Chapter 11 - New partner

"If there is really another animal here, it will be injured if I find it and kill it, maybe I can get something useful from it, and anyway I should try to get as many resources as possible right now." So that I don't get into any more trouble for level up my both class"

With this, Aaron started probing the area around him thoroughly so that he could find any traces, only then he saw some traces of blood in front of him as before and he started following that trail of blood, as he While moving forward, the amount of blood also started increasing, due to which he guessed that the animal was somewhere nearby and it might not be in a condition to fight. After walking some distance he finally saw something.

"Found it, but which animal is it, it is not clearly visible because of the bushes around it. Oh God, please give me something useful."

The animal was about 250m from the Aaron. He was far away and at the same time he could not see the animal clearly as it was covered by bushes, so he decided to go closer to him. As he was approaching it, the animal was starts moving, which made Aaron more alert, now he was moving carefully and his sword was in his hand. After some time when he was only 20 m from that animal that was the time when that animal decides to attack Aaron and than the animal attacked Aaron and threw a fireball towards him, but Aaron was also fast, he quickly put his right arm on the ground and jumped to his right side and that fireball hit a tree behind and that tree was burnt to ashes. Done, when Aaron saw this his ground got spoiled. He can feel cold chill inside his bones.

The creature was unlike anything Aaron had ever seen before. The flame deer had a sleek, elegant physique, its fur shimmering with an ethereal orange glow, like molten metal in the sun. Its large antlers burned with a gentle flame, casting flickering shadows on the ground as it moved. As Aaron prepared his sword for a counterattack, he felt a mixture of fear and awe towards the extraordinary creature before him.

The deer charged again, its agility almost supernatural. It maneuvered through the underbrush, gracefully dodging Aaron's attempts to strike. With each leap, it left small flames in its wake, igniting patches of grass beneath its feet. "This thing is too fast," Aaron thought, frustration bubbling inside him. He had to find a way to outsmart it.

Spotting a cluster of large rocks nearby, he quickly raced towards them, hoping to use them as cover. The flame deer, momentarily surprised, hesitated before regrouping and launching another fireball. Aaron ducked just in time, the fiery projectile singeing the air above him and exploding against the rocks with a loud crack. The blast sent him sprawling backward into the dirt, but he quickly rolled to his feet, adrenaline pumping.

Breathing heavily, he took a moment to assess the situation. "I can't keep dodging forever," he thought. If he could just tire the creature out, perhaps it would become vulnerable. He decided to feign an attack, drawing the deer's attention before quickly retreating behind cover again.

The flame deer, still on the offensive, took the bait and charged at him. Aaron waited until the last moment, then dashed to the side, narrowly avoiding another fireball that erupted against the rock face. This time, he noticed a shift in the deer's movements; it was becoming fatigued, its fiery steps slightly slower.

"Okay, let's try this," Aaron thought, channeling his determination. He slid out from behind the rocks, sword raised high, and charged at the deer. As it turned to face him, he thrust his sword forward more as a warning than a real attack, hoping to scare it off.

To his surprise, the flame deer reared back, its fire flickering in hesitation. This feeling of fear was new to it,and Aaron saw this as an opportunity. "Now or never," he muttered to himself, closing the gap quickly.

He swung again, this time with purpose, aiming for a vulnerable spot on its neck. The sword made contact, and flames flickered chaotically as the deer let out a piercing cry. Aaron hadn't expected the deer's skin to be so tough; his sword seemed to bounce off rather than cut deeply. Nevertheless, the deer staggered away, clearly in pain.

Breathing heavily, Aaron pushed forward, keeping the weight of battle on his shoulders. "There's got to be something about this creature I can exploit," he thought. He observed the way it moved the agility was there, but the grace he'd seen earlier was diminishing. The flame deer's flames flickering less intensely, as if the fight was draining it not only of energy but of its very essence.

"Let's see if I can slow you down," he whispered to himself. Aaron took a deep breath and steadied his sword, preparing for another attack. This time, instead of charging straight at it, he employed a more strategic approach. He feigned to the left, then suddenly swerved to the right, closing the distance between them once again.

As the flame deer prepared another fireball, Aaron swung his sword low, aiming to trip it. His blade connected with the deer's foreleg, causing it to stumble. It was enough to throw off its attack, and the fireball shot harmlessly into the air, bursting into a shower of sparks.

Seizing the moment, Aaron lunged forward, pushing his weight against the deer and forcing it to the ground. The searing heat enveloped him, but he held on tight, his sword pressed against its neck. "I'm sorry, but I need something from you," he panted, the oppressive heat making it hard to breathe.

In this moment, a strange feeling washed over him, overpowering the adrenaline and fear. He saw the pain in its eyes, realizing that they were both merely creatures fighting for survival in this hostile environment. He didn't want to kill it but instead to subdue it long enough to gather what he needed.

A glimmer of hope flickered in his mind. There had to be a way to harness the flame deer's power without ending its life. "If I can just extract some of that elemental essence," he thought, "perhaps I can use it as a resource."

With renewed determination, Aaron focused his mind on channeling his own energy. He'd heard tales of those who could bond with elemental creatures, forming a symbiotic relationship. "I need you to cooperate with me," he murmured, staring into the deer's fiery gaze. "Help me, and I'll spare you."

To his surprise, the flame deer seemed to relax slightly, its fiery glow calming as its breath slowed. "That's it," he urged gently, tightening his grip but not in malice. "Let me help you."

In response, the deer exhaled a plume of fire, but this time it was directed upwards, not aimed at Aaron. It pulsated around them, creating a warm, comforting barrier that felt almost peaceful. He focused on the energy radiating from the creature, visualizing a connection forming between them.

Gathering every ounce of determination and willpower, he let his sword glow with a light that mirrored the deer's flames. Slowly, he began to draw the fiery essence from the deer, feeling the warmth surge through his veins. It was an exhilarating experience; he knew he was forging a bond, a union of power that could benefit them both.

As the essence flowed into him, the flame deer seemed to weaken but not in pain - rather, it became serene, as though sensing that they were achieving something greater together. Suddenly, an explosion of light enveloped them both. Aaron squinted against the brightness, feeling a rush of power unlike anything he had ever tapped into before.

When the light dissipated, the deer lay on the ground, still glowing but exhausted. Aaron staggered back, feeling the weight of the elemental energy within him. He realized he had succeeded in extracting some of the essence, but he also felt the terrible weight of the creature's fatigue. "I'm sorry," he said softly, kneeling beside the flame deer. "I didn't want this to happen."
