Chapter 1 - Chapter 1: Experimental Mutant Subject No. 757

"Doctor, the test results for Subject 757 are out."

"What level?"

"Level Two."

"Level Two... so even with full potential unlocked, it can only manage basic telepathy and magnetic manipulation of no more than 50 kilograms?"

"Yes, Doctor. Based on our current research on mutants, that's correct."

"It seems combining the genes of Professor X and Magneto to create the ultimate artificial mutant is, as expected, an impossible task.

End this experiment here. From now on, focus all efforts on the research for X-24. He is our ultimate weapon!"

"Should Subject 757 be disposed of like the previous ones?"

"Keep it alive. Train it alongside the others. After all, it's a fusion of Professor X and Magneto's genes. Even at Level Two, proper development could still yield some usefulness."

"Understood, Doctor."

"Subject 757, strike decisively. Aim for my vital points. Don't hesitate, you piece of trash!"

In the training arena, a burly man wielding a dagger launched a ferocious assault on a youth who looked about seventeen or eighteen.

The youth, while using his abilities to manipulate the dagger for defense and blocking, struggled to find an opening to counterattack with his fists. Clearly inexperienced, he was unable to make effective judgments.

'Compared to Magneto's mastery, my control over magnetism is utterly pathetic,"' the youth thought.

His name was George, a transmigrator. Three months ago, he had awakened in the body of Experimental Subject No. 757, an artificial mutant created through genetic engineering.

His mutant abilities included telepathy and magnetic manipulation.

Unfortunately, his telepathy only worked when the target was completely off-guard, and even then, it could only detect surface-level thoughts, not deep memories.

As for magnetic manipulation, it was even worse.

At best, he could control objects weighing less than ten kilograms. While this could be somewhat useful if applied cleverly, it was laughable compared to Magneto, who could effortlessly lift entire stadiums into the air.

Against ordinary humans, he might manage. But against defensive ability users like Colossus or Emma Frost, he'd stand no chance.

George's current objective was simple: escape this cruel laboratory.

The shrill sound of a bell rang out. A staff member in a white lab coat entered the room, halting the training session and attaching a high-tech device to George's neck.

"Subject 757, it's time for dinner."

"Yes."

George responded stiffly, obediently following the staff member out of the room.

The device on his neck was called a "Mutant Suppressor." Once worn, it completely nullified his abilities, reducing him to an ordinary human.

Outside of training and combat, he was required to wear the suppressor at all times.

As they walked down the long hallway, George noticed other mutants being led out of training rooms by staff.

These mutants were much younger, around twelve or thirteen years old.

'The Marvel world... what a dangerous place,' George sighed internally.

From the moment he realized he was a mutant, George knew he was in the Marvel universe.

Though not a hardcore fan, he had watched enough movies to know the basics. He also understood that the Marvel multiverse was full of peril. Few universes were peaceful; entire realities could be wiped out on a whim.

Still, since he was here, survival was the only option.

'Who wants to die? Life is precious, and if I can, I'd love to live forever.'

Through a month of observation, George deduced that this version of the Marvel universe bore similarities to the timeline of Logan (2017). Among the other mutant children, he had seen Laura—X-23—with her adamantium claws and healing factor.

Strangely, however, the year wasn't 2029 as in the movie; it was 2009.

From overheard staff gossip, George also learned that this universe had Tony Stark, Steve Rogers, and other familiar faces.

'The timeline doesn't matter as long as key events unfold as expected.'

George pinned his hopes on the eventual breakout of the mutant children, as depicted in Logan. According to the plot, a kind nurse would help them escape. If that happened, he would seize the chance to flee this lab.

To maintain his facade of compliance, George ate his dinner in silence and returned to his room to sleep. The lab was under constant surveillance, and he couldn't risk raising suspicion.

Even during training, he intentionally hid parts of his abilities, avoiding excessive incompetence while ensuring he wasn't too capable to be deemed a threat.

Late that night, a sharp, soul-piercing pain jolted George awake. The sensation was brief but intense, leaving him gasping for breath.

When the pain subsided, George found himself in an extraordinary state: he could see through two entirely different perspectives.

One was his own view of the lab room, and the other was from a decrepit little space in an unfamiliar place.

He realized he had gained control of another body—an eleven-year-old boy in a vastly different world.

From the boy's memories, George quickly pieced it together: 'This is the wizarding world of Harry Potter!'

The boy's name was Dorha, an orphan abused by a dark wizard who used him for black magic experiments. Dorha had recently attempted suicide via potion, and George's soul fragment had taken over his body.

To his shock, George discovered that his mutant abilities carried over to this new body. Experimenting, he summoned a metal cup to his hand using magnetic manipulation.

He quickly realized: 'Two worlds, two bodies, shared abilities. This changes everything!'

Plans began forming in his mind as he prepared to harness the unique potential of both worlds to secure his survival—and perhaps more.
