Four years after the massacre of the Phoenix Clan. During this time Elena and the remnants of her people fled into hiding under the guise of the Veldrin family (formerly the last name of the Phoneix clan being Tatcheton ). Now at 22 years old, Elena stood on the cusp of a momentous event, giving birth to her child 2 years after her wedding. In a small, village tucked deep within the Varlud continent in a small kingdom, this was something that should have been a joyous even but it was overshadowed by a dark fate.
The birthing room was warm, the air thick with the scent of burning herbs made by blessings to help ease her labor. Elena's cries of pain echoed through the space, her grip crushing Noah's hand as he was kneeling beside her. "You're doing great your almost their, Elena," he said, his voice being a mix of encouragement and worry for his wife.
"Take slow and deep breathes focus on your breathing, my dear," her mother, Isabella, urged gently from her other side. Though her tone was soothing, her eyes betrayed the anxiety she truly felt.
Elena gasped, sweat dripping from her forehead her grip on Noah's hand tightening even more as another wave of pain wracked her body.
After one final push, the room was filled with the sound of a newborn's cry. The midwife quickly wrapped the baby in soft cloth and handed her to Isabella, who with her hands trembling handed the child to her daughter.
"It's a boy," Isabella announced to everyone present , but her voice was did not sound full of excitement there was more unease in her voice then happiness.
Elena felt relief and love as she held her son for the first time. But the moment was very short lived. The baby was dearly pale, his tiny frame trembling with shallow, uneven breaths. Nothing should have gone wrong all the checks she had done, they showed that the baby was healthy and she made sure to eat healthy not move to much, to not hurt the baby it didn't make sense.
"What's wrong?" Noah asked, his voice filled with fear and anxiety.
Isabella's brow furrowed as she realised what had happened as she examined the child. "The blessing," she said gravely. "It's gone from Elena to the baby, this shouldn't have happened why would the Phoenix choose a child. The Phoenix's essence… it's too powerful for his body to handle. Especially with the amount of its essence unlike when it was in Elena it's more… powerful."
Elena's grip on her son tightened, tears spilling down her cheeks. She could feel the warmth of the Phoenix's blessing within her fading rapidly, transferring fully to the child. "No… no, he can't…"
"Ther….there has to be something we can do," Noah said his voice full of fear. "He's too weak."
Before anyone could speak, all the candles across the room extinguished. An otherworldly energy and pressure filled the air, and shadows started to flicker ominously along the walls.
A voice echoed in their minds, calm yet commanding "Do not be afraid. I have come to help an old friend."
From the darkness, a majestic figure emerged a being cloaked in shimmering magic that concealed its true form. Its sleek, black body gleamed faintly, its two horns and massive wings radiating an otherworldly presence. It was the Alicorn, the guardian deity of the Xoliti Clan.
Noah instinctively moved to shield Elena and the child, but Isabella stopped him with a firm hand. "It's the Xoliti's guardian deity," she whispered. "This is no enemy."
The Alicorn's glowing eyes scanned the room before settling on the newborn. "The Phoenix, your guardian deity, sacrificed itself for your people. Its essence now resides within this child, the essence went to the child because with the phoneix being dormant, its only instinct is revival it sensed the new life and started to join it to try and revive, but his body is too frail to bear such power. Without intervention, he will not survive."
Elena, despite her exhaustion, mustered the strength to speak. "Please… help him. I'll do anything."
The Alicorn stepped closer, its horns beginning to glow faintly. "I will stabilize his body temporarily. My power will strengthen him for three months at a time. I will return regularly until his fifth year. By then, he must strengthen his body on his own. If he strengthens his body enough and grows into atleast a high or master tier aura user he should be able to survive the reincarnation of the Phoenix through his body. I can not be sure but depending on how much I can slow down the blessings awakening, it can take anywhere from 19-28 years for the Phoenix to reincarnate."
The Alicorn paused, lowering its head closer to the child. "To ensure his survival, I will seal the Phoenix's blessing. If it awakens too soon, it will destroy him. Furthermore, the Phoenix's premature rebirth would alert your enemies, drawing them here. This child's survival is paramount."
The Alicorn touched the infant's forehead with both of its horns. With both horns glowing different colors one color for sealing and one color for strengthening. A soft glow started to envelope the child, his pale skin gaining a faint warmth and his breaths evening out. Elena watched in awe, tears of gratitude streaming down her face.
When the glow subsided, the Alicorn stepped back. "He will survive for now, but his path will be fraught with challenges. Protect him well, for he carries the hope of your clan and the legacy of the Phoenix. I will help the best I can as long as it does not mean endangering my clan to protect yours as people still don't know that my clan hid your identities"
The Alicorn turned its gaze to Isabella and Noah. "You must guard his identity. As long as the blessing remains sealed, his presence will not draw attention. But should the seal break prematurely, the consequences will be dire. Your enemies will be able to locate the Phoenix while it's not in its full powerful I won't be able to hide its energy either as it's being reborn."
Isabella placed a hand on Elena's shoulder. "We will do whatever it takes."
The Alicorn's form shimmered, its presence fading into the shadows. Its final words echoed in their minds: "This child is the key to your future for the clans revival ."
As the room fell silent once more, Elena cradled her son close, whispering his name. "Luis… Luis Tatcheton. Why has the world given you such a hard fate."
Noah knelt beside her, his hand resting gently patting her on the back. "We'll protect him together."
Isabella smiled faintly, her own tears glistening in the dim light. "The Phoenix's legacy lives on."
And so, under the guise of the Veldrin family (Tatcheton), Luis's journey began a fragile ember destined to one day blaze into a powerful flame, carrying the hope and vengeance of the Phoenix Clan on his shoulders.
