Chapter 37 - Ch. 37 - Killing a Vampire Elder!

[Serafall PoV]

Ever since I met Chamber, my life seemed to have taken a sudden turn. My dull and boring life circulating around the interests of my family and the entirety of the devil race as a whole were suddenly replaced by him.

Chamberlain Blake.

For some unknown reason or perhaps destiny was playing with my life, I started to form feelings with him.

I asked my mother about this and instead of helping me, she just laughed at me and told me that I'll finally maturing.

Maturing? Seriously? I'm already matured! And what does it even have to do with forming feelings with Chamber?

It's just love, right? I've heard about it from those snobby clan heirs like me, how they express their love for one another.

Seriously, love is so lame like it doesn't even benefit you in any way, right?

Oh how wrong was I.

Ever since Chamber started to live in our place, though he mostly stays at the library, I couldn't help but sometimes cast a Camouflage spell on me just so I can sneak inside library and take a peek at him.

The continued for days and despite almost being caught by him a few times, my heart just can't seem to let go of him.

As if.

As if my heart wanted to be by his side at all times.

It is so complicated, I can't explain it in a better way. You know how babies are too attached to their mothers? That's what it feels to me right now.

Unfortunately yet fortunately, I was taken away for a mission whereas I fought against an Archangel, a step below the highest class of Angels, Seraphims.

It was a very hard-fought battle that almost got me killed several times but my unwavering determination to go home in one piece kept me alive and successfully killed the Archangel.

Not only my feat became famous and further elevated the status of my Sitri family, but I also graduated from a High-class devil to the Ultimate-class, the second highest class among us devils, just a step below of the Satans.

I immediately told ChamCham about my mission and revealed how I got stronger out of excitement, which made me fail to notice the strange glint on his eyes during that day.

Then when I heard that my dad just assigned him in the Sitri's personal army, directly under the command of that idiot Dimitre who could do nothing but simply rely on his Sitri bloodline to at least have an authority to command a small army, I was flabbergasted.

Why did ChamCham agree to join the Sitri's personal army?

That's when realization struck me on the head.

It was me! It was my fault that forced ChamCham to join the army because of my words that had an effect of encouragement towards him.

I tried to tell my dad to pull him back from that idiot's army of command and instead, put him under mine but unfortunately, it was already too late as ChamCham was already out on a mission.

I tried my best to calm myself and hope that ChamCham will finish his mission alive especially since it was my idiot cousin from far relatives is his commander.

Instead, I shifted my focus on the next meeting with the head of the Bael clan, Zekram Bael and his crazy ambition of overthrowing the rule of the four satans and their clans.

I don't even know why my dad agreed to this as he was risking our entire clan.

As if my life was not crazy enough, by the time we arrived at the meeting place and met up with my friends, I noticed someone familiar standing side by side with the crazy man, Zekram Bael.

ChamCham!

During the entire meeting, I kept glaring at him. Why shouldn't I? He just disappeared and joined the army without informing me or at least sending me a letter.

And now all of the sudden, I'd find him surprisingly affiliated with the man I kept calling as crazy and will cause the downfall of our family.

Afterwards, the topic of this meeting just further solidified the fact that this Zekram devil is indeed crazy and a lunatic!

Killing Big G of the Bible using some unknown beast you randomly found in the Dimensional Gap, who is, coincidentally stronger than the Infinity Dragon God and Great Red combined?

It sounds too good to be true and not to mention, even if it was, how would he be sure that Big G would be weakened and not directly be killed?

If that happens, who in this universe would be able to stop that beast?

Finally, just when I had enough of the lunatic's ramblings, the meeting was adjourned and only the adult ones were left talking with one another, he approached me.

Heh, did you really think approaching me like this will make me forgive you for leaving me hanging?

No way!

I'm angry at you, ChamCham!

Super angry!

"What are you thinking?" He went to my side and asked in a hushed tone.

"What do you think?" I lashed out at him and saw the apologetic expression on his face.

"Would you stop glaring at me if I apologize?" He then said, his eyes staring back at me, making me entranced by some reason.

Why…Why do I feel like I want to forgive you?

In the name of the satans, I forgave him and decided to let bygones be bygones.

I mean, it's not that of a big deal, right?

And besides, he apologized, that's enough.

We continued chatting with each other in which I accidentally discovered that he grew immune to the zaps when muttering the Big G's name.

I didn't know you could grow immune to that? Because if it is, then everyone would be immune to it by now.

He's definitely hiding something. I can smell it from miles away.

And I believe it is my right to uncover it!

Unfortunately, the topic shifted into my cousin and before I knew it, Ajuka snatched him away from me.

Dam you, Ajuka! I curse you and your future inventions to be broken!

Unable to chase after them, I was left in the meeting, waiting for it to end as my father was still busy discussing future plans for the faction with Zekram.

Sigh, I wonder when will this madness end?

[Back to the present]

Raising my arms upward, I casted the Mirror Dimension spell, forming a very huge shatter in space, that is much larger than the previous cast.

Thankfully, one of its useful functions is that I'm able to manipulate the movement of the shattered space, moving it around so it could smoothly swallow every vampires that just tried to tower-dive us.

Seeing the crack on the space itself along with swallowing all of the vampires, Serafall grew confused by it.

"What did you do?" She asked me, referring to the Mirror Dimension spell.

Instead of answering her question, I smirked at her and slowly opened a portal while replying.

"Why don't you take a look for yourself?" Without waiting for her response, I jumped inside the portal while leaving it open for her to follow suit.

Serafall grumbled and yet, she also ran forward and jumped into the portal, only to find herself being in the exact same place as before.

"What the? Did the spell fail?" Just as Serafall wanted to laugh at my expense, she stopped and realized that her surroundings not only grew silent but she couldn't sense any living beings near her except for the vampires and me myself.

"Surprised? This is a new spell of mine that I've been working on." Ignoring the vampires who kept glancing around in confusion and cautiousness, I focused on Serafall's reaction.

"New spell? What does it do? Why do I feel like, I'm in the same place yet I'm not?" Serafall asked out of curiosity.

"I call this Mirror Dimension, it is the exact same replica as the real world where I casted the spell except that It's just mere replica. It's like what the name says, this dimension mirrors the real world, nothing here is real." Actually, Serafall wasn't the only one I'm telling this to, but also the vampire bats floating in the air.

"A replica of the real world? Are you telling me that this is a real dimension?!" Suddenly bursting in speed, Serafall appeared in front of me and shook my shoulders repeatedly.

"Yes yes! Stop shaking me!" Thankfully she did.

"Are you serious? Do you know what you just did?" Serafall couldn't help but exaggerate.

"What do you mean? I just took advantage of my demonic power and constructed the magic spell, it's not like it's a big deal, right?"

Instead of answering, Serafall simply stared at me as if she was staring at the dunbest person in the world.

"Right?"

"You've spent so many hours in the library and yet, you don't know how only pantheon Gods and Great Gods can create their own Dimensions!"

Wait really? How come I've never read that before?

Before Serafall could further exaggerate my greatness and charm, we were interrupted by the vampires!

"You mere human! How dare you lock us up and how did you create your own dimension!" At this moment, the vampires one by one, started landing on the ground and turning into their human forms.

In the middle of them was a very charming middle-aged man with a pale face and red eyes, however his clothes was vastly different from the rest of the vampires I encountered.

Unlike normal vampires who usually wear dark robes or thick shirts, this vampire was wearing a very regal armor, his two pauldrons from each shoulder bears an intricate design as it was also made with gold.

From the looks of it, he was the leader of this vampire and the previous bunch I killed yesterday.

How are they even finding me so fast? It only took them a day to find me? Talk about being one step faster than those pizza delivery guys.

"Look, I've had enough encounter with you vampires, are there other ones besides you? I heard your rival are the Werewolves?" Hearing the specific word from my last sentence seemed to have gotten the attention of all the vampires.

Smiling at this, I continued.

"How about calling them here? Seeing vampire faces from yesterday up until now urges me to donate my blood to you all considering how pale your faces are!"

Oh man, I could still remember the good days of trash talking in online games.

"How dare you speak ill of our royal blood! We vampires are a hundred times more powerful than you, mere humans! Even if you brought that devil slut with you, nothing can save you from us!" As soon as he finished his words, the entire surrounding was suddenly engulfed in a pressuring aura.

The vampires who felt it including the Elder himself couldn't help but fall to his knees as he tried his best to stabilize his breathing.

Their already pale face turned even more paler upon realization at the gap of strength being shown.

Serafall remained standing in her place as confusion settled in her face. She was about to go angry at the vampire elder calling her such vulgar word when suddenly, someone beat her to it and has forced the vampires to eat the dirt on the ground.

And that certain someone is me!

Without saying a word, the necklace hanging from my neck glowed brightly in green as I immediately casted [Temporal Lock] ability onto all of them, leaving them unable to move and even realize the situation they're in.

At the same time, my demonic reserves were burning very fast at not only maintaining the Temportal Lock ability on them, including the Mirror Dimension, but I was also creating an enormous amount of spinning Demonic Bullets behind me.

I've just decided to name this upgraded Demonic Bullet.
