"Jack" A lady in a lab coat is calling for a young man that is rushing through a state of the art research lab.Â
"Yes!" The man calls back ready to receive his order's.
"I need you to bring the liquid nitrogen!" The lady was screaming this time showing how urgent the situation was.
Jack, the young man, was rushing through the lab to the big container of liquid nitrogen and wheeled it towards the women. She instantly grabbed the nozzle and sprayed the nitrogen out onto a small test tube with a miniscule amount of clear liquid in the bottom.
The liquid nitrogen filled up the jar that the test tube was in and quickly cooled the liquid inside the test tube. After a couple minutes of painful silence the lady's serious face changed to one of pure joy.Â
"I finally did it after 15 years! Jack run across the road to the professors dorms and get Professor Harington."Â
Jack sprinted out of the lab and ran down the stairs, skipping multiple steps at a time. With a a vigor that you wouldn't find in someone that hadn't slept in 2 days Jack flung open the exit of the building and continued his mad dash to the lavish building right across from the research center. Before crossing the street he looked both ways.
He made it halfway across the road before he heard a semi-trucks horn blaring and headlights turning on which revealed the truck to be a few feet away from Jack giving him no time to get out of the way and resigning him to a gruesome fate. He was a deer in headlights. All he could think about was the past years that led him to the spot he was now.
Jack was never a amazing student in school and got mediocre grades which were just enough to get into a decent school, but right before he was graduating at getting his diploma his mother, the only family he had left, fell sick with lung cancer that only gave her 2 years to live.
He vowed to get into medical school and get an internship at a cancer cure research facility, which he managed to get after getting 100% on all his university tests. He worked as an intern under the head professor of the research facility and allowed him to help out with the development of the cure.Â
Then after 2 sleepless days of working on the cure the head professor managed to create the cure and had him run across the road to the professors dorms, leading him to the situation he was in currently.Â
Within a second Jack was hit by the truck and thrown into the air by the truck already dead on impact. As his lifeless body laid on the asphalt road the family heirloom, a string with a ring on it, shown with blinding light and quickly faded leaving his corpse to lay on the road until morning.

In a unfamiliar white room Jack awoke he looked all around and eventually down at his body or what should have been his body.Â
"Where are am I and where is my body?!" Jack was in a panicked state when he started to yell, only to be met with a desk appearing right in front of him. In the chair behind the desk sat an old man.
"So you are the next one?"
"The next what?" Jack's mind was scrambling to understand what the mysterious old man was talking about, but it was shortly after that the old man spoke once more.
"You are the next Smith."
Again Jack rummaged through his thoughts to figure out what this meant.
"Ah, I guess you wouldn't know since your father died before he could tell you. The necklace that you wore is more than just a ring. It is a ancient artifact that can reincarnate a soul once, but the necklace can only work on the male heir to the Smith family." The old man stopped his speech to catch his breath but Jack spared no time in asking questions.
"So you mean to tell me that my father is a reincarnator?"
"If you would be so kind as to not ask questions until I am done please."
The old man continued.
"Yes your father was not from your world. Your family spans through many worlds. Every time a new heir is born the necklace is passed down and the cycle repeats. Your family has been reincarnating longer than the planet you lived on has existed."
That means that the necklace had been passed down for more than 4.5 billion years.
"The reason that your family has this heirloom is not a good one. It was created that one day and heir could find a world in which they could become powerful enough to fight back against the gods. The prophecy had said that after billions of years an heir will be reincarnated to a world with another family that is trying to challenge the gods and when the time comes the gods with collapse with their false heavens."
All this information had started to fry his brain which functioned even without it existing.
Suddenly the walls of the space started to collapse which put a panicked expression on the old mans face.
"It looks like I overstepped my boundaries as a helpless spectator. Heed my words child, remember the word 'Lunaris' and with that child I ask that you be safe and I wish you luck. I hope that I will not have to watch another 4.5 billion years worth of reincarnation."
When the old man finished his sentence he started to mutter under his breath and a magic circle appeared below Jack's feet, he tried to move but was unable. The cracks on the seemingly infinite plane grew larger and larger until one of them broke through and revealed and infinite expanse of space, but before Jack could see any more the magic circle flashed and he disappeared from the white plane.
The old man whispered once more.
"You are the one. If you fail the whole universe becomes under their control."
