"All of you, hold your spear tight." Said Captain Jade.
Eldi and his comrades followed the captain's instruction and raised their awareness, something will be happening soon, and they don't want to be the first one to die.
Slowly but surely all of them entered the room, Eldi had no choice but to get used to this disgusting smell, his nose shriveled, his mind raced, whatever things that they might come across inside, he will surely not be able to expect it.
"Urgh.. shit.."
When he arrived inside the room, Captain Jade's lantern revealed something incredibly sickening that as soon as they saw it, everyone except Captain Jade gagged, Eldi felt like he was gonna throw up at the sight of the atrocities infront of him.
'Gahh!!.. Urghh.. Ah- ah, what the fuck is this..' Eldi thought.
Inside of that room, there are approximately 8 mutilated corpse that has been torn beyond recognition, all of their intestines were scattered all across the floor, it is impossible to know which organ belong to who, the reason why they knew it was approximately 8 corpse is because of the human skin that were hanged by a chain at the side of the room, the skin had a lot of blood stains in them, whoever did this to those unfortunate victims have most likely tortured them.
Beside those human skins, there is a table beneath the hanging skin, and on that table, laid out neatly, is what seems to be the skeleton of these victims, and just when they thought it couldn't get any worse, the skeletons weren't connected to each other anymore, instead they are categorized with the same body parts as all of the other victims.
It was horrible, inhumane, and most importantly, sad, to see what happened to these poor soul.
Eldi furrowed his eyebrows in disgust, despite knowing that being a guard means he must be ready to face any situation, that doesn't mean he can't be disgusted and felt sympathy for those who have died.
"Would you look at that, we found the mysterious kidnapper's hideout, and also uncovers the truth as to what happened to the victims." Said Captain Jade.
While everyone is having a hard time seeing the scene that is infront of them, Captain Jade instead smiled and felt thrilled to have solved the case.
"Urrpp.. Bleeeggghh!!"
Feres unfortunately couldn't handle the smell after seeing where it came from, he threw up on the floor and coughed a few times.
"Feres!.." Anton and Marc walked to him and gave him a little bit of support.
"Are you okay?"
"Y- yeah.. I- im fine. Ugh, sorry about that.."
"Don't force yourself.."
They held Feres together so that he wouldn't fall, and a few moments later he is back to normal again.
"Captain-
"Shut up, be quiet." Said Captain Jade, his voice sounded serious, like it had something to do about everyone's life in here.
So, Eldi and his comrade fell silent, no one in the room dared to open their mouth even in the slightest.
Their surroundings is filled with the sound of dripping water, it was like that for a solid 10 seconds.
'What is it..' Eldi thought.
Then, something felt a little odd, a sound of gurgling water was heard quietly, until it gets louder and louder.

Eldi's instinct catched up to him.
"EVERYONE GET OUT!" He screams as he pushed Marc and Feres outside of the room, Anton and Captain Jade are also quick to judge and he immediately follows Eldi, Anton left the room in time, but the same thing cannot be said to Captain Jade, since the door to exit the room isn't enough for two people, Captain Jade had to wait Anton first before exiting, and unfortunately, he was a little bit late.
After that warning, the room exploded in blood, liquid gushes out of the room, creating a massive wave like a flood, the walls crumbled and the symbols that were carved on it began to glow with red lights, Eldi and his comrades saw their captain swallowed by the sea of blood, they ran a couple feet, trying to dodge the oncoming flood, some of the blood from the wave touched their armor and it began to melt the hard steel, at that moment, Eldi realized that it would be extremely dangerous to come in contact with the liquid.
'Was it Magic!? Shit!.. We need to escape out of this place, i dont have time to think about that Captain!!'
The four of them ran again, trying their hardest to escape as fast as possible before they get swallowed by the blood wave.
"AGH!!"
Feres fell to the ground due to a small crack on the floor, he tripped over it and hit his head.
"FERES!!" Said Anton.
"Fuck!!"
Eldi and everyone else couldn't really see in this dark sewer, the lantern is no longer with them, they can't be sure whether the wave is close or not, if they stopped for just a few seconds, who knows they might just be drowned and die on the spot.
"Guhh..."
The blood wave is getting closer and closer, Eldi had to choose between escaping and leaving Feres or to save him and risked of being drowned by the blood wave, his face is covered in cold sweat, he doesn't want to die, but yet he also couldn't live peacefully if he knew that he could save his friend at this moment.
The choice is pretty clear to him and everybody else, Anton, Marc, and Eldi all rushed to Feres's side and immediately grabbed his hand so that he could stand up as fast as possible, although their surrounding is dark, they can still sense where Feres's sound is coming from.
"GODDAMNIT FERES HURRY THE FUCK UP!!" Eldi screams.
The wave is right infront of them, its loud splashing sound felt like it would break their ears, they knew it was too late, Eldi thought he will die right here and now, his vague vision blurred and for a split moment, he thought he saw what heaven looks like, it was.. Bright.
"AGGHHH!!"
Everyone froze in place, perhaps they have accepted their death, Eldi closed his eyes, and wait for the inevitable.
But it never came.
"ELDI!!" Marc called him.
Eldi thought he had already died and Marc is there in the afterlife with him, but to his surprise, he still can open his eyes again, and what he saw was not heaven or the afterlife, but instead the same dark sewer system that he almost died in.
The blood wave had stopped, it stopped right at their feet, the tip of their steel boots are melting, if they took one step further, their feet would melt in agony, it was a miracle that they survived.
The blood wave stopped and slowly retracted to where it came from, just like how ocean wave normally do, all that's left now is the small residue that have filled in to the floor crevices.
"Haahh.. haahh... We survived?.." Said Eldi, unable to control his breath and heartbeat.
Not just him, but Feres, Marc, and Anton, all of them are also unstable as they had just experieced a near-death scenario, they have cold sweats all over their face, and their legs are shaking, it can't be more obvious, they are traumatized.
No one had a thought about what happened with Captain Jade, they all seems to have forgotten him.
'Shit..'
Eldi quickly regained his composure since he doesn't know if there will be any threat or not, its better to not take any risk.
"Come on, we need to escape." Said Eldi to everyone, inviting them to continue moving.
He made everyone concious again and they soon followed him.

'Oohh..? It seems like they're quicker than i thought— Well, i didn't expect this, but its not like i can't deal with them now.'
Unbeknownst to Eldi and his comrades, there was a person that has been stalking them all this time, he hid in the dark corner of the other side, taking advantage of the darkness in the sewer and watched over Eldi's squad slowly making their way to the exit, from the way he talks and the fact that he is able to keep an eye on them in the darkness, it seems like this person have some sort of a night vision, his walk made almost no sound at all, and it was so quiet that it couldn't be heard by Eldi or everyone else.
'He should be at the other side now.'
