Chapter 14 - Chapter 14- Deventhia got her cheat or not?

"S-such humiliation!?"

A small boy—Vyerin, to be exact—groaned, slumping against a tree.

He sat down awkwardly, one hand clutching his sore backside while his face twisted in both pain and anger.

The memory of what had just happened made his teeth clench.

He couldn't believe he had been treated like that—by her, of all people.

"I will kill you, Deventhia!" he hissed under his breath.

His royal pride burned like a flame inside him.

Deventhia was someone from his past—someone he thought he had left behind long ago.

At the age of 12, he had brainwashed her for fun, turning her into a villainess who bullied noblewomen at his command.

He'd moved on from her once he became a prince, never thinking of her again.

But now, so many years later, she was back, and she had humiliated him in the worst way possible—slapping the shit out of his butt.

Seven years ago, his life had taken a terrible turn.

While battling his brother, a forbidden spell backfired, leaving him trapped in the body of a child.

He was teleported to the far edges of the kingdom, stripped of his power—except for his brain control magic.

Over the years, he slowly regained his strength, though it was still nowhere near what it used to be.

Even so, he believed it was enough to fight and take back his throne.

His plans took a lucky turn when he found the orphaned daughter of one of his royal sisters, who had married a commoner and run away a few years ago.

Using his magic, he made her believe he was her brother.

She adored him, and he planned to use her as an heir when he returned to the royal capital.

Life wasn't perfect, but it was manageable—until she appeared.

The trouble started when he stole some bread to feed himself and his "sister."

It should have been a simple task, considering he had done it previously and brainwashed people all the time, causing them to forget about their minds.

But just as he was escaping, that woman, Devanthiya, showed up, unaffected by his magic, which had even made Archmages kneel at his feet.

Instead of falling under his control like most people, she beat him—no, she beat shit out of him.

Very badly.

'I will rip her skin and make toilet paper out of it!' Vyerin muttered angrily, shifting to ease the pain in his swollen butt. As he lifted his pant, he saw that it was red like a monkey.

He had tried using his brainwasg magic on her many times, but each attempt ended with him on the ground, humiliated and beaten—first for bread, then for fish.

Initially, due to his hurt ego from not being able to control a random woman, he even planned to sneak into her home with his sister, pretending to eat bread. When she fell asleep, he intended to control her mind.

But fate had other plans.

But that random woman wasn't just anyone.

She was the same girl he had turned into a villainess years ago.

And above all, she had escaped from the royal capital.

Her actions had drawn the attention of Emperor Avendial—Vyerin's elder brother and sworn enemy.

Things went from bad to worse when his brother appeared and claimed Vyerin was Deventhia's son—their son to be exact.

Not that Vyerin cares if these both brainless dogs married, but how he could be their son!

"Their son!?" Vyerin could still hardly believe it.

The absurdity of the claim made him want to crawl into a hole.

But he had no choice.

Pretending to be an innocent child was the only way to survive his brother's wrath.

In the end, Viren was not as strong as he had been previously. Knowing his brother well, it was inevitable that he would most likely kill him the moment he realized that he was the real Viren.

But, letting that moment pass, just a few hours ago, she thought of a plan to finally control that woman's mind, which she knew was not possible considering the woman was brainless. Yet, she tried poisoning Deventhia with a special herb to numb her mind and make her lower her guard.

And even more, according to his plan, she ate that fish like a pig, a big pig, even devouring the bones of the fish. But after not even giving a burp, she beat the shit out of his ass.

The memory made his blood boil.

"Deventhia, you will pay for this!" he growled softly.

"How dare you disgrace the royal butt!"

But for now, all Vyerin could do was sit hidden behind the tree, groaning quietly.

His pride was shattered, and the pain in his backside was a constant reminder of how far he had fallen that even though he was successful in feeding her that poisonous herb he can't even move and go to the carriage inside which she was sleeping to manipulate her mind as he could only groan in pain sitting there.

----

"Huh? Have I finally awakened my golden finger?" I thought while seated inside the carriage, watching as mosquitoes that had normally bothered me for five years now lay dying on the carriage floor. It became clear to me that this was a sign I had awakened my golden finger.

A cheat that gave me the ability to sleep well at night without being bothered by mosquitoes.

"Pity, if only I could create sauce and ketchup too." I felt a sense of regret that I wasn't able to create other sauces for my bread, even though I had tried very hard. With my eyes closed, I embraced the peaceful sleep that hinted it was time for a good night's rest inside the carriage, which I had locked up, my mind completely calm in contrast to how angry I had felt that morning. I felt sleepy yet energetic, as my cheat seemed to be overpowered in this forest.

And before going to sleep, I didn't forget to wish a good night to my most beloved.

"Good night, my bread."
