Man subtly reached into his belt and activated a small, inconspicuous device. It emitted a faint hum, creating a barrier that ensured no sound would escape the room. Elara focused on her task and didn't notice.
" We must find how the king's body still has poison. His Majesty's condition is dire."Woman kneeling by the king's side, preparing for treatment.
"Yes, let's hope our efforts will be enough," Lan said nodding, sitting down with tools by his side.
They worked in silence for a few moments, Elara mixing some liquid and applying them to the king while Lan seemed to assist. However, his eyes kept darting towards the door, ensuring that no one was going to come.
"It seems our efforts are not in vain. His Majesty's condition is stabilizing."Lan said after a while, noticing a slight improvement in the king
"Indeed. We must continue with the treatment. This should help ease his breathing."Elara said smiling faintly
"Elara, I must confess something," Lan said smiling menacingly, then speaking softly.
"What is it, Lan?" looking up, concerned Elara said
"I'm truly sorry for what I'm about to do." Lan stepped closer, his voice almost a whisper
"What do you mean?" confused Elara asked
"Forgive me, Elara, but this is necessary," Lan said his eyes glowing with a sudden intensity, grabbing Elara by the shoulders and shoving her forcefully into the corner of the room.
"Lan, what are you doing?!"Elara said gasping, struggling to rise
Lan's body began to radiate a dark aura, his eyes glowing a sinister red. His usually calm demeanor into a twisted one.
Ben was able to see the sudden changes and asked the system about it

"I can't allow him to recover. The plan of the "O" Great will not be stopped " Lan approached the king with a menacing look.
"No! Lan, stop! Think about what you're doing!"Elara said desperately
"This is for everyone's freedom." ignoring her pleas, raising a hand over the king, shadows swirling around his fingers
"Garrick, please! There's another way!" Elara said mustering her strength, trying to crawl towards them
"There is no other way." pausing briefly, then steeling himself Lan said
Ben who was watching from the cupboard had a thought why hasn't any guard coming, Don't tell me they can't hear.'
With a swift motion, Lan unleashed a surge of dark energy from his hand, aiming directly at the king. Suddenly, something intercepted him, stopping the attack in its tracks.
"Not today," Ben said d a calm voice.
Ben, who had been hiding in the cupboard opened the door and threw a short dagger toward the man. Man gripped the dragger with a powerful shove, because of the impact Man fell back, stumbling across the room.
Regaining his balance, glaring at Ben, Lan roared "Boy, who are you?"
"I won't let you harm the king," Ben said as he moved closing his distance
Garrick's dark aura intensified, shadows swirling around him as he prepared to attack again. Ben remained resolute, ready to defend the king with his life.
"Boy, be careful! He's not himself!" Elara pulling herself up, her voice shaky but determined said
"You're too late, Boy. The king's death is already written."Lan said sneering
"Then I will become the one to erase it," Ben said unwavering
As the man was about to attack King, in an instant Ben appeared back of the man and kicked him back sending him flying to the wall with a bang.
A shriek of pain erupted from Lan's mouth, Ben started moving toward the man lying on the floor shrieking.
" You were the one poisoning him " The revelation hit Elara cold she and the man were assigned to save the king.
