Chapter 2 - Chapter 2

The school bell rang in anticipation as the school hallway became busy, Alex was packing up his books to leave the class, and when he got to the hallway, he walked gracefully, with all eyes staring and fingers admiring, whispers engulfed the atmosphere, 'he's damn hot',' I love him so much', they all whispered as he passed by, just then his eyes glanced on the same eyes he gazed on in church, taking a full glance he walked up to the person, he was already enveloped with anger. "hey!" he said standing behind the figure as he held the person arm from the back and turned him around, his green eyes were as sparkling as crystal water, his face was smooth, his hair was quite messy but thick brown," what's up" the guy said, " I need to talk to you" Alex added with a sincere look," okay" he guy added before exiting the hallway with Alex in front of him, all faces were stunned." What your name, if I may ask" Alex said trying to cool his temper before raging, "Well, I'm Gabriel and you are?" Gabriel said with a cunny smile on his face, "You don't need my name, Gabriel, after what you did, huh!" Alex added, " I did nothing," Gabriel said, "Have you forgotten what you did in church yesterday, as you kept on staring at me constantly, it was damn weird" Alex stated, " Well, but you can blame me, you were the one staring back" Gabriel said, " really, is that what you have to say, now Fr. Charles suspended me for a four Sunday service, all because of you" Alex was angry already, despite knowing that Gabriel was meant to be remorseful at least, " well, sorry, but I have to go" Gabriel drooped the bomb before storming off, " like for real" Alex stood there wondering what just happened to him at that moment, he just shook it off his head and left back to his dormitory.

The day was mild and calm, and the room was empty, Alex sat on his bed, his eyes gaze on a book as he was absorbing and understanding the words, footsteps were approaching him, but he was too glued to his book he didn't even notice the tap on his shoulder, " Alex" the voice said, as Alex came to back and stared at the figure beside him, " And what do you want, Gabriel" he said with a sarcastic expression, " I'm here to apologize sincerely," Gabriel said with a wryly smile on his face, Alex stared at him for a moment to see if he was serious about it , he sighed, then Gabriel sat beside him, glaring at him for some while, Gabriel said, " I'm really sorry for what happened in church some days day ago, and I hope you forgive me?" with an apologetic facial expression, " fine, I forgive you, I'm not mad at you anymore" Alex said adding a cute smile,, just then the atmosphere was warm, as both gaze locked into each other for some while, before Alex broke the mid-air silence, " are you up for some snacks", " yeah sure, I'm hungry" Gabriel added, after some while there were already on their tracks to the school cafeteria, while dressed in the school sports wear, a short red Nikka and bogus red shirt, Alex was hot in that, Gabriel admired in his mind, as they kept on striding to the cafeteria, they started getting along bit by bit.

Arriving at the large cafeteria, "What would you like to take? "Alex asked politely," well a sausage roll and drink will do" he replied, Alex turned to the lady behind the counter, and he ordered, two sausage rolls and a drink. Alex and Gabriel sat across from each other in the cafeteria, the hum of conversation and clinking utensils filling the air. As they waited for their food, Gabriel's eyes locked onto Alex's, a sly smile spreading across his face. Alex's cheeks flushed as Gabriel's gaze lingered, his eyes sparkling with mischief. After some minutes the waiter brought their snacks for them, placing them on the wide circular table in between them. Suddenly, Gabriel reached across the table to reach the bottle of water and his fingers brushed against Alex's hand. Alex noticing the slight touch, just smiled and stared at Gabriel with a short gaze. As they continued eating, the tension between them was palpable, the air thick with unspoken attraction.
