striking it multiple times with green. Z38 struck her, throwing her off.

She swung around the ship, creating enough momentum to quick switch to green KICK a Drescher off!

Z38 grabbed her leg and smashed her into the ground! She wrapped her cloth around it and twisted its arm off.

She got shot by a blast of yellow! More Dreschers climbed outside, trying to swarm her!

"Who's protecting Dr. E?!" A54 exclaimed.

Ursa appeared back inside the ship. There were two Dreschers with Dr. E. They all raised their claws.

Ursa clawed a GUST of wind right through Dr. E's head, killing her instantly. She attempted to weave through the Dreschers. She got struck TWICE, but still made it through.

She rolled her jelly-like body over and grabbed Dr. E's glove and SQUEEZED her claw into it! Dreschers broke through the window behind her!

She raised the glove and caused the ship to shift to a Y axis. Two Dreschers fell, while the 6 remaining held strong.

Purple. Ursa raised the glove confidently, the Dreschers frozen, except one.

"Do you even know how to use that to its best?" A54 asked.

There was an explosion in the distance. Ursa froze. Her confidence immediately shifted to rapid sweat.

"Fuck," she exclaimed.

They charged!

Ursa made the ship begin to roll. She dodged their attack, rolling forwards beneath them as they held themselves onto the ceiling.

The striking at her to no avail as she used the chaotic movements to her advantage. She leapt on one of them, striking out its eyes. Z38 kicked her down. She turned the floor to the ceiling and slammed it down. Another clawed at her. She flipped the ship around and kneed it out. A54 struck at her. She rolled.

The blind Drescher fell to its death. Four left.

Orange. As the ship rolled around, she rapidly appeared and reappeared from all angles, making quick strikes before vanishing. She paid particular attention to Z38's open side and A54's chest plating.

"FOR THE MONDGREIF!" A Drescher yelled, about to self-destruct.

"Wait-!" Z38 exclaimed.

Ursa CRASHED into it, sending it out before it could explode. She took a portion of the blast though.

She was sent back to the ground, her face and cloth covered in burns. She coughed up blood.

Talons lodged to her gloved arm, "Its over Ursa,"

The three remaining Dreschers surrounded her. A54 held her down and Z38 looked angry.

"CRUSH HER!" Z38 exclaimed, clawing over its missing arm. "She's a monster!"

"We're bringing her back to the Mondgreif, that is the mission Z38-," A54 argued.

Z38 clawed it out of the way and RUSHED to crash Ursa's skull in. The third remaining Drescher moved to stop it, redirecting its attack.

Ursa's eyes became daggers. She struck at Z38's open side and released its white fragment. She spun around and used her other claw to go through A54's weakened armour as well.

She made a Four Eyes on her face. She looked at the remaining Drescher. Her body was bruised, bloody, burned, broken, and beaten, but she stood tall.

The last Drescher shut itself down.

She smiled. She restabilised the ship's axis and looked out the window. The ship was flying through the clouds of water, just like back during the battle with Tempestas's fleet.

Her ship was making distance from the Gate, going wherever she pleased. She sat down and breathed a sigh of relief.

She even laughed.

["TEMPESTAS!?"]

From the hole in the Gate, Tempestas LEAPT.

The breeze very briefly revealed its body. It stood 381 Centimetres tall with MASSIVE claws the size of the hammer it used to wield. It bore a long face with massive CANINE TEETH!

IT WAS WOLF OF ICE!

It HOWLED, LETTING OUT A MASSIVE AMOUNT OF LIGHTNING! Ursa felt her heart stop.

(The bolt crashed into her ship).
