Chapter 6 - Onboard Hogwarts Express

As Antonio had planned, he had been discharged from his duty as an active auror and was appointed on a special deployment to Hogwarts.

His main aim for the deployment was to guard Hogwarts from any possible attack from Sirius Black and try and capture him.

It was 1st of September and Antonio had arrived early at platform 9 ¾ of the King Cross Station. The platform was completely empty barring few students.

He was greeted by few of his fellow Lords and colleagues from the ministry. Not lingering much on the platform, Antonio made his way into the train and took his seat in an empty compartment.

It had not been few minutes when his door slid open and a middle aged man with a worn out appearance peeped inside the compartment.

'Remus Lupin,' Antonio identified the man.

Seeing the compartment occupied, a small frown appeared on his face and Remus quickly closed the door and walked away.

"If without my presence, this was the compartment Remus sat in then probably the 'golden trio' will seat here only or maybe they will seat in with Remus?" Antonio muttered to himself in slow pondering voice.

He did not have to wait too long to find the answer as a small chaos on the platform soon attracted his attention. It was the chaotic Weasley family and almost squeezed between them was a scrawny looking teenager. With black hair, green eyes along with the infamous scar on his forehead and the iconic glasses, he was Harry Potter.

In complete hustle and bustle, the Weasleys and the trio boarded the Hogwarts express and as was the effect of butterfly fluttering its wind Hermione Ranger, Ron Weasley and Harry Potter made their way into Antonio's compartment.

The trio adjusted their trunks and took their seats opposite him. Hermione gazed intently at him and he smiled at the response from the bossy 'hot headed' girl.

"Good morning," she said. "I have never seen you before."

Hermione was unabashed in her methods as she questioned.

"You probably are our new DADA professor," she added. Antonio could see Harry's ear perking at this as in the past 2 years, both the DADA professor had tried to harm him.

"Good morning, young lady," replied Antonio warmly. "And no… I am not your DADA professor."

Harry visibly relaxed at this.

"I am Hermione Granger," she introduced herself.

"He is Ron Weasley and Harry Potter," she said as she gestured towards her friends.

"And you are?" she added later.

"I am Antonio Olario," replied Antonio.

Before Hermione could ask more questions, Antonio continued, "And I am an auror. I am here to… you can say bring Sirius Black to justice."

Antonio said the second part of his sentence while gazing towards Harry.

"You are here to catch Sirius?" Asked Harry in loud voice.

"You can say so, Mr. Potter," said Antonio. "Though I am not the only one. Dementors are here too."

"Dementors?" asked Harry in a confused voice while Ron's and Hermione's expression told they knew about it.

"Yes dementors," explained Antonio. "They are very unique magical creatures. Some say they are extremely foul and darkest of creatures as they suck away all the happiness from a person. When they target a person, the dementors make them leave their worst possible fear."

Harry almost shuddered at the explanation and he felt a bad premonition in his gut. His experience told that he was about to experience the so called dementors.

Antonio did not speak further and neither did anyone from the trio. They travelled in silence for almost a couple of hours when the train stopped abruptly.

A chilling sensation spread across the entire Hogwarts express and the trio's heart especially Harry's throbbed in fear.

Antonio's calm and composed voice broke the frightening silence.

"Etch this feeling in your hearts," he said. "The arrival of dementors."

As soon as his words were completed, the door of the compartment slid open and two dementors stood floating at the gates.

Before the dementors could proceed towards Harry, Antonio whipped his wand and casted the spell 'Expecto Patronum'.

A large majestic bird or more specifically a raven of glistening silvery light formed near the wand. The two dementors vanished in an instant. Moments later the chilling sensation disappeared and things started to return to normal.

Antonio turned towards professor who had beads of sweats flowing across his forehead as he took deep breaths. Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger seemed less affected.

"Dementors are said to be attracted towards the people with most negative and depressed feelings," said Antonio with a raised eyebrow as he kept his eyes focused on Harry.

Though Harry understood the reference, he kept quiet and the journey continued further in silence.

"What was the spell you used, sir?" Hermione asked as they were nearing the Hogsmeade station.

"It is called Expecto Patronum," replied Antonio. "It is considered to be one of the most powerful spells specially to fight against dark creatures."

"Can we learn it too?" asked Hermione enthusiastically.

"Probably," he said. "But it one of the hardest spells to master."

Hermion's bright expression fell at this but Ron scoffed, "For the know it all and bookworm like you, nothing is hard."

Hermione huffed but did not said anything.
