My head pulsates with pain as I try to pry my eyes open, a certain heaviness sitting atop my eyelids. I can hear someone calling my name from afar and I try to answer but my mouth is clipped shut.
"She's awake!" An unfamiliar voice says.
Quick footsteps echo from across the room and seconds later, strong and calloused hands rest on my elbows, kneading them with careful slow touches.
"Eirlys." His voice is barely above a whisper as he calls out to me, caressing my arms.
In one quick motion, I open my eyes, coming face to face with Theron's ethereal features.
His green eyes fixate on me as I look around. The room is strange with grey walls and white roofing. A painting of a cat sleeping in a bushy rug hangs in front of me. Silence and serenity fills the room, with only my breathing the only sound we can hear.
"Are you okay?" His deep velvety voice inquires as he sits beside me on the large bed, caressing my forehead.
