Chapter 6 - Chapter 6: Fame Spreads Across the Great Wilderness, Heading Towards the East Sea

Wang Dong left the barren mountain where he had meditated for over a million years. There was nothing to miss here—just a temporary resting place. The Great Wilderness was full of such mountains, and countless others awaited.

However, what Wang Dong didn't know was that his presence had caused a great stir. Many were alarmed by his existence, especially those born of the reincarnated Chaos Gods and Demons, the Primordial Chaos Spirits.

Shortly after Wang Dong departed, several figures appeared in the land he had just left. Each one had the cultivation of a Golden Immortal, with one even at the peak of the Golden Immortal level.

It was important to note that the opening of the heavens had only occurred around 1.5 million years ago, and although these figures were born from the spirits of the Primordial Chaos, most of the Chaos Gods and Demons had taken millions of years to break through to the Golden Immortal level, and even hundreds of millions of years to attain the Great Luo Golden Immortal stage.

This indicated the exceptional talents of these individuals.

"Heh, Old Qiankun, what brings you here? Aren't you always holed up in your little den?" sneered an elder dressed in a Tai Chi Daoist robe, with his hair tied up in a crown and holding a jade Buddha whisk. His voice was filled with sarcasm as he mocked the newcomer.

"Hmph, Yin-Yang Old Ghost, you're no better," the Qiankun Old Ancestor retorted, clearly uninterested in further banter. He glanced around and went to where Wang Dong had been sitting.

"Qiankun Daoist, Yin-Yang Daoist, Devourer Daoist, you've all arrived!" At that moment, a fiery red figure shot through the sky and landed beside the group.

"Lu Ya Daoist, you're here as well. Daoist, with your vast knowledge, do you have any information about this mysterious powerhouse?" Yin-Yang Old Ancestor, who was quite familiar with Lu Ya, immediately inquired.

Since Yin-Yang Old Ancestor and Lu Ya were acquainted, he knew Lu Ya's origins. As a Primordial Fire Spirit, Lu Ya had awakened much earlier than most and had been around before the opening of the heavens, knowing many hidden secrets.

Lu Ya arrived at Wang Dong's former resting place and, after feeling the aura, said, "I have some vague impression, but it's unclear. I might be mistaken," he shook his head and sighed.

Meanwhile, Qiankun Old Ancestor noticed that the Devourer Daoist was acting strangely. The Devourer's face kept switching between extreme anger and deep fear, with drastic mood swings that seemed bizarre.

"Hmm, could it be that the Devourer knows something?" Qiankun Old Ancestor thought. He could no longer suppress his curiosity and asked, "Devourer Daoist, do you have any information about him?"

As soon as the words left his mouth, both Lu Ya and Yin-Yang Old Ancestor turned to look at the Devourer, hoping he would reveal a clue.

The Devourer felt a deep sense of frustration. It wasn't that he didn't know who Wang Dong was; rather, the memory was too vivid. Wang Dong had once chased him for over a billion kilometers. If it hadn't been for another Chaos God-Demon who was in even worse shape than him appearing along the way, he might have ended up like those other Chaos Gods and Demons consumed by Wang Dong—obliterated soul and all.

Although his body had been shattered by Pangu, his remaining soul had reincarnated. He had survived, not in a glorious way, but alive nonetheless. And with a large number of subordinates now under his command, the Devourer was able to breathe a sigh of relief.

Looking at the three, the Devourer wasn't willing to provide any more details. He'd rather they annoy the mysterious figure and be obliterated. "You can't afford to offend him," he warned. "He's not someone you can deal with."

Without waiting for them to respond, the Devourer immediately took off into the sky.

Lu Ya, Qiankun, and Yin-Yang looked at each other in confusion. "Well, I guess we'll just have to be careful and avoid crossing paths with him," Qiankun Old Ancestor said, before flying off.

"Dao Lord, the Devourer seems to know something, but he refuses to tell us," Yin-Yang Old Ancestor said as he waved his Buddha whisk to disperse a small mountain ahead of them.

"Mm, Yin-Yang Daoist, it's alright. Qiankun Daoist is right. We won't provoke him. After all, he won't come after us without reason," Lu Ya replied, before transforming into a streak of fire and flying away.

Sighing helplessly, Yin-Yang Old Ancestor followed suit and left as well.

After returning to their respective domains, each of these great beings issued orders to their subordinates to avoid trouble—especially to never provoke a Chaos God-Demon with eight wings. Otherwise, they'd face a slow and torturous death.

After the news spread to various factions, almost all of them issued similar warnings. For a time, the Great Wilderness became surprisingly calm.

Meanwhile, Wang Dong's name spread far and wide across the Great Wilderness, becoming a taboo that many factions dared not provoke.

Of course, Wang Dong had no idea about any of this. Even if he did, he wouldn't care. After all, there was no existence in the Great Wilderness that could currently threaten his life.

Not even Hongjun or Yang Mei could pose such a danger. Wang Dong was confident of that.

Since his awakening, Wang Dong had been either cultivating or scheming to grow stronger. He had felt weary, and after determining that his next destination was the East Sea, he began his leisurely journey there. After all, who knew when he'd have the chance to enjoy such leisure again?

Along the way, Wang Dong took up the world's oldest profession—farming. Whenever he encountered valuable materials, he gathered them; primordial spiritual roots, he took them; magic treasures, he collected them…

Wang Dong walked and gathered along the way, taking only what he needed without overexploiting resources. He'd always take a portion of any spiritual roots, leaving enough for future growth—he didn't need to be unnecessarily cruel.

Of course, he wasn't letting everything go. Wang Dong knew that in later generations, many sects would fight endlessly over even a small amount of thousand-year-old spiritual materials, sometimes even leading to the destruction of entire sects.

Although the Great Wilderness had an abundance of spiritual materials now, after a few massive wars, the spiritual energy would likely diminish. At that point, even a single primordial spiritual material might cause celestial beings to intervene.

Therefore, to prepare for future scarcity, it was wise to accumulate as much as possible now. It would save everyone from fighting and wasting energy later on—and it wouldn't cost Wang Dong much effort. It was a way to enjoy himself while preparing for the future.

As he traveled, Wang Dong encountered all sorts of strange creatures in the vast world. There were vicious beasts with three legs and two mouths, fairies with their heads down and tails up, creatures that devoured only rocks, and massive beings with the hearts of mice, fleeing from even smaller but more aggressive creatures…

Naturally, Wang Dong also encountered many savage beasts along the way. He didn't hold back, annihilating any creature born solely for slaughter.

Over the course of time, Wang Dong had killed tens of thousands of savage beasts. His aura of bloodlust far surpassed that of the beast kings. As soon as those creatures encountered him, they fled in fear.

And just like that, a thousand years passed unknowingly.

Finally, today, Wang Dong reached the East Sea's coastline. The vast ocean stretched endlessly to the horizon, far broader than the oceans of his previous world, making the sight incredibly awe-inspiring.

Now, it was time to prepare a vessel for his avatar. He hoped to find the three great islands of the East Sea to help in the next step of his plan.
