Dungeon training.
Well. Getting used to my new eyes at first. Byakugan is really good. I could see everything, a kilometre away and it didn't give a shit about any obstacles. My vision also extended to all 360° and I could see even a kick from the back. Seeing a person's tenketsu and chakra channels is also very useful. In addition to them, I could also see the insides of a person, which was not a pleasant sight. So, after playing with these eyes for a while, I started to perform a ritual to merge all my eyes. It took me about a week. I didn't want to fail, so I checked everything very carefully and did everything very carefully. The ritual went smoothly and I gained the abilities of all my eyes at the same time. The results were great! The combo of Sharingan and Byakugan gives unreal properties!!! Fast processing of information from the Sharingan and a shitload of information from the Byakugan. In general, these eyes complement each other. After that, my stats increased a lot, such as: Speed, Dexterity, Intelligence, and most of all Perception. Chakra volume and regeneration increased. Hyuga and Byakugan features have been added. And a technique: Juken 1. Thanks to it, I can strike directly at the opponent's Tenketsu, disrupting his chakra flow so he can't use it. What's also remarkable is that I can release chakra from my entire body. Previously, I could only do that with Fox's chakra, since he's made up of chakra, but now...The changes are amazing. My chances in melee combat have increased a lot. No one knows that I have Byakugan, and I can stealthily strike Tenketsu in combat without changing my eyes. That's kind of where the changes end. After some training, my sight radius has increased, though not by much, but like I said, the Byakugan is constantly evolving. I wonder how far I'll be able to see with Tenseigang? Will it be able to cover the entire planet as well as the moon? But that's for later.
Next, I wanted to start training Fencing, but that was a bummer. It was only effective with mana, and I still hadn't learnt how to control it. So I gave up on Swordsmanship and concentrated on Kenjutsu. When I learnt it, I had to learn a chakra technique called "Flow". Swordsmen used it to channel their chakra into weapons, and could also launch a shockwave of chakra. But they were launching pure chakra, while I decided to use transformed chakra. After six months of training, I got the hang of Kenjutsu and moved on to regular techniques. Training with Flow, by the way, increased my control a lot. I learnt it so quickly because I have a cheat to use Cloning.
Of the techniques that were in the scrolls were water and earth techniques. Of those, I learnt: Water Cannon, just a big jet of water. I wanted to learn something of a defensive type, against fire attacks. Bursting Wave, a thin concentrated stream of water that slices through everything in its path. The Water Bullet technique, a small concentrated drop of water that's launched at a target like a bullet. And the most useful, in my opinion, is the Dematerialising Veil Technique, simply called Invisible Veil. It was used by Tsuchikage Mu. The technique refracts the sun's rays and makes me invisible. I can even move after using it, but without a certain amount of concentration, it stops working. Although it's a rank B technique, it's very useful! From the Earth Techniques I learnt Mud Wall, which is just a solid wall of mud, and Concealment in Rock, which is a technique that allows me to pass through rock like Yamato did. I was also able to tweak this technique to Metal and Cement, so now I can literally walk through a wall. But even with the clones it took, again, six months.
I thought about going back, but decided I needed to get even stronger. So I stayed for another year to train Nara and Gate Techniques. I was able to master the Shadow Paralysis technique and was able to control the shadow to the point where I could use it like a controlled whip or tentacle. I also mastered Shadow Stakes, which require you to direct your shadow into the enemy's shadow and launch it upwards. After Shadow Paralysis this technique is lethal. I also decided to master another interesting Earth technique, Strengthening. But after I mastered it, I flew not a technique, but Skill: Strengthening Ur.1.
The gate also finally got the hang of it. I was able to open the first and second gates. They are very useful for hand-to-hand combat. After opening the First Gate, I will give my best, and when I run out of stamina, I will open the Second Gate.
I've also been upgrading my skills. With each Level, the Strengthening increased in strength, but it was as strong as stone, but after evolving into Steel Strengthening, it became as strong as steel. After activating it, kunai and shuriken (normal) are not scary to me, nor are swords without chakra. The YAKI skill after evolution became Spiritual Pressure of the first level. Now even Chunin won't want to fight me because of fear. Killer Step was pumping very slowly, so I didn't have time to pump it, but I became much more inconspicuous. That's about it.
Exactly after 730 days in the dungeon, went to the boss.

Yeah, looks can be deceiving. While I was looking at her from far away, she looked like a beautiful young girl in a green dress and with long silky green hair. But as I got closer, her face contorted with Malice and she had claws and fangs. She controlled every living thing in this clearing and pointed her stakes of wood at me. I had no trouble cutting through everything and rushed towards her. She tried to defend herself by pointing everything sharp and no at me. But the instantaneous cut quickly finished her off...at least it should have, but the katana went through her like a puff of smoke. And then I had to dodge vines, sharp grass and stakes of wood. They were very fast, but after training and with activated eyes they didn't seem so. After I had my Fortification, at least the grass wouldn't be able to pierce me, but I'd still get hit. So, dodging all sorts of attacks, I wondered why I couldn't cut her down. The answer came quickly, she's a spirit, so she's an immaterial entity, so I infused the katana with chakra and sent a fiery slashing wave at her. I put a lot of chakra into it, so the cut was very large and burned everything.
Level up!
Level up!
Level up!
- Three levels, so now I'm at level 53.
You killed the boss of Traini's Dungeon.
You have obtained the Soul Crystal, level 60.
- Hmm, no Title this time? Maybe that's because she was a Spirit and not a plant or mutant? Then how many do I need to kill to get the Title?
After a few minutes, it was like the whole environment started to fall apart just like the notification window and the same forest appeared in its place. Looks like I'm back in the real world.
- Well, then, let's find out what she was guarding.
As I walked round the tree, I noticed a small green glow. It was coming from the hollow. I looked at it with my Byakugan and saw only a rock the size of my fist. Pulling it out, I examined it. It was just a big stone, just green in colour, with something written on it in white. I didn't realise what, but then a notification window started flashing in the corner of my vision. Opening it, I started reading...
Congratulations!
You have found the Spirit Rune Stone.
Destroy the stone to gain the skill: Phantasmal Phantasm Grade 1.
- Phantasm? Is that Traini's skill? Or is it just a random skill I got for completing the dungeon? Phantasm, hmmm... Well, let's try it! - Having said that, I smashed it in my hands, strength permitting, and it crumbled and as if green energy from it went into my body and it glowed.
Congratulations!
Obtained skill: Phantasmal Illumination Level 1.
Having activated it, I felt lightness in my body. The transparency of the body did not change as I expected, I was the same as before. On reflection, I decided to stick my hand into the wood and it went right through!
- K-class! Wow, now I can walk through objects, just like a ghost. Oh, yeah, that's what it's called. Really, now I feel like a fool for all that Hiding in the Rock training that went to waste. And even all the variations of it. Yeah, but it's still cool that I have such a skill now!
After jumping around for a few more minutes, I went to the clearing. On the way, I activated Mu's Invisibility Technique and walked slowly, being invisible. I also activated Killer Step. It's still a great combo, and if you activate Phantasm as well...but that's enough for now. When I reached the clearing, I saw Saki there. She was still training even though it was late. In the past two years, she's the one I've often thought about. Did you miss her? Definitely!!! She was practising Fire techniques, so I stealthily approached her from behind. After waiting for a bit, I hugged her tightly, removing her Techniques in the process. She was quite taken aback by this and shrieked....
- Kyaiyaiyaiyai!!!! D-dai-kun?!?!!? Is that you?! You scared me so much!!! How did you sneak up on me like that, I didn't even see you! Where did you come from!?
- I'm happy to see you again too, Saki-chan. But you don't seem too happy to jump back from a simple hug. - and looked at her with a look of universal resentment.
- Aah! No, I'm very happy! Really!!!-and ran up to me and hugged me, almost throwing me to the ground, but I held on and took her in my arms and jumped to the rock. Usually after returning from hunting in the Forest of Death, I always sit here with Saki lying on my lap. It makes me realise that I'm back. Saki didn't mind and laid down as usual. Sitting there, only thinking about the exam and later becoming a Genin....
***
After an hour or two of such quiet sitting, I walked Saki home, and went...home too. I missed home, too.
- I'm home! - Silence. Heh-heh, it's really sad. What was I hoping for, though? I'd like to see my family back home, but they're gone. Hmm, why not try out that combo I was thinking about the other day? Activating Invisibility, Killer Step, and Phantasm, I ran towards the orphanage. Along the way, I didn't turn around at any obstacles. I passed through houses, restaurants and shops. I saw a lot of people doing work, just playing or talking, and I even saw intimacy...but I didn't stay there long. Anyway, after running all the way through, I got to Naruto's room. Once inside the room, he dispelled the Clone on duty. Nothing unusual had happened all day. I did notice a small problem, though. Naruto was really given the bare minimum and that was it. So the kid was bored and crying too. It wasn't a big problem, but it still hurt his feelings. The clone could play with him at night, but not for long and very quietly. But the important thing is that no one is maiming Naruto, right?
Then I put up the Soundproof Barrier. I learnt it in the dungeon just for that.
- Hello, my little, silly, little brother. Did you miss me?" Naruto smiled and laughed as wide as he could, "Heh-heh, so you missed me. Come here. - I took him in my arms. - Wow! You've grown! It's been almost a year, hasn't it? Soon you'll be older and you'll be able to enter the academy! Then I'll take you away. And if anyone says anything... I'll bury you and never notice! Your brother has become much stronger after two years of training. I don't have the key to the barrier, but even if someone tries to hurt us, I can escape from the Kage himself! I'll take you with me. I'd do that, but life in the village is a lot better than being a Nukenin outside of it. Naruto just smiled the cutest smile as he tried to touch my face. He's just as cute as Itachi was when he was a kid, maybe even cuter. I held him up to my face and Naruto touched my nose with his hand and ran his hand all over my face. Once I was left, I played with Naruto all night, hiding when the guard or the orphanage workers came to check on him. In the morning, I held him in my arms and he fell asleep. And I created a clone with over half of my reserve. He would now be able to create a barrier and play with Naruto more, so I was glad. Next, after removing the barrier, I went home and activated my concealment kombo. When I got home, I created the maximum number of clones and sent one to the academy, but I went to my room and fell into a deep sleep. Still, I have a family too....

The day of the exam.
I woke up in the morning and went to take a bath. After doing my morning chores, I had breakfast and created a hundred clones for Tre...or rather I was going to create one, but then I remembered what day it was. Putting on my clothes, speaking of my clothes. I've been wearing just black shorts and a red t-shirt all the time, but a few days ago, I decided to change my clothes and find something for missions. So now I'm wearing my usual black Shinobi trousers with the Kunai and shuriken pouches, a mesh t-shirt in my size, and a black and red jacket with the Uzumaki clan symbol on the back, unbuttoned. Shinobi sandals, of course. It's just ordinary clothes, but I like it. And to wear bright colours when you're considered a Ninja...we'll have to wean Naruto out of that habit. I went to the academy, so to speak, by the upper paths. Once there, I took a look around the academy. Even though the clones had come here, and I had their memories, it still felt like I hadn't been here in a long time. I went into the classroom for the written exam and sat down at a free desk. The written exam was easy, and next I went to the practical exam. Taijutsu was tested first. I sparred with one of the Chunin Teachers. I sparred with one of the Teachers, Chunin, and did the same as I had done with Itachi when he was sparring, and then I went to the classroom for the Ninjutsu class. They asked me to show Henge, Substitution and Clones. I finished quickly, to which they nodded and said I could go wait for the verdict in the waiting room. There were some senior students taking the exam at the same time as me, but they were unfamiliar to me so I didn't pay any attention to them. Itachi must be taking it later, because I couldn't see him in the crowd. We were then called out by name to the same office. When I was called, I walked into the office and stood waiting for the verdict.
- Menma Uzumaki. All vitals are at the highest level. Passed.- then I was given my protector and congratulated with a long speech about how I was now a Shinobi. I stood in silence for a moment and then thanked and left after being told to come back tomorrow for team assignments. Overall the exam went well, but...boring? I was somehow expecting more from today. But no matter. The main thing was that I was now a full-fledged Genin. Since I was only given the protector itself, I ran to the shinobi shop and bought a black armband there. Afterwards, I put on the full-fledged protector. I felt surprisingly good and decided to celebrate. I didn't know what to do, so I went...to Ichiraku!!! I've never been there before, I don't know why. But it's a local landmark and a must-visit, and today was the perfect day for it. Found the place quickly, I've seen it many times before. I walked in and saw three people sitting in empty seats.
- Welcome! Oh, the owner of the ramen is here. Teuchi. He's one of the few normal people I've seen in anime. I'm grateful to him for being okay with Naruto. I absolutely refuse to take revenge on him. What can I get you?
- Ah...um, what do I want? Ramen? What kind? Yeah, I wasn't thinking. I'd like the same as Naruto's. I'd love to try it, but I don't remember what it's called. Can I have the best dish?
- Sure! Wait five minutes! - Then he started cooking. Then I noticed the top of a girl's head next to him. She was behind the kitchen and when she came out, I could see her. It was Teuchi's daughter, Ayame. Wow, is she my age? Looks like she's helping her father in this ramen. After waiting for five minutes, I was served a single serving of...Ramen?! The same as the others. Hmm, don't tell me.
- Do you have anything else?
- What do you mean? You don't like ramen?
- Hey!!! How can you not like my dad's ramen, who made it so well?!
- Ayame, calm down, you can't talk to customers like that.
- But Dad.
- Um, no. I haven't even tasted it. I mean, is there anything else on your menu that I could order?
- Hmm? We only make ramen, this isn't a restaurant!
- Ayame doesn't--
- Oh, I see. I see. Bon appetit!" and started eating the ramen. It was an awkward situation. They really don't cook anything but that? I thought it was just one of the dishes, but.... Anyway, okay. The ramen itself was delicious and I asked for more, to which Ayame nodded approvingly and Teuchi started cooking. While I was waiting, I was approached by Jonin sitting next to me, who I didn't immediately recognise.
- What's up kid, did you become a Genin today? Congratulations!" he had dark hair in a ponytail, black eyes, and a small beard on his chin. Two scars on the right side of his face. He was wearing a mesh t-shirt with a light brown coloured waistcoat and sleeveless jacket over it. Shikaku Nara.
- Aha! I passed the exam today and I'll be selected for the team tomorrow! - I wanted to keep the conversation going because I was interested in this character.
- Wow, aren't you a little young, kid? How old are you?
- I'm six years old.
- Hmm, are you sure the tread's real?
- It's real, it's real.
- Wow, to pass the Genin exam at such a young age. That's very commendable.
- How old are you?
- Э? Me? I'm 34, why?
- Wow, to pass the Genin exam at such a young age. That's very commendable.
- Ha-ha-ha-ha-ha, are you mocking me?
- That's right. After eating Ramen, we talked about Shinobi life. I asked him about his experiences as a Shinobi, and he asked me about my training. We finished talking towards evening and said our goodbyes.
Hmm, so he's going to be my Sensei on the team. It wasn't hard to guess. He asked too many questions about me for a stranger. Well, all I know about him is that he's a good strategist. I guess he's not a bad teacher. Well, we'll find out tomorrow, and we'll find out about my teammates. I'm already wondering who they are, even if they're just noonaeim who weren't in the anime....
***
The next day I went to the academy on a sprint with a creepy interest! When I entered the auditorium, I saw the guys from my senior year. There was only Itachi and...Sarikawa?!- "Wait, she wasn't supposed to graduate until next year!" she and Itachi were sitting on the same desk, apparently because they were co-religionists. Saki, seeing me, smiled and beckoned me over. Walking over and sitting down with them I asked....
- Um, Saki, what are you doing here?
- Surprised? I was allowed to take the exam like you because I was ahead of my peers!
- Ah, I see. Well, good for you." and he raised his hand and stroked her head with his usual smile, which made her blush a lot more than usual. Oh, right, we're not alone. Everyone stared at us with silence.
- Hello, Menma. How was the exam?
- It was fine, it wasn't too difficult, and you.
- You too. You two seem to know each other. How do you know each other?
- Oh, that's-- I didn't get a chance to finish.
- Hey! Kids! This isn't child's play! You better get out of here if you want to talk! How did you even get into the exam?! And you're talking about passing the exam! Aren't you a bit arrogant for such insects, huh?!" one of the Nooneim came up to me.
- Who did you just call an insect?" Itachi stood up from his chair.
- You want a fight, son of the clan leader?! I'm gonna punch you in the face!
- Stop! Don't fight, Sensei's coming!
- What did you say, Clan Bitch?! I grabbed that guy by the throat and lifted him off the ground.
- A lowlife like you should keep quiet and keep your head down so that you don't get nailed." I looked at him with angry blue eyes and activated a quarter strength Spiritual Pressure. A wave of fear spread through the entire audience, except for Itachi and Saki, whom I didn't direct it at. The guy squirmed in pain for a long time and looked at me with horror. When he started to turn blue, I threw him to the back of the auditorium and he collided with the wall, damaging it a bit. Afterwards, I just sat down silently and continued my conversation with Saki and Itachi. Other than us, no one in the classroom was talking. Everyone just stared at the unconscious guy, afraid to move. Soon the teachers came in and one of them, surprised by the situation in the classroom, picked up the guy and took him to the infirmary. He didn't ask anyone anything, but just silently took him to the infirmary. Isn't that kind of thing common? Well, fuck it. After assigning teams, we were told to wait for our Sensei and left. I was really surprised when we were told about our team. Well, there was an assumption, but I was still surprised. But that's a very good thing. Saki still has a hard time socialising with others, and this way I can help her. And Itachi is a good first mate option for her after me. When half the class had left, Shikaku walked into the office...
- Menma Uzumaki, Uchiha Itachi and Uchiha Sarikawa. I'm your Jonin mentor, follow me." we stood up and followed Sensei, with the class seeing us off with silent stares. Maybe I overdid it. No, no. That guy deserved a lot more than a punch in the wall for what he said. After leaving the classroom and walking to the roof, we sat there by the stairs and Shikaku leaned on the railing and started talking. "So, my name is Shikaku Nara. I'm almost the head of the Nara clan and the Jonin of the Hidden Leaf. I'm 34 years old. I'm married and have a one year old son. I love hanging out at the bar and my family. I don't like to judge women or hurt them in any way. That's pretty much sums me up. I have become your Jonin Mentor and will be until you become Chunin. In order to work as a team and for our future co-operation, we must first get to know each other better. I've told you about myself, now it's your turn. Who would like to? Itachi raised his hand first and began.
- My name is Itachi Uchiha. I am the son of the Head of the Uchiha clan and his heir. I am 6 years old. I love my family and especially my little brother. I also like to train with my clan mate. I don't like war and people dying. I became a Genin early and have little experience in teamwork. Please take care of me.- quite a nice greeting, and why didn't Sasuke go for his brother?
- Okay, now...-and looked at Saki and I with an expectant look. I was about to start, but....
- My name is Sarikawa Uchiha. You can just call me Saki. I'm from the Uchiha clan and I'm 9 years old. I love my parents and I love training with Dai-kun...oh, I mean...Menma-kun.
- It's okay, Saki. Call me as before. You don't mind, do you, sensei?
- Sure. But then we can call you that too.
- No.
- Er...okay.
- Sorry for interrupting, go ahead, Saki.
- H-okay. Mm, I don't like it when Dai-kun doesn't train with me and goes away for long periods of time. I graduated early too, but not like Itachi-kun and Dai-kun. Please take care of me.
- Okay, now you, Menma.
- My name is Menma Uzumaki. To the nearest people, just Daiki. I'm the son of Minato Namikaze and Kushina Uzumaki. I'm 6 years old. I like to train with Saki-chan and sit on Hokage Mountain. "I also love my little, silly, little brother, Naruto. But we'll keep that to ourselves." I don't like it when my loved ones are hurt. Graduated early and I hope we can be friends. Please take care of me.
- I will. Thanks for introducing yourself. We'll meet tomorrow at range 10 at 8:00. Don't be late.
- I will.
- H-okay.
- All right. (chuckles)
The next day, we sparred a little and started teamwork training, Shikaku also shared his experience with us and taught us how to set traps, recognise them, set up camp in the forest and how to conduct infiltration missions, infiltration and the like. Basically, everything we might need as Ninja and shared all the Shinobi experience. And starting with the next one, we started doing missions...weeding vegetable gardens!
