Chapter 13 - The second ripple.

AN: I have been thinking of this idea for years. Yet I could not ever show this. Neither did I ever see this idea from others. I hope this opens the brains of many other people. It opens them up to the possibilities of what's possible.

Conflict.

There are so many reasons that justify it.

War.

There are not that many reasons to justify this, to be honest. Sure you can use whatever reasons, but they do not 'Justify' it. Propaganda tries, but in fiction, very few things justify war. Readers with a third pov aren't as easy to fool as emotional people who lost their family in war.

No, one thing that easily justifies war in the eyes of readers is 'want'.

Want for food.

Want for resources.

Want for survival.

Every writer that ever tried to write fictional war, try to justify the aggressors using these three things.

'You have lands, we need food. Give us your land or we will fight.'

'You have Mithril, that will allow us to remain in the mortal realm for longer, give us Mithril, or we will take it from you.'

'If I eat you, I'll live. I'll become stronger. Let me eat you.'

And so on.

Naruto's author wasn't different. And one village he had for this reason. And that was the Sand village.

Village hidden by sand. That's what Sunagakure means.

And it is in the middle of a freaking desert.

A FUCKING DESERT!!!!

Why the FUCK do they live there?

Does it have minerals that they can export?

What kinda missions do they do?

'C rank mission: Carry water from point A to B. Be careful, there will be hostile camels that will try to steal your jug of water.'

There is so much space in the other countries.

But no, they had to live there and Bitch and Moan about it in every war.

They attended every war and got absolutely nothing from them. They lost every damn war.

The only reason they probably exist is because that place has mines and some clans like living there, like the wasp-rearing clan.

Hmm, they are kinda well protected in that they can not be easily attacked by an army.

But then why fight wars to get more land from other countries like Konoha or Rain?

It's absurd from a certain point.

...Well, in a certain way, this entire segment is asinine and unrealistic logic as well.

What else are they supposed to do?

Leave their homes and livelihoods?

These might be setbacks but at least they can be proud that that is what they own.

And the ninja only lives there because their people live there. Their families and many other people.

What would happen if everyone is relocated from there?

The mines would be rediscovered again, and people from other countries would rush there, they enjoy the money and happiness for maybe one or two generations and then we end up back where we started.

The ninjas are basically a military force.

They are there to prevent the people living there from being massacred and having their possessions looted.

The missions are secondary or supplementary. Whatever your point of view is.

There are two hidden villages that are practically destitute when compared to the other three.

The Hidden mist and sand.

Mist because Obito made sure to destroy their economy and ninjas from the inside.

Sand, because they live in a desert, and in every war they sacrifice their shinobi in exchange for resources that they use up over time.

It is an unsustainable model.

Meanwhile, Konoha fights against every village and thrives even more after each battle.

It's simple, they have power.

Stone, Cloud, and Leaf are extremely strong. After the Fourth Ninja War, the Cloud keep getting even stronger while the others stagnate. (Except Konoha)

Anyways, we are getting off-topic.

The main crux of the issue is, that all the conflict centers around Konoha because they have the most resources is located in the center. They are close to practically every Hidden village.

So, to remove all the attention from Konoha, the best way would be to make any other country rich that is weak enough that all the other hyenas would be tempted to attack.

Shisui looked at the man/child and couldn't help but ask, "Are we going to sacrifice them for Konoha? Is this what we must do?"

Namit looked at him with a complicated gaze. He had to look away.

"You know what Itachi's goal in life is?"

They looked at each other's eyes. They had similar conversations before. It did not make the decision easier.

"You know they will be greedy and try to hoard it all."

Namit gave a shallow smile.

"Hopefully not. But who am I kidding? They all pick their leaders based on how big a dick he has. Not because of their wisdom. I hope they choose what's best for them. But I know they will be greedy.

After all, this is exactly what they daydream about every day. No way they will give it up.

But it's alright. We have to start somewhere. We can't keep being paralyzed by potential consequences.

There will be losses. But at the end of the day, After the bloodshed, more people will be happy than not.

I can not find any other way to justify this. Does that answer your dilemmas?"

Shisui and Itachi have been spending a lot of time talking about philosophies. Shisui and Itachi would post many plans of actions and Namit would give counterarguments.

When they stopped giving new ideas, Namit would pose situations and ask them what they would do.

This is an identical situation to one that he asked them about a long time ago.

When Namit gave counterarguments, both of them were horrified and yelled out that that would not be the case.

But they knew, deep inside, exactly what would happen. They just didn't want to accept it. But at the end of the day, they both knew, that if something seems too good to be true, it probably is.

"Shisui? Are you ready?"

Shisui looked at him in the eye and nodded.

What they were about to do would change the Ninja world.
