'What's this?' Lucian thought while the ran silently.
He had the feeling that something was off while they ran. The slums seemed deserted.
Usually they'd come across drunks slandering across the streets before collapsing on the side, or a sex depraved pair making out the open like animals.
But this time, they barely saw anyone while they made their way to the centre of the slum.
"Haha…."
"....yess!"
'Hmm?'
As they moved closer to the centre though, the previously dim streets began to light up and they could finally hear the chaotic chatter of people.
Climbing to one of the rooftops for better view, they understood what was going on, and why the streets were so dark and empty.
It appeared that today was some kind of celebration in the slums.
