A powerful and mysterious organization that consists of people who answer to 12 individuals. This organization operates in the shadows of society and only a few individuals know of their existence.
Piers and Orion belong to this very organization. Even though they were on par with Mathew, they are considered relatively weak among the 12.
In every group, 4 people directly work under each of the 12 Zodiacs, they are called 'commanders'. What makes them special is that they are blessed with 20% of the zodiac's powers.
Kate, who served as Piers' PA can be considered as a commander of the Zodiac group which Piers represents.
As soon as the news regarding Orion's death reached the commanders, they were enraged and wanted to avenge their leader, who they had been following most of their lives.
So, Castor, Propus, Alhera and Walter, the four commanders under the control of Orion, convened a meeting.
"As the head commander, I can't just sit still and do nothing. We need to avenge our leader and should not let his death be in vain" Castor, a man of large build said as he looked around.
"You're right Castor, we at least owe Orion this. But we still don't know who exactly killed our leader" Propus, a stout man replied.
"Don't worry, I've got leads. I think I know who killed our leader" Castor said in a dark tone.
"Tell us more" Walter, a thin and tall man, asked.
"As you guys know, Sir Orion is a genius when it comes to dimensional travels and all that. I remember him telling me that there was a place in this town where there seemed to be a crack in the dimension. It leads to another dimension that is completely the mirror version of the world we're currently in" Castor explained calmly.
"Wow, such a thing exists!. As expected of Sir Orion, even after his death, he never ceases to amaze me" Alhera, the only female member of the team said in amazement.
"You're failing to see the bigger picture Alhera" Propus chided.
"What?" Alhera asked in confusion.
"Castor, that place..it's the same place where Sir Orion and Mr Piers used to meet right?" Propus asked.
"That's correct, he wanted to go and check out the place for himself" Castor replied with a nod.
"So, that's when he confirmed the existence of the other side huh?" Walter questioned.
"Correct, and dimensions like that can't exist without the support of someone," Castor said seriously.
"And that someone should be as powerful or more powerful than us" Propus added with a frown.
"Are you suggesting that-" Walter asked in hesitation.
"Yes, the one who killed Sir Orion might be one of those 12 fragments and whoever it is, they are in there," Castor said in a grave tone.
"If that's the case, then I'll go and scout" Alhera volunteered. She was pretty confident in her escaping skills.
"Good idea. If you do manage to get in, don't overdo it. Remember, you're only there for scouting" Castor reminded.
"Sure, where was that place again?" Alhera asked. "It's a bar called 'Drown'" Castor replied.
"Alright, then I'll be back as soon as I find something" Alhera vanished from the meeting.
Altera left the Gemini facility and reached the bar. The bar had more customers than usual. Many people were drinking and dancing.
"I'm feeling it too, there's something weird here" Alhera muttered as she entered the bar.
"How annoying" Alhera muttered as she looked at the people in the bar.
"Wait..the crack in the dimension that Castor told me is easy to detect now. Maybe, it grew in size.
Guess I'll just sneak in then, haha" Alhera muttered in understanding as she started to move towards the crack.
"Dimensional-blink" Alhera muttered as she vanished from the bar without anyone's notice.
"Now, where should I start" Alhera muttered as entered the mirror world. She stood in front of Raven's burger.
…
"And as I was saying, this guy-" Jayden stopped his narration and narrowed his eyes, as he looked in a certain direction.
"What happened bro Jayden, why did you stop?" Arthur asked in confusion. Arthur and Jayden were talking for a while and Arthur started to feel a bit familiar with Jayden.
"We've got company" Jayden replied, as he got from the chair. "Someone's here?" Arthur asked in confusion as he started to follow Jayden.
"Yes, and they're not your average person, they're strong" Jayden stopped and looked at Arthur.
"They're strong huh? Then, we'll just outnumber them" Arthur replied without much thought.
"It's not that easy. You better stay here, it's not safe" Jayden advised in concern.
"Enough, I'm so sick and tired of people saying 'it's not safe here', 'it's too dangerous'. I'm done with this. I'll help you, Jayden" Arthur snapped.
He remembered his helplessness the day when Mark and Dave attacked. He didn't want to feel like that ever again.
"I take it that you're not the type to listen to others. It's not a problem, come with me" Jayden replied with a sigh.
As Jayden and Arthur left the bar, they locked eyes with Alhera, who was walking towards the bar.
Alhera was stunned for a bit but immediately composed herself.
She only felt danger from that old man. She didn't feel even a trace of Nova from that boy.
"So, you're the one who's responsible for creating this mess of a world, old hag," Alhera said as she got ready to engage.
"I don't know what you are talking about lady, but if you don't want any trouble, leave while I'm giving you a chance," Jayden said in a serious tone.
"Shut up old man, you look like you could break any moment. And also, you reek of alcohol. Not the best way to spend your final days, you know" Alhera replied mockingly.
"Old man huh? Don't call me that, I'm not a day past my prime-" Before Jayden could recite his lines, Alhera shot a blast of yellow Nova between Arthur and Jayden.
The blast of Nova was about to hit the bar when it suddenly changed directions and hit the building next to it. There was a huge hole where the Nova hit.
"What just happened? What was that thing?" Arthur asked in a panic.
The energy looked like the monkey doll he saw in Kael's hand. But it had a different color and had a different feel to it.
"He can see that? Maybe he has…, no that's not possible. Anyway, he won't be of any use to me while facing her" Jayden muttered to himself.
"Arthur, leave. Do you wanna stay here even after seeing the danger " Jayden looked at Arthur helplessly.
"I swear, this is the last time that I'm running off like this" Arthur said in frustration as he started to run towards a clock tower.
He knew he would only be a hindrance to Jayden if he stayed. As Arthur was running away, he heard a crashing sound. He looked above in fear. Jayden crashed into the clock tower in front of him and fell like a broken doll. He was missing both his arms and crashed right in front of Arthur, coughing blood.
"Oldman Jayden…Oldman Jayden" Arthur cried in panic as he crouched near Jayden "I told you…I'm not-" Jayden stopped breathing.
"Now that the old hag is dead, you're next boy" Alhera's confident voice reached Arthur's ears.
