The night started like any other, or so the neighbours thought. It started off quite and then a child started crying, screams off horror was heard and lights could be seen flashing from the house mainly white and what looked like a dark maroon. The house was being broken from the back to front, from the inside to the outside, piece by piece, from the boy's nursery to the furthest point of the kitchen. All that was a house has been broken to the ground. All life was thought to be dead. The child was quite, almost dead like, or so was thought. The man went back to his lord to tell him the boy was killed; only it was not true.
The boy was fetched from his home by a man who looked quite scary and brought him to the only family he has left, The Thompsons. The headmaster would meet them there. Headmaster Lee made sure the boy was going to family instead of his godfather. Professor Hughes was also there only in her shifted form.
"Professor?" Headmaster Lee asked "Are you checking up on me now?" knowing very well she did not agree with his decision to send the boy to his family instead of one of the many willing wizarding families who is not afraid of James Miller or better known as The Black Lord. She shifted back to her human form and responded with "Why are we leaving him with these people? I have been watching them and they are very self-centered people. Do you really think leaving him with these people is a good idea?" looking very concerned and anxious about leaving the boy with these people. "Why do you not trust my judgment with where to place the boy?" Ignoring him she rather asks him where the boy is. "Jules is bringing him." Was all she got out of him. As the two of them were walking a car landed behind them with Jules and the boy in it. "Jules, the boy?" Professor Hughes asked and Jules answered back softly "Here, the boy is safely tucked away against me." The Scottish man replied while showing them the baby he had safely tied in cloth to his body. The boy was fast asleep. It looked like nothing was going to be able to wake him.
As they grew closer to the Thompsons house, Hughes grew silent being even more concerned about leaving him here with his family unprotected and with no idea of the trouble that awaits him as he grows older. They leave the boy on the doorstep of the Thompsons home with a note giving them the boy's name and that they are his only family left on this earth. The note reads as follow:
To my lovely sister, Isabella Thompson. Dear sister, how I have missed you, if you have received this note that means I am dead and you have been given custody of Evan Stevens , your nephew, my son. I am so sorry we could not reconcile before mydeath and had to find out this way that you have a newphew. Please keep him safe. I trust you to take care of him.
-Love your baby sister Clarissa Stevens.
The bell rings and the baby cries. The adults all stand and wait for somebody to come out to get the baby. The door opens and there stands Isabella looking down at the baby looking confused. She picks up the note and begins reading it. As she reads her face goes from confusion to utter horror to shock and finally sadness is seen. She picks up the baby as her husband comes to the front door to see what is taking so long. He sees his wife in tears and looks between her, the child and the note in her hand and asks her what's wrong, her reply shocks him. "Clarissa's dead. This is her baby and she wants us to raise him."Â Her cries only getting louder with every word being spoken and every sentence makes her knees grow even weaker. "Clarissa is dead and I didn't even know she was married. She left Evan to us, so that we can raise him here with us." Every syllable growing shakier than the next. "Mason, what are we to do with two infants? How are we going to raise both of them and make sure this one's magic does not act up?" Mason had no reply for his wife. He had no idea what to do and the headmaster and Jesse's work for the night was not done yet, for Clarissa Stevens had another child, Evan's twin sister, Jaime Stevens, the hidden twin. Jaime will know she has a brother, because Headmaster Lee wants it that way, but Evan will not know of his sister until Wyatt Lee decides it is time for them to meet.
On the other side of town Jaime Stevens was left with a wizarding family, a family that at first glance looks like people who will only take care of their own, but turns out to be abusive and uncaring. She grows up not knowing what love is, growing cold with hate. As the years go by Clarissa seems to grow more cold-hearted, that's until she meets her twin brother, Evan.
Somewhere else in the world, somewhere dark and cold, a place no-one knows about, James Miller has hidden his heir and his spares from the world. The heir, Jason Hades Miller and his younger twin brother, Matthew Ares Miller and younger sister Annabelle Athena Miller were to all hide as Headmaster did not want it known the Black Lord had conceived children, but in exchange they would go to Yegiths, Academy of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Although that's not the only thing James Miller is hiding, Annabelle is half siren and half witch and the twins, well let's just say you are about to find out just how ruthless James really is.
George Sweeney is one of seven children and grew up very poor, but very loved. He is the second youngest of the seven. He also becomes Evan's best friend and closest confidant. He has known love since he was born and grew up trying to be accepted by everybody that is not family, he wanted out but never got an out from his family. He grew up hating all his siblings, even when his eldest two siblings had left the house, Even though he hated his big family he never wanted anything because somebody always made sure he had everything, whether it was his mother or his father or even his eldest brothers, they always provided him with what he needed and wanted, and shown him how much they will always love him.
Now Jaime's best and only friend, a girl that's only focus was school until meeting Jaime and Evan, her name is Ophelia Artemis James. Ophelia was born into a non-wizarding family or rather a family whose wizarding power has gone dormant in their blood until she born. Her parents, one a surgeon and the other a psychiatrist, both could not explain what was happening to her until her grandmother told them of the wizard blood flowing through their veins. She was loved by both her parents and vowed to show Jaime just how loved she really is.
Hidden away in the darkest part of Romania lives one of James's most loyal followers or that is what he lets people believe. He was one of James's first followers, first supporters for his cause to take over the world. His name is Anghel Zeus Bortenachi. Bortenachi and his wife Luna had two children, the eldest being a boy with the name Aiden Ladon Bortenachi and his younger sister Nova Lyra Bortenachi. Aiden and Nova are both very spoiled and loved by their parents and hate children born from non-wizards. But as they grow up they learn not everything is as it seems. In fact the brightest witch of their age will be Aiden's age.
What happens when these unlikely groups of siblings meet on the first day of school and how do they keep from killing each other? How long can they stand on the line between war and love itself when heartbreak is all that this their story could end with? Or is it? Follow Evan and his friends and enemies through this series of love, hate, disappointment and tragedy and see where it leads them.Â
