"Alice, show him to his quarters," Grandma Yu said before walking away.
Max watched her leave and turned to Alice. "Is she mad at me for some reason?"
"Hehe, she doesn't like arrogant people," Alice chuckled.
"Am I arrogant?" Max asked, but he suddenly shook his hands. "Forget it, I don't want to know the answer."
Alice smiled softly and said, "There's another reason why she's mad at you, but you'll have to figure that out on your own."
"Another reason?" Max wondered what he had done to offend the old woman.
"Let's go. I'll show you where you'll be living," Alice said, seeing him pondering.
Max shrugged and followed her.
