SLASH!
A razor-sharp breeze hit the giant snake, slashing its body in half with deafening crunch.
"HUH?!"
Carfeld's body froze in place after he saw the snake's body splitting between him, bathing his own body in black colored blood.
'W- what happened..' He thought.
It was gross, the black blood from that snake was surprisingly sticky and hard to clean off, usually Carfeld should be glad right now because his life just got saved, but instead he was even more worried than before.
'Im so fucking dead.. What monster is capable of instantly killing that snake?!, whatever it is, that thing is near me, and im not sure if i will be able to survive this time..'
Carfeld stood up and immediately grabbed his sword, he looked around and observed everything that his eyes catches, even just a slight movement at the corner of his eyes will alert him.
'My energy and stamina.. Im afraid it would only last for a few minutes before i fainted from exhaustion...' He thought.
Carfeld held his swords tightly in his hands, he held it so tight that he could feel his palms skin being peeled off beneath the armor, but that kinds of pain is not something that he should be focusing on, what lies ahead around him is more important than a small injury.
Just then, a movement was caught at the corner of his eyes, Carfeld quickly turned his head to the location where he saw the movement, and to his surprise, it was not an illusion, there was really something there, except its not what he had expected.
Thud..
Thud...
Thud....
A person appeared from behind one of the giant tree, it was Sylias, she then slowly walked to Carfeld, closening the gap between eachother while he shouts at her to stop.
"STOP!! WHO ARE YOU!?! HEY!!"
'Why is there another human in here!? no.. She's a demihuman.. But that is still not making any sense!— Who is she.. Don't tell me..'
Carfeld didn't back down, he kept holding his stance and cautiously watch Sylias's movement, whether she is an enemy or not, the moment she tried to attack him, Carfeld would be ready to strike back.
"You're not supposed to be here." Sylias said.
"Huh!?— O- oh, y- yeah, that's correct.. I got lost and accidentally arrived in this place, W- who are you!?"
"This has become a little bit troublesome, i dont plan to meet with any human right now, but now you're here– What should i do."
"You! are you the one that just killed this giant snake?"
"Hmm? Yes, that's correct."
"Haha.. Alright."
Suddenly, a loud roar was heard from behind Carfeld.
ROAAAARR!!
It sounded like a mix of lion and a dragon roar, from how loud the sound was, it seems like this creature is way closer than what Carfeld expected.
'WHAT WAS THAT!?' He thought.

From the distance, Carfeld saw a chimera charging towards him with its glowing eyes, a chimera is a type of beast where it has an appearance of a lion but with bat wings and snake tail, one would assume that this monster could fly, but because of how small its wings are compared to its body, the only thing a chimera could do with its wings is gliding its body for a brief moment.
"CHIMERA!!" Carfeld screamed.
The chimera roared again and this time it is clearly roaring towards Carfeld, if he doesn't move or act right now, he will be a dinner for that chimera.
"SHIT, RUN!"
Carfeld ran as fast as he could with his sore legs, but before he could even make his way past Sylias, the chimera had already arrived, the beast lunges itself into the open area and locked its eyes onto Carfeld.
'THAT THING IS WAY FASTER THAN THE SNAKE.. WE'RE DOOMED!'
The situation looked incredibly dire and hopeless, that's what Carfeld thought, he couldn't see any way out of this without being killed or eaten alive, the inside of his armor are flooded with sweats and he watches as that chimera lift its massive claws up, preparing for an attack.
'NOO!'
Carfeld shouted in his mind, he fell to the ground and closed his eyes, he was waiting for the chimera's claw to cut him in half, but that moment never came, instead when he opens his eyes, he saw that very same chimera frozed in place, its claw is still above its head, that chimera was really trying to kill Carfeld before it got stopped by an unknown force.
That's when Carfeld realized that the chimera was not looking at him anymore, instead its eyes were directed to Sylias.
'W- what....' He thought, confused and bewildered.
"Get down."
Sylias commanded the chimera, her index finger pointing at the beast's face before moving it down to its leg.
At first Carfeld didn't believe what he just saw, his brain couldn't believe what Sylias just said, commanding a chimera? That is an extremely stupid thing to do and is unheard of.
'N- no way right..' Carfeld thought.
However, in the end, it was his jaw that dropped to the ground, as moments later, that chimera actually obeyed Sylias's command and sat down like a cat that is trying to relax.
"Good"
The chimera stayed on that position for a while, its face is clearly indicating a sign of fear, there was a slight whimpering sound coming out of that beast as it was forced to obey Sylias, Carfeld didn't know it but this chimera certainly know that Sylias is way more dangerous than she look, despite her cute appearance, inside of her lies an endless amount of power that could possibly create a catastrophe if it were unleashed.
"J- JUST WHO ARE YOU!!" Carfeld screamed towards Sylias, demanding answers as soon as possible.
The power that she showed so far was proven to be extremely abnormal and terrifying, Carfeld cannot begin to understand where did such being come from and how are they exist in this world.
'I HAVE TO REPORT THIS!! I NEED TO SURVIVE!!' He thought.

Carfeld then quickly stood up from the ground and immediately ran away, distancing himself between Sylias and that chimera, he thought that Sylias might spare him since the first time they met, she saved his life, but regardless of what her personality is, that power she has cannot be kept on a secret.

BOOM!
Sylias casted her magic and multiple pair of hands began shooting out of the magic circle on her left side, the dark purple hands chased Carfeld, in an instant they all appeared at the top of his head, Sylias then commanded the hands to crush Carfeld into the ground and paralyzed him, creating a dust explosion that send shockwaves to the surrounding.
"Go." Sylias said to the chimera, who then starts to run into the wilderness once again, disappearing from her sight.
The abyss hands then picked up Carfeld's head and brought his body to Sylias, fortunately the impact that he received aren't enough to make him go unconcious, but it still left a pretty significant injury to his body, at the moment, Carfeld couldn't move his legs or arms at all.
"Im guessing you're some sort of a knight right?" Sylias asked, staring at Carfeld's armor and the Latricia Kingdom Symbol engraved at the chest.
"Cough.. what do you want..."
"I'll get straight to the point, im going to spare you, since i don't plan on killing knights.. Yet, but i can't just let you go when you've seen everything that has happened here."
Sylias reached out to her abyss hands and many of them started to move in a different direction, they're all searching for something, a few moments later, one of the abyss hand came back with an insect, it has an appearance similar to a beetle, with pink dots pattern and shiny body.
"This little creature is a Poisonous Beetle— You probably know what it will do from the name alone."
"W- what are you trying to do.."
Carfeld's eyes shriveled at the thought of what Sylias would possibly do to him using that beetle, he tries to fight back and moved his arms but it was no use.
"Since i have poison resistance, i couldn't test the effect myself, but i've experimented with other creatures, like chimeras for example.. Or a deer, and from what i can tell is that, once a living being get exposed to this beetle's poison, they will enter a state of bliss and wandered around the place for a few minutes— And you know what happened after they were released from the effect? The deer and chimeras forgot about it– This poison also has the capability to wipe out memories."
Sylias smiled after seeing Carfeld's reaction to the beetle, she then continue explaining about the effect to him...
"Depending on how much poison is given, the memory that will be wiped will also become stronger, im afraid if given the correct dose, it could wipe out an entire day of memories, so.. Let's forget about those 15 minutes alright?"
Sylias then moved the beetle close to Carfeld's face, she positioned the beetle with its head facing Carfeld before poking it with her fingers, the beetle, sensing that it might in danger, began to activate its defensive mechanism, the beetle then shoots out the poison liquid from its butt, like a bombardier beetle on earth.
The liquid sticks to Carfield's face and since the liquid that came out of the beetle spreads in a certain radius, Carfeld's entire face soon was covered in poison, and that poison also started to seep into his skin.
