It made sense, though. She reminded herself that Prince Adrian wasn't just anyone; he was the kingdom's most important figure, especially with the throne still unoccupied. Of course, the kingdom would mobilize its resources to find him.
As soon as the group emerged, the guards rushed forward, relief visible on their faces. A group of royal physicians immediately surrounded Prince Adrian. Eleanor stepped aside, letting them attend to him, but she was startled when Adrian reached back and took her hand.
"She needs to be checked first," he instructed firmly, his voice leaving no room for argument.
