ARIANA'S POV.
I couldn't stop staring at the picture, watching Luke's radiant smile. Some part of me had thought I was the only one who could make him smile. Some part of me had believed he hadn't loved anyone before I arrived, but staring at the picture now, everything felt different.
"When he returns, how happy do you think he'll be to see me? Whatever excitement you provided him will be gone the moment you see him. So, do me a favor, just pack your things, and get out. Having to see your face, and smell your disgusting human scent is getting too much, and I think it's harming the safety of my baby, or do you want Luke to do that for you?"
"Luke can't do that to me."
"Why won't he?" She asked in frustration. "Don't you get that you're a meddling third party?"
Ouch— third party.
"I'm his mate." I said, trying to instill more confidence into my voice.
