Synopsis
After suffering a lifetime of bad luck, Calvin has grown apathetic and unconcerned with the world. He is granted the ability to make his sinister dreams come true one fateful day, but the experience is far more bizarre and disorderly than he could have ever imagined. Thus, a heartless figure appears, a murderer without love who is cruising the boundless ocean, leaving a path of suffering and devastation in his wake.

Chapter 1 - Chapter 1, This Imagination is Too Real

At birth he was abandoned by his parents and found by others in a trash can in an alley and brought to an orphanage. Calvin was adopted at the age of 3 by a couple who could not have children, but after a year they died in a minor accident and Calvin was the only survivor, and he was returned by the police to the orphanage where he was adopted before. People said that he was the one who caused the couple's misfortune. because they saw that some people who had adopted Calvin before also experienced the same thing. until the orphanage staff were afraid to take care of Calvin when he was returned to the orphanage.

Calvin lived in the orphanage until he was 13 years old, every staff ignored him, and every child in the orphanage also followed what the nurses did. This caused Calvin to feel alone, even though he was only a child but Calvin had a pretty great thinking ability, he could see what was around him and analyze every event. There are some nurses who ignore him, some teach him things like speaking, writing and so on just because it's part of their job and without any love. There are also those who feel sorry for him but do nothing to help him. This made Calvin feel alone and closed himself off from the outside world and made himself quiet.

Calvin felt that this was just their plan, because no one adopted him because of the fear of curses and bad luck when around him, Calvin could only imagine a life with a family and feel happy with a parent who took care of him. but the older he got the more his hopes and imaginations seemed impossible for him, and the worst thing was that he could only imagine about it without feeling the reality. Calvin felt hurt and cursed every nurse in the orphanage. He also cursed the entity that brought him this fate.

Calvin: "Why is this happening, why is this my destiny, am I putting a bad curse on everyone in front of me?"

Huh, this is nonsense and stupid, Calvin thought. There can be no such thing as god in this world, even if there is, it means that he is very evil to give this fate to an innocent child. Calvin at the age of 14 already had a critical mind, people could give him the nickname of genius if they knew what Calvin was like. But he didn't care, didn't care one bit about what other people thought. From now on he lived only for himself, his soul and no one else.

To survive, Calvin looks for food in garbage cans in small alleys so that no one can see him. Because every time he did that, people would chase him because of his appearance as a street bum. No one cared about his young age. A bum is a bum no matter how old you are and bums are not liked by people because of the way they look, smell and act. but Calvin is just surviving.

Calvin: "ugh this is disgusting but it looks like it's still edible, agh what can I do I'm so hungry".

He ate the half-rotten bread he found in the trash can. Calvin only ate the edible parts and threw away the rotten ones to fill his stomach. At this moment Calvin fantasized about eating a delicious meal like the one he peeked at in the restaurant across the street, but he could only fantasize about it while eating the half-rotten bread he found.

For the next 2 years his fate remained unchanged, eating from trash bins, sleeping under bridges, ignored by people, and often cursed as a street bum by everyone who saw him. During this time he survived seeing the harshness of the world made him hate every human being. The characteristics of humans are very disgusting to him. He imagines how the world would be if there were no humans in it, would there be no such thing as suffering? This is a stupid thought he thinks, what does this world do without humans? maybe the world will be more beautiful and green without human greed, and animals can live in peace. He chuckled as he imagined a world without humans.

One day when he was looking for food in the garbage can, he found a book. he picked it up and looked at the book

Calvin: "Uuh what is this, looks interesting. One piece?"

Calvin found the One Piece comic created by Eiichiro Oda, Calvin was intrigued by the cover, a picture of a man with a straw hat and several other characters around him. A man with green hair and three spikes on his waist, a big man with robotic arms? and uhh a raccoon? oh a deer with a hat. Intrigued Calvin took the comic and some donuts he found in the trash to the place where he lived, a makeshift tent made from scraps of cloth and cardboard under a bridge where people rarely passed.

Calvin learned to read when he lived in an orphanage with a nurse who helped him, albeit insincerely, and he perfected his reading skills by looking at discarded newspapers and pictures with magazine-like writing. Calvin sits under the tent and opens the One Piece comic while eating the donut he found. At first he didn't understand what was being told, he just saw the cool pictures in the comic. A man with a straw hat who can flex his hands like rubber, a chef who can cook food that looks delicious. but there is one sentence that he feels inside him, something he has forgotten.

Calvin: "One's dreams will never cease and end huh?". Very funny.

Calvin apparently read the one piece comics when Luffy met someone named Teach, and the sentence uttered by Teach resonated with him. He always dreamed of having a family, dreamed of having parents, dreamed of having good food, dreamed of having a decent place to live, and ..... dreamed of how it felt to be able to make people who insulted him .... die by his hand.

Calvin didn't like seeing the happiness of someone who had insulted and hurt him. Why couldn't he have that happiness? Why must he always suffer? Hard to get food? Always falling asleep hungry? Always thinking about whether I'll be alive tomorrow? Because of hunger and thirst. this was unfair and he hated it.

He dreamed of having everything, but he could only dream without doing anything because of his situation. Calvin tried many things to improve his life, but fate said otherwise. One day he tried to become a shoeshine boy. But because of his appearance no one chose him, Calvin also offered himself to be a newspaper vendor, but he was kicked out. and after a long time of trying various things and only getting bad treatment he didn't care anymore.

After Calvin finished reading the One Piece comics he found, he wanted to read more. He wanted to read from the beginning of this story. He returned to the area where he found this book and it turned out that the trash area he was looking for food was behind the bookstore.

Calvin peeked through the content window of the bookstore, he was looking for One Piece books inside the bookstore.

Calvin: "ah I found it"

He saw a bookshelf with many books lined up with Luffy's picture on the cover and knew that it was the area that sold One Piece comics. But Calvin was at a loss as to what he could do to get the comic. Will he have to steal it? Well, it's too much trouble and he doesn't want to face any troublesome problems. (Shikamaru Sneezes).

Calvin quietly walked into the bookstore and didn't see who was inside. He quietly moved towards the shelf where the One Piece comics were. When Calvin arrived he was amazed to see many one piece comics with different covers. he searched carefully for the beginning of One Piece, and he found it on the far shelf.

Calvin: "Ah here it is, One Piece comic volume 1"

Calvin opened the comic and began to silently read, his curiosity was very high and he felt he could do anything to be able to read it. Calvin began to feel interested in the One Piece story until he forgot where he was. When he was almost finished reading, he suddenly heard a voice behind him.

Someone: "Ehem, hello son, are you going to buy the comic?"

Calvin was startled and dropped the comic while facing the voice. He saw an old man with a hat and flannel shirt behind him

Calvin: "Ehh uhm, I'm sorry I'm leaving now"

Calvin panicked at being caught and remembered he was always kicked out of every store he visited, this had become a habit for him. As Calvin started to walk out, the old man asked him

Old Man: "Did you like what you read, son?"

Calvin paused, confused, this wasn't like what often happened to him, usually he was always cursed at and hit when doing things or entering stores, so he felt confused

Calvin: "umm, yes ..... I like it" Calvin answered the old man

The old man smiled and said why not buy the comics?

Calvin: " err .... I don't have the money to buy it"

Calvin felt confused, this was the first time someone smiled at him and was kind to him. The old man laughed and told Calvin to come over to him. and Calvin slowly walked towards the old man. Be careful and prepared to escape if something bad happens.

The old man picked up some one piece comics from volume 1 and later. He gave the comics to Calvin

Old man: "Then, you can borrow these comics and read them, but don't forget to return them" It turned out that the old man was the owner of the bookstore.

Calvin was shocked and confused by the old man's sentence, and he asked

Calvin:" Err are you sure sir? Can I borrow this comic?"

Old Man: "Hahah... You know, I'm also actually a fan of One Piece and I won't stop anyone from reading it for whatever reason. Money? I don't care. I just want others to be able to enjoy the story of One Piece that has been forgotten by many people." The old man replied

That's right, the earth is now in 2050 and the One Piece comic was finished 20 years ago and many have forgotten about it. (Note : You See What i did there heheheh)

Calvin was surprised, the comic he felt interested in turned out to be an old comic that had been finished, but he was happy that he could read the whole story without waiting when the next comic arrived. 20 years ago means 4 years before his birth this comic was finished, he was amazed.

The old man said when he had finished reading a few volumes Calvin could return them and borrow the next few volumes. This made Calvin happy, this was the first time he was treated well by others and thanked the old man and promised to return it.

The old man smiled as he saw Calvin walking out of the store carrying several One Piece comics.

Old Man: "Oda Sensei, I will not let your creation fade with time. I have found a young man who is interested in joining the adventure you created." The old man smiled.
