Max casually made his way out of his cube when he saw the ugly faces of the Blade Family. "What happened? Are you guys alright?" he asked, his tone laced with concern.
This caused the members of the Blade Family to grit their teeth in anger. They felt a rage so intense that they wished they could just beat up Max right here and now.
Only Allen and Elena remained calm.
Allen stared at Max, his eyes emotionless. "You are good, but you shouldn't have tortured Killian like that."
Max shrugged and glanced at Allen with a face full of hatred. "What about you? You think you can just come and kill me anytime you want? You think you can take me away from the guild I joined, just so I can join yours, only for you to kill me again?"
His expression turned dark. "At least what I did is way better than what you guys did."
Allen stared deeply at Max and said calmly, "Everything has its consequences."
