With the infusion of Morax's power, Jallen, who had been sleeping, suddenly felt a warm current flowing through his body.

This... feels good.

The warmth spread throughout him, lasting for more than half an hour.

Jallen slowly opened his eyes.

What he saw first was a hand, injecting golden energy into his body. Following the hand, his gaze drifted upward to its owner...

"Morax..."

Wait.

Why does this person look so familiar?

Though he wore a white robe, Jallen recognized him immediately.

Isn't this... the Geo Archon? Morax, the god of Liyue?

"You're awake," Morax said, his voice deep and resonant. "I passed by and noticed something unusual. When I came closer, I found you unconscious on the ground."

"Why did you harm your own essence just after you were born?" he asked, a hint of confusion in his tone.

Jallen blinked. Was he talking about... the incident?

That wasn't... he hadn't intended to damage his origin. He'd simply overextended himself.

But, there was no need to explain the full truth. Jallen could feel his essence wasn't in too bad of a state. The damage would heal in about ten years.

How should he answer, though?

Jallen took a deep breath. "I... wanted to give myself a body. I got too greedy, and I ended up consuming too much of my essence by accident."

He weakly gestured at himself. "I didn't think it would harm me this much..."

Morax regarded him silently, pondering.

He couldn't understand how an Archon—someone with power like Jallen's—would damage their own essence for something as trivial as a physical form. It seemed... foolish. But then again, perhaps there was some reasoning behind it that Morax could not yet grasp.

"You are... an interesting one," Morax said after a moment. "Newly born Archons don't typically harm themselves like that."

Jallen could sense the underlying curiosity in Morax's voice. This was the era before the Archon War, where the gods weren't yet fighting for their survival.

Perhaps this could be an opportunity for Jallen. If he could align himself with the Geo Archon, it would provide him with stability in this chaotic world.

Morax continued, his voice still firm but warm. "The world is full of dangers. How about you come with me to my territory? I don't mean to be abrupt, but I believe it would be in your best interest."

Jallen could sense the sincerity in the Archon's words. The idea was tempting. If he were to survive in this era, forming alliances would be crucial, especially with someone as powerful as Morax.

"Thank you for offering your help," Jallen replied quickly, standing up with a nod. "Without you, I might have remained unconscious for much longer."

His words were genuine. Morax, the Geo Archon, was a significant figure—someone Jallen could learn from and follow.

"I believe you have no ill intentions," he added. "My name is Jallen. I am still learning about the world."

Morax's eyes softened as he listened, taking in the young Archon's words. "Jallen, huh? It's a fine name."

"Follow me," Morax said. Without waiting for a response, he lifted himself into the air, the ground beneath him rumbling as if resonating with his power.

Jallen hesitated. He didn't know what Morax meant by "follow," and he wasn't sure how to keep up.

"Wait, how do I follow you?" Jallen asked, his voice trailing off.

Morax looked down at him, his expression puzzled. "What do you mean? You can't fly?"

Jallen blinked. "Fly?" he asked, perplexed. "Should I be able to fly?"

Morax's face softened, and he realized the truth. Jallen was new to this world, still learning his powers as an Archon. "I see. You're still unfamiliar with some things. No worries."

Morax extended a hand, and a sphere of golden light formed above his palm. "Here. Take this."

Jallen took the sphere without hesitation, sensing the power radiating from it. When he absorbed the golden light, his mind suddenly flooded with knowledge. He now understood the application of divine power for flight, as well as its broader uses in the world.

Morax watched him carefully, awaiting his reaction.

Jallen felt the change within him, and with a deep breath, he concentrated. Slowly, he began to lift off the ground, his feet hovering just above the dirt. He couldn't help but smile.

"Well, that's better," Jallen muttered to himself.

Morax nodded. "Now you're ready. Let's go."

With a final nod, Jallen followed Morax into the sky, ready to start his journey.
