As they continued their journey, Lira began to teach Aeron the ways of the Ancients—how to control the power of the bloodline, how to channel the energy that had once been used to shape entire kingdoms. But it was a power that came with a heavy cost. Each time Aeron used the artifact's power, it took a part of him with it, leaving him weaker.
Eira, ever concerned, warned him about the dangers of using the artifact too often. "The power you wield is ancient, yes, but it is not meant to be controlled by one such as you. You must learn restraint, Aeron."
But the temptation was always there, and as they neared Draethar's dark citadel, Aeron could feel the artifact's call growing stronger. The line between who he was and what the artifact could make him become blurred with every step.
