After taking a shower, Yan decided to go to the imperial library. When he thought it was a dream, he was not interested in anything other than ruling, but now, with the chance to be in a different world, he was curious to learn about this world.
He put on the emperor's clothes and walked after he knew where the library was. At first, he wanted to ask one of the maids about its location, but he hesitated. Even if he was the worst emperor, it was not reasonable for him not to even know where the library was. In his world, all kings were particularly interested in royal libraries, not only for knowledge, but also to show off their culture and the breadth of their knowledge. He called one of the servants, and when the servant came, he said, "Bring me a map of the country from the library... or I will go to the library, the road is in front of me." The servant did not understand what His Majesty wanted, but he knew that he wanted to go to the library, so he went ahead of him and turned to him every second and said while bowing, "This way, Your Majesty."
Yan was thinking about how to use the knowledge he gained in his world and apply it in this world. If he really had transferred into the body of the emperor, this meant that he had to rule this empire with all seriousness. He evaluated the three things he excelled in ((trade, alchemy and martial arts)) At first, trade was important and would benefit him greatly. As for alchemy, unlike the world of this world, it did not contain spiritual energy and therefore did not have souls like his world. Alchemy was created for two purposes. First, to strengthen the human body, and the second and most important part was to strengthen souls, which occupied the most important space in alchemy. So he thought of teaching some people how to strengthen bodies and about some medical treatments. As for martial arts, he looked at them differently. In this world, there was little qi that did not even allow him to reach the level of (bone purification) at best, but he decided to meditate anyway.
At this time he arrived at the royal library, which was a medium-sized palace with seven floors.
The servant went inside and informed the official about His Majesty's arrival. He came running to him. The person in charge of the library was fat. His eyes were small and could not see because of his fat face. Ink covered his hands and brown cotton clothes. The official quickly knelt at Yan's feet and said, "This subject is honored by the arrival of Your Majesty." Yan told him to get up and said, "No problem, I came today just to explore the place. Tell me, when was the last time you came here?" The official said, "Thank you for remembering us, Your Majesty. This is the first time we have been honored by your presence, as Your Majesty is busy with the affairs of the people." Yan was happy with this news as he could now ask him whatever he wanted.
He entered the first floor and said Yan, "Tell me everything you have in mind. What do you need? Papers, workers, rare books? Say what you wish for and I will bring it to you." Yan wanted to improve the public image of the emperor. He knew from their reactions when he spoke to them that the person who now inhabited his body was a tyrant who loved entertainment and did not care about the affairs of government at all. He had never known a ruler in his life who had not entered the royal library. This meant that he was not even educated. Fortunately, the language used in this world and even the writing was the same language of his scholar, otherwise he would be in a very bad situation.
The person in charge of the royal library was called Sun Ring. He had lived through three emperors in his life, and the last one was the person in front of him now. Compared to his previous behavior, he was cautious when dealing with him. He even thanked God that His Majesty did not visit the library. He even doubted if he knew where the library was. But after meeting him, the image he had of him changed a little, especially after he offered to increase the support that had been canceled at the beginning of his rule. Sun Ring answered the emperor with a happy smile, "Indeed, Your Majesty, I have many requests, but I am too shy to ask them of you." He said this and bowed. Yan walked between the bookshelves, reading their titles (History of the Twenty Kingdoms, Legend of the Sailor Zeno, Gods and Humans, Ideal Relationship Between Married Couples...). When he heard the person in charge speak, he told him, "Don't worry, I promise to fulfill all your requests. Write them down on a piece of paper and I will take it before I leave. Now I will explore the library. I don't want anyone around." Then he began to browse the books on the first floor, and Sun found himself ordering all the employees to leave, and he sat on one of the chairs while writing at the highest speed everything he wanted, the reason for his haste was his fear that the emperor would quickly get bored and leave before he even wrote what he wanted, and he even hoped that he would fall asleep while browsing the books and not wake up until the next day.
Everyone was quickly exiting through the back door of the library. Only Yan was accompanied by one employee who had made him accompany him to tell him what he wanted. At first, Yan asked about the first floor and said, "Why are there books about the gods next to a book about marital relations?" He pointed to one of the shelves and the attendant quickly answered, "Your Majesty, on the first floor we sort the books and review them for errors. We also search the folds of the books to see if there are any forbidden things." He said calmly. The attendant was very tall, perhaps reaching one meter and ninety, so much taller than Yan. He was also weak to the point that Yan suspected that he was sick. He was wearing the uniform of the employees, which was a traditional sky-blue robe with a white hat with the yin and yang drawn on it.
The attendant explained to Yan the mission of each of the seven floors. The first was for sorting and copying books, the second was about military strategies, the third was about economics, the fourth was about politics and the principles of governance, the fifth was about martial arts, the sixth was about medicine, and the seventh was where the most important rare and ancient books were kept.
As for Yan, he wished that time would stop until he finished studying all these books, but he calmed himself down and decided to go to the seventh floor. He would study the rest slowly until he finished them or until he returned to his original world. The library was designed as a large room with shelves for books. There was a staircase at the beginning of the room, so if a person wanted to go up to the next floor, he could go up easily. There was a special room for reading with many seats. On each floor, there was a bell tied to the first floor. In case something happened, everyone would be alerted to this matter. Yan and the companion behind him went up without stopping to the seventh floor. After a few minutes, they finally reached it. Yan looked at the place in amazement. Unlike the other floors, there were books plated with gold and books made of animal skins and even human skins. While Yan was browsing the books, he looked at the bottom of the shelf and found a giant book consisting of about a thousand pages. Its title was (Master of Engraving).
