CHAPTER 14
"Don't move. Or I'll let you roll off the stairs." He started on their way up again.
"Oh, please try it. I can land on my own safely." She couldn't help but retort to him.
"I know, general." She can feel his voice vibrate in his chest. She did not protest anymore and just hugged herself with the blanket. His warmth was enough, though.
She felt sleepy, but her stomach was hurting with hunger. She hadn't eaten anything, and she wondered where she could get herself food.
"I'm hungry. Do you have food?" She asked. She was somehow confident that he wouldn't poison her.
Vex was surprised that she asked him politely. And she trusted him that he wouldn't feed her poison. "Yes." He answered.
Rizika recalled how many gold coins she had on her chest. Maybe it was enough to pay for her food. Then she thought Earth might have different kinds of money. She'll find that out later.
