Chapter 1 - Chapter 1: Will it be a disaster for the world? Or a blessing?

"How long do you think you can keep up?" An ancient voice spoke, Its tone was dreadful, a harbinger of decay.

The speaker was a being which was immeasurable in size and could swallow countless galaxies in one gulp. Its existence was something beyond the understanding of mortals.

"Till you all die." A young man answered nonchalantly.

If one looked carefully, they could see a young man, as tiny as a spec of dust was standing in the void, facing against that entity.

The young man was bathed in blood, his body was full of horrific wounds. A terrifying crack on his forehead which almost made his brain visible. And yet, the young man was full of indifference as if he didn't feel pain.

That wasn't the surprising part, he wasn't just facing one entity.

The young man's smiling gaze swept over the void. He could see creatures that could devour multiple galaxies without even blinking an eye were staring at him full of bloodlust. His tiny body couldn't even fill the gap between their teeth.

Facing against such entities, the young man was carefree, his wounds weren't of any concern at all.

"Do you think you can win?" One of the entity asked.

"What do you think?" The young man asked back.

"Death is your only outcome!" An entity scowled. His scowl alone shattered the fabric of reality like a glass.

"What's the rush? I have yet to start." The young man said with a smile. Then he touched the sword hanging at his waist, gently pulling it out.

And then, everything changed.

One sword light pierced through the void, destroying everything in existence, space and time, Yin and Yang, reincarnation and samsara, all affinities that existed since the beginning of time, even entities who hid behind another timeline, were still cleaved in half.

The sword light was meant for destruction, it was born to destroy the heaven and hell below as if nothing could stop its onslaught. It was an embodiment of annihilation.

"Stop him!" The entities screams resonated throughout the void. Their struggle was futile, the sheer amount of untold destruction could even struck terror in the hearts of immortals.

"Now I know! Who he is!" One entity howled in disbelief, even as its gargantuan form was cleaved in half. The impossible size of its body was nothing in the face of that singular sword light.

"He is the Sword….." Another ancient behemoth recognised the young man but it was too late for regret. His body was scattered to ashes.

After a while everything returned to silence. The sword light that had caused the heavens to weep bitter tears of blood dissipated.

Only the young man was left alone in the void. Even though he was wounded, none of his body parts were intact, still, he stood like a divine spear without even flinching. His wide back looked very lonely and solitary.

The young man sighed as he gently touched the hilt of his sword. "It's about time my friend." His body slowly started dissipating like starlight. Soon, his existence was erased from the river of time.

….

"Wa wa wa." Cry of a small baby echoed through the empty forest.

"Husband can you hear it?" A woman asked the man beside her.

"Yes, i think it's coming from this way." The man answered with a frown as he picked his ear to listen.

"Do you think it's a trap?" The woman asked her husband.

"I am not too sure. But let's not take any risk." The man wanted to turn around and leave with her wife. But his wife pulled him back.

"Husband, what if it's just a baby? How can i be so heartless? I cannot leave like this." The woman said while shaking her head, the intent in her eyes were evident.

The man sighed, he knew his wife couldn't be persuaded with reason. She was a stubborn girl. "Fine, we will take a look."

As they walked through the woods, crying of a baby grew louder and louder.

"Wa wa wa."

"Wa wa wa."

Soon, they found a one month old baby wrapped in coarse clothing, it was a boy, he was crying out loud from hunger. Who knew how long this baby was here for.

"How could someone be so heartless to leave a baby here in such dangerous place!" The woman picked up the baby gently, but her voice contained a trace of fury.

"If you cannot raise a baby then why give birth to one in the first place. Whoever left him here clearly wanted this little one to die." She couldn't help but snort coldly.

"Ying'er everyone has their own difficulties, things might not be what you imagine. Just let it go." Her husband said gently while touching the baby's forehead.

Just as he touched the baby's forehead, a sudden chill ran down his spine. His knees buckled in fear, whole body shivering uncontrollably. He felt a great terror staring at him from the unknown, his very soul trembled in fear. It wasn't fear of death, but something greater.

He jumped, taking a few steps back and falling on the ground. The feeling vanished instantly, it came fast and left just as fast.

"Zhenfeng! What happened." The woman exclaimed, not knowing why her husband would behave like this suddenly.

"This…" Xue Zhenfeng tried hard to say but all he could do was to stutter. His eyes were glued to the baby as if seeing a ghost.

After a moment of silence, he spoke, "Let's return to the carriage and head home first."

Although her wife Yu Xiuying was confused but she didn't say anything else.

….

Twelve Years passed by in the blink of an eye.

A man was sitting on the highest seat of the grand hall. Even though he didn't release his aura, one could still the pressure emitted by him.

"How is he?" The man asked, his voice neither slow nor hurried.

"Reporting my lord, he is the Same as ever. Watching those flowers." Someone in black robe suddenly appeared like a gust of wind and bowed his head.

"Hmm… you can go. Continue to report me, take notice of even the tiniest details." The man said.

"Yes, my lord." The person in black robe vanished.

When the person in black left, the man in the hall stood up slowly. His figure was stalwart, giving off a strong mascular vibe. Standing in front of the window, his gaze stretched far away into the horizon.

"Will it be a disaster for the world? Or a blessing?" His voice was barely audible as he said this.Â
