Alice reached the lobby, her heart pounding as she approached the receptionist. "I'm checking out," she announced, her voice steady despite the turmoil inside her.
The receptionist looked surprised. "So soon, Ms. Ashworth ? Was there a problem with your room?" she asked, concern evident in her voice.
"No, everything was fine. I just have to leave unexpectedly," Alice replied, forcing a smile.
As she turned to leave, she heard a familiar voice. It was her half-sister, the woman who had plotted against her. She was on the phone, her voice filled with malicious glee. "Make sure to send the picture of my sister with you guys on it," she was saying.
Alice felt a chill run down her spine. She had to get out of there, and fast. She hurried out of the hotel, blending into the bustling city crowd.
Meanwhile, back in the hotel room, the man was looking around, puzzled. "She left without a trace," he mused, a hint of admiration in his voice. "She's not like the others. This is going to be interesting."
In her previous life, Alice had been a top killer, always on the run, always in danger. Now, in this new life, she was a woman from a wealthy family, but the danger seemed to follow her. She had to find a way to protect herself, to navigate this unfamiliar world. But first, she needed to lay low and figure out her next move.
As she walked down the busy city streets, she couldn't help but wonder what the future held for her. She was Alice, but not the Alice she used to be. She was in a new body, in a new life, and she was determined to survive, no matter what.
Meanwhile, back at the hotel, her half-sister was growing impatient. "Where are those men? Why haven't they sent the picture yet?" she fumed, not knowing that her plan had already failed.
And so, the story continues, with Alice facing new challenges in her new life, her half-sister plotting against her, and the man in the hotel room intrigued by the woman who had managed to escape his grasp.
