Synopsis

Aetherium

_『Aetherium』_

Aetherium, the world of Emperor's Crucible, was devastated by a cataclysm called the Great Displacement. This apocalyptic event brought mana, monsters, people, and other things into the world, causing widespread destruction.

_『Otherworlders』_

People brought to Aetherium by the Great Displacement are called Otherworlders. Upon arrival, each Otherworlder receives a divine blessing, a territory, and a Lord's Seal tied to that territory. They must develop their territory and overcome trials to survive and grow stronger.

_『Trial』_

Trials are divided into two types: Territory Trials and Individual Trials.

-Territory Trials: These trials test the territory itself. If a territory overcomes a trial, both the lord and its people receive upgrades and benefits. Each territory must face ten trials. After the first trial, a territory advances from Unranked to Level 1, and so on.

-Individual Trials: These trials are designed for individuals to increase their personal power. Everyone, whether born in Aetherium or an Otherworlder, starts as Unranked and must undertake trials within the Trial Tower to level up and gain strength. There are ten levels for individual trials, progressing from Unranked to Level 10.

_『Trial Tower』_

After completing its first Territory Trial, a territory receives numerous blessings, including weapons and other valuable resources. Most importantly, it receives a Trial Tower. The Trial Tower is vital, acting as a source of strength and power for the territory. Individuals use it to undergo Individual Trials and increase their power, making it a sacred place. The Trial Tower has ten floors, one for each level of strength.

_『Wanderers』_

Wanderers are individuals without a territory. They are often Otherworlders who lost their territories, or natives who suffered the same fate. Wanderers travel alone, struggling to survive. Some seek new territories to join. Many become adventurers, hunting monsters and selling valuable monster parts, like cores, to territories. Others become merchants, traveling Aetherium and trading goods. Sadly, some become parasites. These despised individuals target weak territories with weak lords, taking control and exploiting the territory for their own gain.

_『Ranking』_

People (including other races in Aetherium) gain power by climbing the ten-floor Trial Tower. Each floor cleared determines an individual's strength.

Here's the ranking system for people:

* F-Rank

* E-Rank

* D-Rank

* C-Rank

* B-Rank

* A-Rank

* S-Rank

* SS-Rank

* SSS-Rank

* Evolved Rank (the highest rank)

Each rank corresponds to a floor of the Trial Tower. Clearing the first floor makes someone an E-Rank (or whatever term their race uses). Clearing the second floor makes them a D-Rank, and so on.

-

Beasts, unlike people and other intelligent races, don't use the Trial Tower. They gain power through evolution. By gathering enough energy and meeting certain requirements, they advance to the next rank, gaining strength and abilities.

The beast ranking system is:

* Feral-Rank

* Rabid-Rank

* Bestial-Rank

* Monstrous-Rank

* Ascendant-Rank

* Mythic-Rank

Each beast rank has two stages: Low/Intermediate and Peak Stage.

『Weapon Ranking』

Weapons are divided into five ranks:

* Common

* Uncommon

* Rare

* Mythic

* Divine

『Territory Ranking』

Territories are ranked from one to ten, with the following divisions:

* Unranked: A territory that has not completed its first trial.

* Ranks 1-3: Village

* Ranks 4-7: Kingdom

* Ranks 8-9: Empire

* Rank 10: Holy Land

『Mana Stone』

Mana stones are crystals tempered in a mana-rich environment, allowing them to store refined mana. Awakened individuals can use mana stones to replenish their energy during combat. Cultivators (a rare group who forego the conventional trial tower and instead undergo arduous cultivation to increase their power) also use mana stones to aid their practice.

Mana stones are classified into four grades:

* Low-Grade

* Mid-Grade

* High-Grade

* Immortal-Grade

『Mana Crystal』

Like mana stones, mana crystals form in areas with high mana density. However, unlike the refined energy within mana stones, mana crystals contain volatile, unfiltered energy that cannot be directly absorbed without risking damage to an awakened individual's mana core. Despite this, mana crystals are valuable for creating arrays. Their rarity makes them even more precious than mana stones.

Mana crystals are also divided into four grades:

* Low-Grade

* Mid-Grade

* High-Grade

* Immortal-Grade
