Chapter 43 - Chapter 43: The Fall (Part 5)

The Red Juggernaut's flesh had already rotted and turned black, with dark red blood slowly coagulating on his skin to form grotesque clots. His body exuded the unbearable stench of decay, repulsive to all nearby.

"But more than all that, your flesh looks like it'd be quite chewy," he sneered, throwing a powerful punch toward Red Hulk, his movements ferocious, his strength overwhelming.

"HULK SMASH!"

Red Hulk did not retreat; instead, he charged forward. His fist tightened, and the pulsing veins in his arm became visible, snaking across like rivers of raw power.

The two titans' fists collided, unleashing a deafening boom that reverberated through the air. The force of the impact radiated outward, forming a terrifying shockwave.

The shockwave surged with overwhelming intensity, shattering the metal plates on the deck into countless shards that scattered like a deadly rain. Debris, fire, and sparks were swept up into a massive storm, spreading across the skies surrounding the helicarrier.

Soldiers scrambling across the deck were hurled to the ground by the shockwave, their faces frozen in expressions of terror. The helicarrier's entire structure quaked violently under the immense pressure, creaking as though on the verge of collapse.

Even the nearby undead horde shifted their focus toward the battle, drawn by the ferocity of the clash.

As the shockwave subsided, both combatants briefly paused before stepping back. Red Hulk flexed his bulging muscles, his powerful physique resisting the aftershocks of the blast.

The Red Juggernaut, however, stood like an unshakable fortress. He only stepped back half a stride, his crimson armor gleaming faintly as it absorbed the impact. His body endured the force effortlessly, remaining stable and unyielding.

One was a gamma-radiated monstrosity of incredible strength, the other a zombified colossus powered by an otherworldly demon's essence.

The soldiers observing the battle aimed their weapons at the Red Juggernaut, desperate to intervene. Bullets and energy blasts rained down on the armored behemoth, but his impenetrable shell deflected every attack.

One soldier gulped, staring at the monstrous brawl. "Maybe... we should leave? Looks like General Ross doesn't need our help."

"Agreed."

"Yeah, no point staying here."

"General Ross is invincible!"

Without hesitation, they turned and fled.

Amid the chaos and destruction, a section of the deck rose, revealing a hidden passageway. The doors opened, and Nick Fury's team emerged, quickly making their way toward a nearby Quinjet. They moved with urgency, navigating the battlefield as Red Hulk and the Red Juggernaut clashed in the distance.

Fury shouted, "Evacuate now! Red Hulk can hold them off!"

They sprinted across the debris-strewn deck, dodging fragments and explosive shockwaves. Fury's expression was grim, his gaze betraying a sense of urgency. This battle had already escalated far beyond their ability to control.

Among the retreating group was a stretcher carrying a pale, frail individual bound tightly to it. His body was hooked up to multiple IVs, with a steady flow of medication being administered through tubes.

The patient's face was ghostly white, beads of sweat glistening on his forehead. His eyelids twitched as though struggling against something deep within his consciousness. Occasionally, his eyes flickered with a faint green glow.

Medical personnel surrounded him, monitoring his vital signs with unwavering focus. Their expressions were serious, their efforts entirely devoted to maintaining his fragile state. This individual was clearly of immense importance, his condition demanding extraordinary care.

Elsewhere, Ghost Rider darted across the battlefield on a stolen motorcycle, moving like a black whirlwind around the Quinjet. His iron chain, alive with hellfire, lashed out with devastating precision. Any zombie foolish enough to approach was either sent sprawling or reduced to ash.

Meanwhile, the Red Hulk and the Red Juggernaut's clash grew ever more ferocious. Each thunderous blow sent shockwaves rippling through the helicarrier's deck, warping the steel framework beneath their feet. The shrieking of tortured metal filled the air, a cacophony of destruction.

The Juggernaut roared as he swung his fists, glaring at Red Hulk. "Ross, you should give up! All I need is a single bite of you, and you'll join us in this feast!"

Red Hulk's black hair whipped wildly in the violent winds, disheveled but burning with energy. Like a roaring flame, his hair seemed to dance with every powerful strike, exuding an untamed aura.

Yet his yellow eyes gleamed with cunning. Unlike his son-in-law, Bruce Banner, General Ross retained complete lucidity in his Hulk form. Freed from the limitations of his aging body, he was not only stronger but also sharper.

A sly smile spread across his face as he responded, "Sure, go ahead."

The Red Juggernaut froze mid-punch, blinking in confusion. "Wait, what? You're serious? You'll let me bite you?"

Ross sneered. "Idiot. Ted, now!"

The ground quaked violently as massive vines erupted from beneath, snaking up and entwining the Red Juggernaut's body. These seemingly ordinary vines possessed tremendous strength, coiling around him like constricting pythons and lifting him into the air.

"You think you're gonna stop me? I'm the Red Juggernaut! Noth—ing—stops—the Juggernaut!"

The Juggernaut bellowed, his bulging muscles straining as he fought to break free. Each thrash was accompanied by earth-shaking force, and the vines began to tear apart under his immense strength.

Yet the plant-like humanoid controlling the vines refused to relent, summoning more tendrils to replace those destroyed.

Still, the Juggernaut's destructive force outpaced their regeneration. His flailing arms sent pieces of vine flying with every swing, reducing them to shreds.

"I know exactly who you are, Marco." Ross grinned, flexing his right arm. His fingers curled into a fist, knuckles cracking, his skin tightening over his immense muscles.

"And I also know you weigh exactly 862 kilograms. Good thing I can punch hard enough to flatten a mountain!"

With a mighty roar, Ross unleashed a devastating punch that struck the airborne Juggernaut. The sheer force obliterated the vines binding him, scattering them like confetti.

The Juggernaut's massive form was hurled through the air, trailing red streaks as he rocketed off the helicarrier's deck. His trajectory carved a fiery arc through the sky before vanishing into the distance, accompanied by an explosion that echoed like a meteor strike.
