A few minutes ago, the battle between Lucas and Tenebris, also known as Evan, was raging on. It was a one-sided battle due to Evan's higher stats points.
Tess, who was worried about Lucas, came out of the restaurant and started looking around to see if she could find him.
While searching, she heard the sounds of swords clashing. Curious about who could be fighting in such an inner area, she began to look around. She found a dark alley from which the sound was emanating.
Just as she was about to check it out, she saw a flame, like a slash in the alley.
She could only see a bit, but it was enough for an archer like her. She saw two figures fighting inside the alley. One was someone she didn't recognize but she did recognize the person kneeling before him. It was Lucas.
Her eyes filled with shock and then anger as she saw Lucas kneeling in front of the man, who was about to strike him.
"LUCCASSSS~~~!" she shouted, calling upon her bow and nocking an arrow. She shot the man, whose attention was caught by her shout.
Evan tried to deflect the arrow with his sword, but the power behind it was too much. It passed through his shoulder, cutting some flesh below skin.
He backed away, and Tess didn't wait. She started rapidly shooting arrows at him.

She used two of her skills, one which helped her shoot arrows rapidly, and the other boost the speed of the arrows with the wind element.
Several arrows rushed at him as he backed away, using one of his skills to blend into the shadows.
[Shadow Leap], the skill he got from the beginner mini-boss, allowed him to disappear while still being present, trying to find an advantage to kill Lucas and get away with his body to use the plunder and memory devour skills of his mask.
He then decided to take the risk, waiting to let them think he was gone before attacking.
He hid behind a corner in the alleys and waited as Tess, ready to shoot another arrow, waited and waited but found no one. She thought the attacker had hidden or run away.
She then carefully approached Lucas, who was lying on the ground, and tried to sit him up.
She found that his belly area was damaged from the blade attack. She saw that the area was recovering, but the recovery was slow, and blood loss could danger his life. She was about to call Ilya with her phone to heal him when something happened.
Evan, who was hiding to let her guard down, shot his two trusted skills at them to finish the matter. He was even ready to dash away, even if he had to showcase his identity by showing her his skills like the Phantom Horse.

Before he could lower his hand, which was hurting due to the loss of blood from various cuts over his body, he noticed a hidden attack coming toward him. His luck was either good or something else intervened, as the bone fang strike that was supposed to hit his skull pierced through his hand, causing him to scream in agony.
Tess, upon seeing his hand pierced by a bone fang, became enraged. She called upon her bow and used her skill, which people acquire at level 50 if they have an above C-grade class. This powerful skill demonstrates the true strength of the class and the between higher and lower grades.
[Arrows of Whisperers], several arrows formed by wind above her, and with a single flick of her hand, they began to fall upon the area from where two skills originated. Evan, who was hiding, had no choice but to leave as Tess was now serious about fighting until the end. He knew he would definitely lose if others arrived and even Lucas got healed then he is doomed. His only option was to retreat and devise another plan.
He appeared in front of them, and Tess, who was ready to launch another attack, was shocked see him running away after such an assault. "I WILL COME BACK, TO HARVEST YOUR SOUL, LUCAS. JUST WAIT FOR YOUR TURN," Evan said as he vanished into the shadows with his skill, [Shadow Leap], disappearing before another set of arrows could fall upon him.
Several minutes later, Tess finally lowered her guard slightly, still prepared to battle to protect Lucas, who lay on the ground covered in his blood. Other hunters and people arrived to see what had transpired as Ilya was also present in the crowd who when saw the commotion caused here is with her party members she rushed toward them.
When she saw Lucas's condition, she immediately attempted to heal him, but as she was not a high-level Healer, she and the others could only wait for the ambulance to arrive. Lucas, seeing this, seized the chance to try his luck and awaken the hidden potential of Ilya, which had been dormant since her awakening. This was the reason he included her in his team in which her Class being A rank was also one; he needed his crew members to possess something special.
